The Humanity of Arrow Explored

Arrow's 3 writers and Stephen Amell do an excellent job in this retelling of DC Green Arrow, which he becomes this season. The interesting part of each show is the flashback showing the development and humanity of Oliver Queen to the Arrow. And from this show spin off series have been released in the Flash and the Legends of Tomorrow. Arrow laid the groundwork for the CW and these writers to add Supergirl and have had crossover events this season.

Arrow has changed quite a bit over the years, and season 4 is definitely most fantastic yet, dealing with a more mystical villain than before. I don't mind the more comic-book direction of the series, and I love how they are tying together into a common television universe. Neal McDonough is excellent as Damien Darkh! As for the set itself, the blu-rays look great and the ultraviolet version is a nice bonus.

Arrow Season 4 wasn't my favorite season, but still a very essential part of the characters development. In his attempt to become a different kind of hero, I feel the show lost a lot of the luster of previous seasons. Granted this season has several amazing episodes. However, Damian Dhark did not feel as epic of a villain as previous villains. Still worth the watch however.

The Arrow was the first DC series to air on the CW channel, and it still holds your attention with it's fantastic story lines, filled with action, and the usual heart of the series. If you have not been watching this series, I recommend you start picking this up, if your a true super hero fanatic, like myself, and you will not be disappointed, at all..

Still a great show, season 4 definitely has its ups and downs. the first half of the season is definitely stronger than the second half though there are some really great episodes. Season 4 has a great and mysterious villain in Damien Darhk (Neal McDonough). Overall a good season, personally I like it a lot but I hope the show returns to it roots in season 5

What to say?

Many have said that season 4 of Arrow has been its weakest. For the most part, I agree. I couldn't stand Damian Dark. The team lost its way. Olicity.
But rewatching the season with episodes back to back, it actually wasn't as bad as I thought it be the first time. I think a lot of what was wrong with the season was more the time between episodes in the real world. Don't get me wrong, the season still wasn't the best, but it wasn't bad either.

Not the Best, but Not the Worst

Arrow season 4 is not the worst season. Damien Darkh is a fascinating villain in his portrayal, and team Arrow find themselves in a very new and different type of conflict. Some Standouts:
Echo Kellum
Felicity having a meaty storyline
A payoff to the "who's in the grave" mystery that carries real weight
Neal McDonough
Captain Lance's moral predicament
Payoff on Oliver's pregnant girlfriend flashback from a previous season

Ever since I heard that there was going to be a Green Arrow show, I've always been exited to see the next episode and then even the next. I missed out on season 3 and 4 when on tv, so this is perfect. The discs run as a "marathon mode" so they will keep playing without you having to select the next episode! It's awesome!

This comic inspired TV shows is one of my favorites. Not many shows and get away with two different story lines happening at the same time, and this show over the cores of all 4 seasons has woven 2 very different and yet very connected stories together. With each season becoming darker and more hopeful at the same time.

Got it at a great price and it has lots of extras. It also has the first part of the two parter with the flash. I have not see this done before and was a very nice touch. I greatly apreshiate it even if I bought the flash blu Ray it is a lot easier to not have to switch disks or digital location either.

Arrow Season 4 Blu-Ray Boxset Review

The picture was quite good. The sound was mixed in a nice sounding DTS-HD 5.1 format.
The Season 4 plot just didn't cut it for me. The "Olicity" pairing also got to be a bit of a turn-off for me as I watched the episodes. The flashbacks also got to be a bit tiresome as well.
Recommended only to fans of the show. Hopefully Season 5 will turn things around for the ongoing story of Oliver Queen.

This show just keeps getting better with each season. Lacking the budget that you would see at on a Disney show for visual effects, the CG and practical fight scenes are superb. The bonus features aren't throw away features, but give great insight and details. Must own this one and all other seasons!

I love the show, good adventures weekly and coherent story line over the course of the season. I'm an avid Blu Ray collector, CW always does a excellent job with their releases, plenty of special features and they aren't just fluff pieces, there is some real meat and potatoes stuff in there.

Arrow is one of my favorite characters
My husband and I both enjoy this show
Look forward to it
And Felicity really is The Arrow's best match for romance
Felicity is a hit with technology and she has the smarts to back it up
She plays the beautiful brainiac - perfect role for her.

Arrow has been a very consistant show for the CW. It has a little bit of everything one could want from tv show. It has action, romance, weapons, and peril. Arrow has a few up and down moments in term of quality, but for the most part it is another solid season for the DC tv crew.

Oliver Queen finally becomes the Green Arrow in season 4! Continuing with the dark and gritty tones the series is known for, this season finds Oliver battling Damien Darhk and the ruthless HIVE organization. Season two is still my favorite but this one comes in at a close second.

Each season of DC's Arrow just keeps getting better. No only does the show itself get better, but the crossovers and teasers make it even better. I am extremely excited to see what the next season holds for this group of heroes. Plus who does not love Felicity and Oliver?!

The Arrow continues to be one of the best dark shows on TV. The constant mixing of cast with other DC properties adds a fun side to it as well. The fourth season ended so completely that I thought they might be pulling the show. Thankfully it's back with a fifth season.

This show was really good this season. The whole Oliver / Felicity thing was getting to be too much. Matt Ryan reprising his role as Constantine was a true treat. The lost of Katie Cassidy as The Black Canary was something I really did not think would happen. I am glad both this seasons release and The Flash both sets gave you the 2 part crossover.

I'm very pleased with the DVD that I selected. When I was unable to find the DVD on the shelves, an associate went back into the stockroom to find it for me. I especially like the fact that I could enjoy my movie, without commercials, with extreme clarity.
