I got this "baby laptop" to take on travels Europe for email and lite web surfing in lieu of a notebook. I prefer a laptop because I like the keyboard, etc. Its great for a very lightweight (around 2 pounds and super slim) travel gadget and serves its purpose. Just keep in mind it is kind of slow, has limited memory so you cant load a lot of programs on it and use it like a regular laptop. And the big bummer, only 2.0 USB ports so you cant use 3.0 port stuff on it (like speakers). But for the low cost, its awesome and in my opinion, a way better deal than any notebook or ipad.

Bought for my High school daughter who needed it for class. Since they do everything over the internet, she did not need much memory. The size and weight are perfect for her to be able to tote back and forth from school, and hard to beat the price.

I like this laptop very much because of small size and weight so I can take to all the trips rather than my tablet. The Performace is ok so that i can use for all the trips.

It's a great little laptop if you are only needing something for browsing the internet and documents. Bought it for my husband to use since he mostly uses email, sports sites & work stuff and it works great for that. You really need to have something for extra storage handy. We did upgrade it to Windows 10 with no issue except that the backup of Windows 8 had to go on a separate USB flash drive since this computer doesn't have the space.

Does everything I need: word processing, spreadsheets, power points, web browsing, video watching, Skype, etc. Extremely light and incredible battery life.

Under $200 gets you a fully functional Windows machine with a battery life over 10 hours. Great display and keyboard, feather light. Dedicated battery charger could be a problem if lost or damaged. Windows + year's subscription to MS Office + 1TB One Drive + 500GB Asus cloud storage makes for a sheer unbelievable bargain.

I purchased this notebook for portability, efficiency and performance. The Asus X205TA scores 5 stars in all categories. I also upgraded it to Windows 10 and it works great. Battery life is excellent.

I first bought the product because it was on sale for a very low price. I love the product because it does everything I need at a very good speed. It doesn't freeze up when I go too fast. In short, it's great.

I Bought my Asus 11.6" computer after checking out different vendors inline. After I did my research I had narrowed my search down to two. I went by portability, features & quality. I was amazed at the speed for a basic toss around laptop. I liked how I was able to upgrade to Windows 10 the day that I made my purchase. Note: this is NOT a gaming computer! Bottom line I love this & you will too!

I really like this laptop for everyday use (as browsing , email and so) The only thing i do not like that the storage is really very small but its light weight is perfect. It is perfect for its price.

This laptop has just the right combination of features to maximize portability and convenience. It is super light. runs all day on battery, and delivers good performance for email and browsing. The SSD drive delivers rapid startup, maybe 25 seconds from shutdown and virtually instantaneous from sleep.

This laptop replaced my chromebook 13, by being more portable and more powerful. I would highly reccomend it to anyone seeking a laptop with decent enough performance and great battery life at a low low price.

Light weight, battery up to 9 hour, fast start up, but when upgrade to windows 10 partition recovery was deteted, I have an external dvd recorder but can't make a repair disc in win 10.

While I like this laptop, my experience in purchasing it was not good. The "w" key stuck frequently and disallowed me to log into my accounts. Or complete documents in Word or Excel. Unfortunately I discovered this after I spent $200+ with a tech company that came to my house to customize the laptop, link it with printer, add software, etcetera. In fairness, Geek Squad attempted to restore some of those customizations in the replacement laptop, but I will have to have the tech company back to restore their original work. What appeared to be a very good deal for a limited-use laptop need has resulted in me spending more than three times the original cost.

Perfect for college, Battery life A+, Light weight

While I was initially a bit skeptical of the durability and utility of this purchase, I have come around to say that this unit surprised me. It runs efficiently and with little effort. I've had the big desktops at my office that are, of course, the workhorses but this little "laptop" has provided pretty much the same services minus the storage capacity. However, it does have access to a wealth of cloud storage, and can use memory via USB if needed. I've been pleased. I would like to have it with a 64G memory, but for the cost this unit has surpassed my expectations. This is the first Asus I've used, and am quite pleased with it. I'm glad I made the purchase and would do it again in a New York second. For the price it's unbeatable, and has been extremely reliable to this point. I would easily duplicate the purchase again, knowing what I have experienced with this laptop. My next challenge will be to see how it performs when the Windows 10 download comes. I understand it will apply with no big problems, but I tend to "come from Missouri" and will make a final call when I see it happen. Fingers are crossed. ... And then there's always the GeekSquad!

I went into best buy looking for a new laptop for my small computer repair business that I can take with me. And I went into the store and found this laptop and it's part of a gaming company. That I love. And this laptop is just the best in every way. And the battery life on the laptop is just the best. I have been on my laptop all day one day. And from early in the morning to late at night and I was on the laptop and the battery life was at only 69% and that was very good. So to this laptop review yes I would recommend this to anyone that's looking for a small laptop with a great battery. And over all The best.

Nice little laptop and like it came with office Neice will be using for school so the light weight and long battery life is a plus.

I bought this laptop because it was open box (returned), and I couldn't resist the price. It came with Windows 8.1, and I converted to 10. It runs better under 10 than 8.1. It is not easy at all to put Linux on this. While it is a 64-bit Atom, the boot loader is fixed at 32-bit, and the distros don't like to install that way. That's probably why this was a return. The SSD is very small, but I have a permanent 32GB microSD installed for more storage (Windows 10 required this to complete the conversion). Perfect for a very portable laptop, like a Transformer with permanently attached keyboard. But this is not a touchscreen.

Great small laptop that is easy to carry around and has a great battery life of up to 10 hours. I use this for emails and watching movies.
