Super fast and easy set up and that also describes the performance. Giving me blazing fast speeds along with my Google Mesh devices. Highly recommend. Very happy

The Arris S33 is an improvement over the SB8200. It runs cooler than its predecessor and is less buggy in my opinion. Setup on Comcast was easy and went without a hitch. The case design, smaller size and 2.5 Gig Port with this price point makes this modem a good buy. Performance has been flawless for nearly a month. Now if there were some wired 2.5 Gig routers available to exploit the capability of this Modem.

If you know anything about modems, you know there was a time when Motorola was the unbeatable kid on the block and made SOLID devices. That's not the case anymore, as I had to turn in my Motorola MB8611 modem under Geek Squad warranty for this Arris Model. I purchased the MB8611 in 2022 and was surprised it had a failure so soon. For some reason, the device just dropped the download speeds to abysmal 0.5 Mpbs levels or lower. Xfinity pushed settings to it and it popped by up for a few hours, then it dropped again, and they said considering how old it was I should replace it. LISTEN TO ME, buy a Geek Squad Warranty with your modem, it will save you the pain in the future and maybe some costs if it fails before it's typical EOL. I picked this since I'm on the gig extra plan with Xfinity and pulled speeds about 900+ Mbps. I recently upgraded to their highest speed consumer plan and this bad boy is going strong and not being a headache.

I have Xfinity internet, and bought this as an upgrade for an old Arris 6141 DOCSIS 3.0 modem. I wanted a DOCSIS 3.1 modem as I'm considering getting the gigabit plan down the road. Setup and activation via the Xfinity mobile app took approximately 15 minutes. Thank you, Comcast, for not requiring us to talk with a customer service rep to activate a modem. I'm getting the speeds rated for my internet plan and have no disconnects or dropouts so far.

This is a great unit and I think it might be hit and miss being such a new device. I bought this to upgrade from Docsis 3.0 to 3.1 since I upgraded to gig speed internet ( gotta upgrade sometime) while the isp was provisioning the unit it was working great at my former 400 Mbps plan. After the isp upgraded the unit they began to upgrade my speed to gig internet. After that the unit was not responsive. It would not pull up web pages however the isp saw it as fine. It is still a new device that may need another firmware upgrade to truly make these plug and play (note date : 12-17-21 as the trial date as they may update it soon). Other than that I truly see this as a great unit. Ultimately had to return it and opted for the other Arris 3.1 unit.

Only had it for a short while but functions well and get great speeds. Easy setup and love that it gives me an extra port if needed. Only thing I don’t like and it is not unique to this unit or most modems is that the manufacturer does mot allow you to update your own firmware…That is hard to find anywhere. It is also bery compact and easy to fit in most spaces.

The ARRIS SURFboard delivers fast, reliable internet with DOCSIS 3.1 support, ideal for streaming, gaming, and multi-device households. Its dual ports handle high-speed connections efficiently, while setup is straightforward. The sleek design fits any home, though the single LED status light may be confusing. Overall, a top-tier modem.

Love the speed I got when booted up. Due to this model having heat issues(no vents on both sides) I'm having to shut down my modem every night so it can cool off. Arris is a good brand modem. I have had previous models but never one like this. As a rec ok mmandation if anyone does but this model is to plan to purchase a mini fan. Those like they have in deck top computers to cool out modem down while in use. That's fan is my next purchase.

Retired an ARRIS SB6183 (solid modem) and got the S33. PROS: - ARRIS, solid company - Lastest DOCSIS 3.1 modem - The footprint is a bit smaller than 6183 with great looks - x2 ethernet ports = 2.5 Gbps and 1 Gbps CONS: - $$$, bit high on the coin but get it on sale - 1 status LED, if your're used to multiple ststusLEDS, you'll probably won't notice it down the road. Mines turned off. - Nag screen when accessing the modem config to download the ARISS app, not necessary - Gets a bit warm

Connection was easy, speeds are great, compatible with my local internet service provider. No complaints.

I bought this to replace a modem that got fried by a power surge. I have had zero issues and it was super easy to plug in and use. Be aware if you have cable you will need to call your provider to make sure this is registered/authorized. Works great for gigabit internet!

After getting a 12 month free upgrade from 500Mb to 1 Gig (940Mb) I decided to upgrade to the S33 modem as my Arris TM1602 maxes out at about 750Mb. Was on the phone with optimum for an hour trying to activate it and eventually was getting real slow speeds and they set up a tech visit for the next day. THEN, after hanging up the phone it suddenly started working at full speed of around 940Mb. Called to cancel the visit. Getting steady 940Mb since.

Works great, 4 months and zero issues so far. Does get warm, so hopefully that does not impact long term use.

I had been wanting to get rid of my poorly performing "upgraded" modem supplied by Spectrum "for free", The old modem needed to be restarted approximately 4 times a week, the Arris modem is working incredibly well, was easy to set up, and my upload and download speeds are dramatically improved. When paired with an Orbi router and mesh network, my entire home and yard get smoking fast internet speeds. My three millennial children are impressed; that is the best endorsement I can think of.

Super fast with no problems. Dual LAN connections make managed networking easier. Highly recommended. Has 10G and 1G connections. It does get warm so cool area recommended for installation. It will last longer if it keeps cooler.

I was having issues with WiFi around my house. This solved every single one of my problems. Lightning fast speed, no more signal drops, didn’t take up a lot of space. If you’re thinking about it, get it.

After upgrading to a Unifi Cloud Gateway Max Router and pairing it with this Arris SURFboard S33, we were able to achieve the internet speeds we are currently paying for, which were previously out of reach for our old Netgear CM400 modem/Google Nest router combo. The upgrade has been extremely successful, and we are now fully utilizing the higher internet speeds that we purchased. It's not the fastest/newest modem but as far as standalone modems goes it seems to be excellent. For people looking to upgrade their modem and wifi router, some of the wifi 7 router options in the store are rather expensive compared to a Unifi Cloud Gateway/Unifi Wifi 7 Access Point combo.

Excellent. I had zero issues setting this up with Comcast. Took 5 mins to register it on their network with the app. Now I get much faster and dependable speed out of my 1 gig service. It has a very small footprint, really very small. This plus TP link Deco mesh WiFi devices really helped all my streaming devices, game console, and other various WiFi things work flawlessly with no lagging.
