Purchase this to replace modem that I was leasing. Set up was a bit challenging and you have to call internet provider. Once completed, range was about the same but has intermittent signal drops and have to reset. Also, this modem DOES NOT HAVE PHONE OUTPUT so I had to keep other modem and get splitter (which also contributes to signal loss). Overall, I'm still pleased with purchase.

Had no problem hooking it up. Recognized my internet with no trouble and works great with my smart TV. Seems just as fast as the router/modem Comcast was charging me for a $10.00 monthly rental fee.

This router does the job I recommend for people with Internet to buy this router. I know the xfinity provides you with one but sometimes the come defected and you have to go through a trouble shoot just to get a new one. On the other hand you paying a fee for renting then router. Best to get your own.

After finding the motorola surfboard extreme. My wireless internet is now faster than before. I am able to use many tools with this all in one modem/wifi.

Good product, have had no issues so far, and it will pay for itself because I no longer rent the equipment from the cable company. Ha ha Time Warner!!!!

I bought this modem/router so I wouldn't have to pay to use Mediacom's equipment anymore. While this product is a little expensive, it was completely worth it. The ease of installation was the best part. The wifi username and password are on the bottom of the product. If you're a little more tech savvy, you can access the equipment and create your own username and password. If you're not tech savvy, there are directions on the Installation CD that tell you how to do it. I have not had any problems with my equipment since I bought it a little over a month ago.

Modem is pretty fast, but not that reliable. I have had it cut out quite a few times with Xfinity, but have had no such issues with my old netgear router.

Set up the modem quickly and easily. Had to contact Time Warner though. The in store rep forgot to turn on the modem in the store. Not the product's fault. So far it works without incident.

I purchased this to avoid paying a monthly rental fee at TimeWarner cable. Definitely worth the cost. Very easy to set up, and wireless reaches my entire apt.

The Surfboard was purchased to avoid monthly charges to rent from the cable company. It took 3 days to activate it because the password for Wi-Fi was unacceptable. The key is DO NOT include spaces in the password. I talked to 7 techs. Finally I talked to a Motorola tech. Then it worked perfectly.

My old Linksys Cable Modem died a horrific death, so I needed a replacement quickly for our internet connectivity around the house. This Motorola filled the bill quickly and just blew out the competition. I have better strength all around and outside the house, and the setup was incredibly easy. The longest part was registering the MAC with my cable internet provider. I highly recommend this product to others!

Buy this and Stop paying your cable provider every month for a modem lease! In less then a year you will have paid them enough to buy this modem outright, and everything after that is just throwing them extra money. This modem has been great and I have had zero issues with the wireless connection.

Router was professionally installed, works great, and secure. Wifi speed has never been this fast and have not experienced any problems or network lag so far. I have multiple and different types of devices connected and constantly streaming video (desktop PC, PS4, iPhones, laptops, and tablet).

I had to buy this as a replacement modem since the one I had prior was not strong enough for my entire house so far it seems to be working really well.

It has not been a month and I only had to disconnect it once. Installation was not difficult as long as you followed instructions. Did not have to call anyone for help with installation. For the period that I have had it, it has been doing well. My download is very fast. All buttons on equipment is always lit. It works with all my equipment. I would recommend the purchase from my short experience.

this is an upgrade, so far, so good, works fast, easy to understand.

It work great and compatible with Comcast. Wifi work great as well.
