I always refer to Astral Weeks as The Mothership because it gave birth to arrangements, soundscapes, and authentic but polished production elements that you hear in more commercially successful albums from VM and other artists. A testament to depth without flash, the technically masterful bass lines and rhythms combined with the stream of consciousness lyrics and honest delivery make this an album that should be in every music lover’s collection.

Van Morrison's Astral Weeks is not my favorite VM album nor do I think it should critically be rated as his best work. I do believe it belongs in his top 3 works. It does take some time to be acclimated to the low key style of this album, and I certainly appreciated more after several listens. Sonically this remasterd vinyl offers a great analog experience, and I highly recommend it.

Great album, and one that getting better with each listen, as it reveals more and more of itself to be discovered. This pressing is great, heralded by many as superior to the original pressing, and good luck finding one of those in good shape anyway.

Love this. Some albums made decades ago are pretty weak on a modern system, but this is a fine, full sounding record. Wonderful songs. Transcendent.
