my personal number one game of the year, I will play CoD MW2 for a week hardcore, then set it aside to destroy this game, maybe even twice. They have gotten rid of the flags, with is both good and bad IMO, since i still haven't found all of them in the first game, even after 4 play throughs. as far as repetitive, the first really wasn't that bad compared to what some say, but this one has been opened up in so many ways that it will be one big sandbox to get lost in. PS, Ezio can swim, steal weapons and kill with them, grab people while hanging on a ledge and throw them off, use a new barter system to buy weapons and upgrades instead of earn them, and can use a gun, and so much more... did i mention that he is best friends with Leonardo Da Vinci? geepers I am pumped... now I wont be able to sleep tonight because of all the adrenaline... try it for yourself, if you hated the first or heard bad things, give the second one a try, they listened to the customers and revamped it... it will be amazing.

This is one of the funnest games that i have ever played it is better then the first one because in this one you can get like over 20 different weapons and other items such as smoke bombs and now there is a poisen blade and there are also lots of secret stuff to collect and this is well over a 15 hour game if you do all the missions and stuff.

Picks up where the previous game left off with a whole new twist to things! If you played the first game and found some of the quests/tasks a bit tedious you will like the second game better! About 100 of the 200 missions are entirely optional and not relevant to the main storyline. The game takes place in the late 1400's and features locations such as Florence, Venice, and Rome. The graphics are of course stunning, featuring detailed city maps and life-like textures on buildings and NPCs. Assassin's Creed II features a whole new equipment system where you get to buy/upgrade your weapons, armor, and clothes. This adds another level of depth to the game, letting you develop your character as you go along. After playing through about 95% of the missions available, I finished at around 40 hours of play time. If you only play the main storyline, you might end up around 8-10 hours total.

Quality game. A little confusing at first as this is the first of this series that I have played. The cut-scenes are what bogs this game down, but are necessary for the storyline I suppose. Quality graphics. It is sometimes fun to just free-run around.

The game makes you want to play and has a good storyline.

Best Assasins Creed game in the series...IMHO. Enjoy!!

I purchased this game and was sucked right in after the first 5 minutes of playing. Unlike the original Assassin's Creed, I found this sequel to be much easier to follow along with. Not only was it easier to find and run through all of the jumps and swings and platforms, but controlling the character was also a lot easier. I found the storyline to be very captivating - the Italian cities and language were all very fun to take in. I urge anybody getting this game to be careful when turning off your console. This game likes to autosave a LOT - probably every 2-5 minutes on average.... whenever you complete a sequence or pass a checkpoint. If you turn off the console while saving, your saved game will be corrupt and you will have to start over from the beginning.

I was a very big fan of the first one i enjoyed it alot. Once i heard about the second one i was already anticipating it. I watched a few trailers and i was amazed by the new and improved things you can do. I bought it yesterday the day it came out and was a little surprised. As soon as you start the game there is ACTION. What surprised me was you got to battle outside the animus with Desmond. That was awesome. I don't want to give anymore details you definately have to play it yourself. It's the best!!!!!

Assassins Creed 2 has great graphics, voice acting, and storyline. Overall a great game but I noticed sometimes the graphics glitch and the peoples hands go through what they are supposed to be touching.

I like that it takes place exactly where it left off. Another feature that was a need was that this guy could climb and go anywhere, but couldn't swim which didn't make any sense. I'm glad they added that in this sequel. Visual graphics look is amazing and having it viewed in HD is even more brilliant. Ezio Assassins mansion is beautiful with the art you collect as you play the game. Every town look so real even to the drunk guys sitting in the alleyways drinking, to the people converting to on another, the couples arguing, or the ones you can catch giving directions. Another appreciation is how you (Ezio) is able to rebuild a town with his own money and thereafter is able to receive revenue.

Some people have qualms with the control scheme. I agree, in part, that the camera movements can be a little jarring at times. But, this appears to be an artifact of third-person gaming and not so much a unique problem of this game. The free-flow running and climbing is a wonderful and exciting innovation for action games. At times Ezio would go jumping somewhere I didn't want him to, but this has more to do with the shortcomings of the Xbox360 controller design. Overall, one of the most pleasing and gratifying games I have played all year, and I buy almost every top-rated title.

I have not purhcased this game yet but, Ih ave played it on my friend's PS3 and it was amazing. I mean the graphics were stunning as well as ezio doing moves such as jumping from building to building and killing guards. It is worth $30.00 and I think this game should be voted game of the year for 2009.

I was looking forward to the release of this follow up to the original Assasin's Creed with much anticipation and I was not disappointed. What this game brings is more of a story line and and diversity that I have not experienced in previous action games. There seems to be games within the game and challenges that do not require elimination of the enemy. It is probably closer to role playing which combined with the Assassin persona is really a great game. Anyone who purchases this game will not regret the money spent.

When I first bought this game I was a little unsure of it at first because allthough I liked the first one I was hoping that the second one would be better. Fourtunatly I got my wish. When I first started playing the game I was amazed at how sharp all of the grafics were, and I found myself getting lost in just the amazing scenary of Italy. I would definatly say that it is 10 times better than the first one.

This game has done way more than anything you could ever achieve in Assassins Creed.You don't have to go back and get lectured all the time about what to do for the next mission, and Ezio is in a class of his own. Loved Altiar but sorry dude Assassins Creed 2 blows the first one out of the water. Not to mention Desmond got to a better storyline this time around. 5 out of 5 this game is amazing.

The first game was incredible. Gameplay and story was eccellent. This one looks like it will not dissapoint. Can't Wait!

It has awesome gameplay and an interesting story line that ties in a lot of actual history so you learn a little while your play (gasp!). However, the most fun part of the game is being able to control your assassinations better and vary them a lot more than in the first one. This is one of my favorite games of all time and I would strongly suggest (demand) that anyone who like video games buy it as soon as possible.

I was not a huge fan of the first Assassin's Creed. They got a lot of things right, but after a while it just seemed like the missions repeated themselves and before long it became kind of a chore to continue playing. So I got rid of it without ever finishing. This game is what Assassin's Creed SHOULD have been. As an independent game designer, I am consistently blown away by the care and attention that every aspect of this game has received. That's not to say that it doesn't have its faults- the opening scene, for example, is boring and unnecessary- but what it gets wrong is NOTHING compared to what it gets right. I wish all games had the polish that this one does. It's a true work of art, and I'd recommend it to anyone- whether you're a fan of the 3rd person sneak-around genre or not, this game is an awesome experience.

gift for my man. he is constently asking me to watch what the game does and the multiple ways of doing it. out of all his games this is game is his favorite for the remainder of the year. his bro is a gamer and this game came recommended first. so bad that we had to get a second tv for me so i wont go insain. so, boys and ur toys...try it and ull be hooked. GAME ON!

It doesn't get much better than this! This game is absolutely fantastic and I highly recommend it to everyone. If you enjoyed the first Assassin's Creed even remotely, or even if you hated it, this sequel will blow you away! This game rivals its predecessor in every way, and has set a standard that will be hard to match.If you don't have it, get it!
