I bought this combination unit to replace the cable company's modem ( and save $6/month) and at same time upgrade the wireless to dual band to service netflix on TVs from basement to 2nd floor of my home, and computers/iPads at various locations. I did need to add a range extender to get better speed at some locations in the house, and this made the network more complicated to keep up and running. I don't know that any other home use equipment would be any simpler to use. Have to manually reset one or the other of the modem-router or extender at least once a week; certainly after any power outage.

Works great with my cable service (Media comm). Is super fast even with multiple devices connected via WiFi. And was super easy to set up.

Works well, has good range throughout my house (approx 1400 sf) plus basement. And, it even has a good enough range to run computers, etc. in the basement! Overall very happy with purchase - no gripes or complaints from me!

The router is blazing fast, although there were some hiccups in streaming HD content from my computer to my TV over the WIFI. I'm going to try hardwiring my computer so I don't run into that issue but I doubt there's such a thing as a router that can transfer data well from one device to another. Oh well.

This router was so easy to setup, and the wifi works great. Nice not to have both a both needs taken care of by one device.

This is good dual band modem router from Motorola...I good coverage with this...quite satisfactory ..

Modem works great for small number of devices, but an expanded modem may be required for more users.

Very easy to set up. The unit works perfectly and has good range. I appreciate having both my modem and router in one unit

We recently moved and the modem we had barely moved data. We replaced it with the SURFboard and noticed a lot of improvement immediately. No dropped connections either.

This product was recommended by my cable internet company, and it has been fine. No complaints yet.

I am by no means a Tech-Guru. That being said this item was not only easy to install, but an excellent choice with at a more than reasonable price point. I highly recommend this modem-router combo if you choose to eliminate cable services altogether. This 2-for-1 product allows your internet provider to remotely access your service for any potential trouble-shooting without any of the hassles usually associated with having a technician come by your home. Streaming quality is perfect!

Little hard to set up but once it was going it works well. Replace the rentals everyone buy your own

This is a good quality modem and router combo. It has provided good service with no issues so far.

It is an OK modem, but I think is was a overpriced by about $25.00 compair3ed to other brand names!

good for streaming videos.... even tho TWC says it only goes to 100mb... I'm pretty sure they lied and aren't sending the speed they say they are... it should work fine, even tho I've yet to see it even go at 100mb speed

Got this and the only problem I have is how to update it other Than that the unit is excellent

I has to use a wifi extender prior to buying this motom now I no longer need the wifi extender and returned it to the store as well as saved on my direct tv bill by returning their motum save a lot of money over time.

Overall the modem works very well. It was easy to setup and is fast. Works out of the box with local cable internet and is supported.

Great modem but installation is clumsy and when I called for support they asked for money. I had to get IM support which is ok but not the way I like to interact with tech support; although it was free. Glad I bought it but was very frustrated with the install. Once you get it is easy to navigate.

The Motorola Surfboard extreme modem is really fast, only thing that was difficult is trying to get it set up, not very intuitive, no proper documentation as to how to set up, but once set up all works fast and smoothly.
