The thing I liked most about this movie is that it was not your typical alien movie. The aliens had a true purpose and movie's plot was very cleverly executed. This could be a true movie classic.

This is easily one of the best movies of the last few years and Amy Adams, as usual, turns in a stellar performance. One day she'll get that Oscar. This is part exercise in storytelling and part sci-fi thriller. It shouldn't be missed.

The movie pulls you in after expertly getting you emotionally contemplated to the characters. The twist comes a little early, but allows the audience to go back and realize what truly is happening.

I am a sci-fi fan. You gotta pay attention in this movie to understand it. By far a different approach to the first contact scenario on Earth. There is on point in plot at the end that needs to be answered but overall a great movie IMHO.

This movie is amazing but it is worth it to watch only one time, since you already know what is going to happen and that it's the interesting part of the movie. No action by great special effects

I liked this movie but it hit a little weird at times. I'm normally not much of a SciFi fan which is why I think it took me off guard. If you like this genre though I think you'll love the movie.

This movie took a while to get involved in, and the message of negotiation versus armed conflict took too long. Message of aid for all proponents was time consuming with little actual action.

The movie, Arrival, is one for twists. You will enjoy how the movie progresses to reach the end, which will be something to wrap your mind around. This movie has a different way to grab its audience who will find the ending worthwhile.

Without giving it away, it has quite a story that is unconventional in how it is told. If you pay close attention closely to what is on the screen, you might figure out what the big twist is before the end where the twist is revealed.

I had heard good things about this movie, and bought it on sale. It was decent and so-so. The aliens and the language interpretation, obviously were the selling point, and that intrigued me.

Saw this movie at the theater and grabbed it up when I saw it at the store. It is an excellent movie in the Close Encounters genre. It is well-acted and the personal "backgrounds" of the main characters are very well crafted.

This movie was really well done, definitely deserved all the accolades it got during award season. We have a nice blu-ray home theater setup, so the music and the sound effects were fantastic. Definitely worth the price of admission.

Arrival is rare movie that comes along once in awhile that hits on most points without being full of inappropriate content. It's a cerebral film that was executed very very well. You feel motivated to learn after watching the film.

I had no idea what the movie was about other than it had aliens. Two friends said to watch it. I bought and have viewed it a couple of times now. Really good performance by Amy Adams and Jeremy Renner. I highly recommend this movie.

The pace of the movie is just right. The ending gives the viewer something to think about. The Universe is billions of years old, huge, still expanding, and can't help but believe there is life elsewhere other than here on Earth.

This was a very good movie, completely not your normal alien invasion type movie. It's truly a heart felt movie, very emotional and very well done. Watch it and you will see what I mean...

This was an entertaining and smart movie. The characters were engaging even though a few times it got a little dry. The conclusion was good and overall, a quite enjoyable movie.

Good realistic scifi movie with careful consideration given to the real difficulties communicating with extra terrestrial life (should it ever get here). The ending was clever - nice twist.

Yet another movie I really enjoyed. So well done from plot, to special m effects, to musical score. A little hard to wrap your head around but so thought provoking.

This was a very interesting take on alien visitation, and communication relationships. It did have some surprising twists but wasn't over the top dramatic. I enjoyed this movie.
