I must start by saying I don't know what characters were cut from the source material since it's been a long time since I finished reading it. But it was an overall solid and enjoyable adaption with some of the "games", "tests" whatever you want to call them from the manga and a few that were made soley for the movie. The only negative is the exclusive ones were extremely predictable pretty much from the start. The other negative is that it's obviously an incomplete work due to it being based only on the first part of a title that had two seperate series and multiple arcs in each. Bottom line? If yu enjoyed the manga, if you like stuff like this, if you can get it cheap, if you can rent it, etc than it's worth it.
