Great concept, modem, WiFi and router in one box, if it was reliable. WiFi keeps dropping to ‘limited’ access.

It works well most of the time. Periodically you have to reset it because it loses connection.

Didn't work with my internet provider and the range was not good enough to cover all of my house.

I got this to be able to use as a router/modem. The modem works fine but, the router keeps dropping connection. I have a wireless setup for my TV, and it kept dropping and restarting. I even used it with a separate router and it kept dropping connection. I got a stand alone router and now it works perfect. Do not waste your time

Do not buy this piece of equipment, mine not only knocked down my 75mbps internet to less than 40 mbps, it overheated and didn't want to work properly. Promptly returned and gave up on it. Buy router and modem separate... you will thank me later.

The modem/router combination was no faster then my older Belkin wireless router. Paid for a new modem/router and received a used repackaged product. Kind of upset about this. Returned and just bought a cheap modem and kept my old router.

Both Transmission/Reception is much less than a high performance wireless router. After completing subnet configuration, ended up returning product due to unusable wireless bandwidth.

I just got done returning this product (SBG6580 modem/AP/router).
It was actually a great product. My download speeds increased quite a bit compared to my previous setup - Moto SB4200 + Netgear WGT624. The range was good on the wireless, at least as good as the WGT624, which I never had a problem with. I had it running for ~4 days, with no connectivity issues.
Two problems, though: first, the interface for doing all the setup (didn't try the wizard) was a bit clunky, even doing things like changing setting on a different page if you made a change on the current page that disallowed the function. Once I understood what was allowed in each mode, it was easier, but I was confused for a couple hours.
Second, and this is my main complaint, is that the dual band (2.4GHz, 5GHz) function isn't simultaneous. You can run at 2.4, or you can run at 5. If you choose 5, you only talk to 5Gig 802.11n devices and 802.11a devices. Any g and b devices are dead. I was hoping to set up my 2.4 devices on the primary network, and the 5G devices on the "guest" network, but there's only 1 control for the network frequency, and it covers both networks.
So, if you would be happy with a speedy modem/AP/gigabit router at an awesome price that does EITHER 2.4GHz or 5GHz, buy it.
if you want simultaneous dual band, look elsewhere (I'm getting a SB6120 and a Netgear WNDR3700)

I anticipated that my computer (an Asus laptop) would operate faster with this newer and supposedly improved modem. It has not. Nor has the newer and, again, supposedly improved router upgraded the performance of our IPhone.

After a few month, have to reset by turn it off and turn it back on many times each day to get a good normal speed. Wish I can return to get something else.
