Works, but has range issues

Great Wireless Modem for home use

We haven't found any blank spots throughout the whole house (2 Story house). The older modem we had (from Century Link) kept having to be rebooted almost daily. I LOVE this new modem!

Easy to setup
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I did have to contact Motorola just to find out what the default login is since I couldn't run the setup program on my Windows 8 computer. Once I got that, it was very easy to setup. The only change I did was to setup the wireless security and passcode. Otherwise I contacted my ISP (Cox) and they were able to set it up in just a matter of minutes. Has been running great since then.

Good but not true dual band

Has Major Problems

I first noticed problems recording shows from my networked HDHomerun TV tuners and then when I tried to transfer some large video files to my server I noticed it was taking way to long. I found other people were having the same problem with packet collisions. There was no way to update the firmware because Motorola/Arris have it locked to the consumer and limit the configuration also. The firmware has to be updated by your cable company. The Wi-Fi range is also short compared to a separate Wi-Fi router.
