Bought these to replace my budget Logitech headset. This headset not only made the volume louder but more in your face. They are super comfy! Place you can switch parts out on them which is cool. I am going to buy the mix amp later on to get the surround sound side of things. Totally recommend these!

Pros Amazing sound quality - As someone with tinitus this is extremely crucial for me- definately a 5/5 in sound. Comfortable I got moderately sensitive ears and this headset is perfect. It is very comfortable head band. It is a bit heavier but overall Nothing to bad 4/5 here Microphone. The mic on this headset is probably its biggest drawback. You will have to aplify the sound alot just to hear yourself in teamspeak. It also is bit short and not really flexible. For a headset of this cost it is very disappointing. 2/5 here Shame if it wasnt for this this headset would be a 5/5 quality. Overall. If sound over mic is your biggest concern the headset is absolutely for you. If you are looking for a hundred 50 range headset for a mic look elsewhere as this ones mic is subpar to even a 50-75 dollar headset.

I've always been into gaming and don't mind spending money on something that is good. That said I bought the A40 TR with the mix amp but had to return since the cord is not long enough from the PS4 over to the bed. So decided since i couldn't use the MixAmp might as well just buy the headset itself. I thought the sound quality would be the same but I was so fooled and extremely disappointed. When it comes to sound and mic volume it doesn't compare to the regular PlayStation Gold headseat. You have to turn the volume up TO THE MAX to hear footsteps and it's barely heard even with awareness on. The only category it beat the PS Gold is the comfort. It feels 10x better with that headset on than the PS4 for long game sessions. Don't spend your money on the headset unless you are getting the MixAmp with it. That being said I have ordered me the A50 and hope it doesn't disappoint like the A40 did.

Bought these for my son after the wireless ones he was using stopped working (we bought the warranty). He likes them better than the wireless ones, says there is better sound quality. Would definitely purchase another pair

It's comfortable. Sounds great. It's expensive, but it was a gift. Customizable and compatible with PS4, PS3, PC, Xbox one with (stereo headset adapter) or controller with 3.5 mm Jack.

I've always liked Astro headsets because of their comfort (except for the a20 - that top headband is hard rubber. Wut??). These are just like the A50's and feel and sound like them. This time though these can get louder since they are wired. Bass is good (not amazing but acceptable). Sound-stage is great. You can wear this headset for forever and won't ache your head or cheeks. At first it may seem like they clamp hard, but it's a perfect fit.

Everything works great. Sound quality is perfect, mix amp is easy to use, mic quality is good, and the headset sits comfortably and almost is unnoticeable when being used. Only knock on it is that there are a lot of wires but that's just a small preference of mine. All in all 10/10. Now I can sleep at night thinking that people care about my opinion LUL

Gift to my grandson. He says it is the best set on headphones he has ever used, they create a totally real environment and greatly enhance the games that he plays. He says they are comfortable and was explaining how he can "interchange" parts for more a broad base usage. I truly don't understand what he means by this, but he is happy and most pleased with his new headphones. Who could ask for more!

Let me start off by saying, I only got this headset for Call Of Duty because I wanted to compete in online tournaments. It has worked really good with the in-game settings giving me a great experience while playing. The headset itself is easy to assemble and very comfortable. It is a little heavy but you get used to the weight over time. Overall, this headset is one of the best you can find.

I have heard mixed reviews and was always put off from the price, but after finally deciding to try them for myself I am only mad I did not do it sooner. These are worth the hype. Comfort is amazing. The sound quality is superb and I love that the aux cord is removable and the ear cups swivel. Those features alone set these apart from the rest.

Great product to have when gaming. It's lightweight, above average soundproofing. Quality is awesome. I would recommend this to others.

I first purchase the expensive ASTROS wired headset for the mixamp and when I set it up I found it very complicated for people who want to use it for console live streamers for Twitch.tv. I understand the setup and the signal flow and still had a complicated time trying to get this to work for my setup. My solution was setting it without the mixamp. I returned it and just got this item. It works perfectly for the console and for PC when it comes to live streaming and regular gaming. The cable extension is a great addition. The microphone also sounds great and you can monitor your voice. The headset also has a built-mute button the cable.

Can hear other players clearly and great sound quality. Very satisfied with my purchase.

Astro A40 TR headset are good in every aspect I was looking for...comfort, sound and build quality. Best of all is that their work awesome with mobile devices, consoles and PC. Great sound quality for FPS, music and media. Something I really enjoy as an extra is their customization options.

I've used these with both the standard ear cups, as well as the ones that come with ther mod pack, and both sets are incredibly comfortable, even for my elephant sized ears. Mic works great. Only complaint is the in line mute button is very easily switched, so it's something I have to watch for.
