Great game with really good game play and graphics. If you like Assassin's Creed games get it. You can wait until it is on sale and get it cheap. You will not regret it.

Great addition to the assassins creed franchise. Hadn't gotten a new AC title in a while. Great game to start back with.

All I can say is What a turn around for the Assassin's Creed Series. I have had early access to a PS4 through a friend who won the T-bell competition and my copy of AC4 arrived early today. While I have not completed the full game yet I can tell you that after the disappointment that was ACIII this game is in a new league. While some online reviewers find the story to be a bit dull I must disagree. The story starts out strong and has stayed strong thus far. Some of the side quests are the same find this person follow this person but overall they are all very interesting. The new ship element is probably the best part of the game. The ability to sail around the virtual world and find your own adventure is second to none. Graphically all I can say is wow. After having seen both the PS3 and PS4 version together the difference is night and day. The dynamic weather effects are some of the best I've ever seen from a console game and the high fidelity textures just blow my mind. If you are getting a PS4 please do yourself a favor and do not pass up on this game.

Cool gameplay particularly the naval battle. Graphics, story, and you should buy the strategy guide book.

    A New Assassin's Creed Experience

For a franchise that mostly has the same game play throughout each iteration, Assassin's Creed IV is definitely a new experience in a very good way. Don't get me wrong, it's still an Assassin's Creed game, but this could honestly be a standalone title or a beginning to a new franchise altogether. Personally, this is my favorite in the series and you just can't beat getting to play a pirate and exploring the seven seas.

I purchased this game because I have played all the previous games in this series. They are all great at telling a story, but they are also kind of repetitive in my opinion. In Black Flag it changed enough to make it fun again. The naval part of the game is a great departure from the land based games previously. It added a whole new element to the game play with ship battles at sea. I would recommend this to anyone interested in the Assassin's Creed franchise.

I know the storyline of Assassin's Creed 2 often garners it the "best game in the franchise title." However, despite focusing less on the Assassins vs. Templars storyline, Black Flag more than makes up for it with its next gen graphics and visuals. And really, who didn't want to be a swashbuckling pirate when they were a kid?

This is a great game, and one of the few that have held my attention long enough to try and get 100% completion. The mostly open world is great, and the ship combat is a lot of fun. The biggest downside is the repetitive nature of many of the tasks, such as following a person or eavesdropping on a conversation. While still frustrating, it isn't quite as bad as in previous Assassin's Creed titles.

Might be the best AC game out there! They changed the missions to be more open-ended like the original AC rather than leading you through them by the hand like in some of the more recent titles. The cutscene graphics could pass for real life, and the gameplay are the best I have seen (though, obviously, not quite as good as the cutscenes). AC4 is an awesome game with a completely fresh concept that keeps it entertaining and gives it great replay value. Highly recommended!

Played the earlier games and got bored of the concept after a while. Then I decided to give this one a shot. The game kept the concepts that made it so popular, and yet added a whole new depth. Who doesn't like naval warfare, assassination, and intrigue nicely packaged? Get the game.

After the buggy debacle that was AC3 I had decided not to pick this one up but fortunately at the midnight hour I decided to get it(I'll admit I was not going to get Red Dead Remption when it was realeased yeah yeah quit your Booing) in the end I was glad that I ended up getting RDR. As for AC4 the gameplay is great the ship battles in the beginning are really fun but after fully customizing your ship all ship battles after that just seem lopsided the only ships that offer a challenge are the 4 Legendary ships you need to sink to get a trophy/achievement. sailing the seas does breakup the monotony of being landlocked to city to city combat mechanics have been finely tuned so taking 10 enemies in one fluid motion can be done. all in all a good game to add to your library. a must own for any AC fan

One of the best Assassins Creed made. Even if you are not a fan of the series, if you like real pirate history, you will like this. This is the only game out there that I know of that lets you board/ take ships and go Whaling/ Shark fishing.

The Assassin's Creed games are often accused of yearly sequel fatigue, but this latest entry is out to prove the naysayers wrong. The pirate theme adds a lot of depth to this game, and there's certainly no shortage of content here. The usual mix of assassination and traversal is tighter than ever, and naval battles are fun and addictive. The Freedom Cry DLC is fantastic, and worth every penny. The PS4 version definitely looks sharper than the PS3 version, but not astoundingly so. Worth a look for old fans who've lost interest in the series.

    Pirate Adventure

Ubisoft has definitely improved things since their last Assassin's Creed. Playing a pirate in the west indies is a blast, and the story is pretty well written. I'm in the minority, but I even liked the parts outside the Animus. Like the previous Assassin's Creeds, there are still some obnoxious tailing missions, and the controls can be a little touchy at times. And while it has improved from the previous titles, the save checkpoint system will occasionally have you tediously repeat a long section before making another attempt at a difficult objective. This really only becomes an issue if you are going for 100% synch, though. But overall, the game is really fun and solid buy.
