I had bought another modem and router separately before. And I was always facing one issue or the other with them. This Router + Modem works very well. I have 25mbps connection from comcast and it provides me ~25 mpbps on my laptop with online speed test websites. I am fine with this .. The only thing that i need to do is to reboot it once a week. It gets someissues like wifi not available after few days .. i think it gets tired :) . So if you dont want any jazzy stuff line(which i am not sure this will handle because I have not tested it) , then this is the modem for you.

Router & modem both work as they are supposed to. The price was reasonable, so it beats paying rental to my cable company each month. I didn't give it 5 stars only because it is only wireless 802.11n. If it had been 802.11ac for this price it would definitely be a 5.

This Modem/Router is an Excellent product for the investment ! Very easy to hook up and start using. No issues since we started using it about a month ago.

Easy to set up and signal distance excellent. The physical size of the unit is also a big plus in that it is not overly large. Excellent choice at the price.

I was forced to upgrade my modem by Xfinity. This was a good option for an up to date, affordable modem and router setup. WiFi speed definitely increased. Easy setup as well.

Easy to install and works great. We have at least 3 electronics on it all the time and sometimes more.

set up is easy. changing the wifi password is a PAIN. the instructions say to login with the default user name and password is. password was invalid. i found the correct password using google. bottom line. if you don't need to change password, don't..

I needed to upgrade my wireless router I think mine came over on the Mayflower. I had changed the Comecast Internet so I decided I wanted both in on box. Did the recearch read all the reviews want to the website of the company that produces them (yes I'm one of those who looks at it all before investing) decided it was worth the money. Brought it home hooked the cable up my laptop by enthernet cable to it let it talk to my internet provider put in the passcode it gave me.READ THE PAPER WORK to find my user name and password the changed the long passcode to one I could remember. Now my husband's addiction to Creaglist cars and Trucks can go undisturbed. Great Buy well worth the money.

Very affordable device that will pay for itself if you are currently renting a cable modem. Fairly easy setup and a generous amount of ports in the back for connections. The only downside so far is the range. The distance through walls is not very good.

Modem was reasonably priced, easy to follow instructions and worked perfectly once installed. I'm very pleased with the ease of replacing a modem.

It's a great product for home and small office use. It has the capacity to support upto 100mbps downlink which is great at this price. Setup was like a breeze. I purchased this to replace my ISP's router from Time Warner and I forsee no regret as I'll save lot more in long term to avoid huge rental fee from TWC.

when I first took it up it kept dropping the signal like the previous one, call their help desk, they were no help, but after tinkering with it for a while, determine there was too many other 2.4 gigahertz signals in the area, switch to five gigahertz, work just fine after that, slightly shorter range though.

Router and modem is all in one unit. One less ac cord running from your wall, as well one less ethernet cable running from your wall to your modem. I live in an apartment, so the range is not an issue, so i cant give a true assessment on how good this is for a multi story home. the packaging will tell you on the back whether or not this is what you are looking for in regards to range. Delivers fast download speeds, which suits all needs whether it be media, online streaming of movies, or online gaming. Price is comparable to buying a quality modem and router together. So why not take care of it all in one purchase. I can say ive never really been disappointed with any of my motorola products I have purchased over the years. Definitely worth the money, unless you need something even faster which they also have for a couple of extra bucks.

Replaced an older, non DOCSIS-3 modem and WRT-54G with this unit. Once getting the modem to sync with cable provider (which took a couple of tries - not the modem's fault) setup was a breeze. Much better performance than old modem. Wireless-N connectivity works great - using it in a big house and it seems to have pretty good range.

ordered on line and got it in like 3 days so saved a trio to the store easy hookup and comcast was great its fast and reliable getting 56mbps

I bought this since I have been paying for faster internet service, but my old 5101 couldn't handle the upped bandwidth. It works great and I'm connected before my Mac even finishes fully booting up. There is definitely faster speeds and I do get my downloads faster (not lightning fast, but good enough to make me happy). Note: Don't just try to plug it in and get on the net. You NEED to call your cable company to 'provision' the modem. Otherwise, you will connect just fine, but your web pages won't appear. Simple as that. Once I called Cox and gave them all the #s off the modem that they needed, I was instantly online and it's been great ever since. I am in an apt with this modem and I can even go outside, downstairs and my ipad and iphone will still be connected to wifi out to about 90 feet (through the walls). Not bad in my opinion!

Product was easy to install. I had interference problems with the factory settings but called technical service and the tech was extremely helpful, patient, and knowledgeable. One key was that I did not realize I would lose the service support of my cable supplier when I replaced their modem with my own.
