My laptop broke and I didn't have a large budget to replace it. I picked up this one as a temporary replacement until I can get the brand I prefer. Overall it is a great laptop. It is super light which surpriSed me. The battery is internal, I don't care much for that. It will be good to pass down to my 10 year old when I buy the lappy I really want.

The only problem I have with this is Windows 8. I do wish it came with Windows 7, so much easier. I cannot get the hang of 8 so I probably won't use all the apps on it. I bought this just as a backup in case I have problems with my desk top. My desk top is an Asus and that was one of the reasons I bought this. I am very happy with Asus.

My original intention was to upgrade a still very serviceable Dell WinXP laptop to Win 3.1 and donate it to our church for use in driving our sanctuary projection system. However, when I went to Best Buy to check on the component costs of upgrading that XP laptop I found I could purchase this brand new Win 8.1 laptop with more memory and a faster processors for only about $120.00 more ... an unbelievably good value! I decided to purchase and donate the new laptop instead of upgrading my old laptop, and the church & I are both delighted with the brand new system.

This is a great computer for a college kid on a budget or even for high schoolers. It doesn't have all the extra bells and whistles but it has what is needed. I needed a computer fast for my daughter in college when her expensive high end one crashed. My I. T. Department director found this one for me and approved of it.

i was looking for a good, cheap computer with a fast enough processor and graphics to play WOW. this one does that pretty darn good for the price. does e-mail, and youtube ok as well. i have been using it for a couple of weeks, and i would buy it again. only complaint is windows 8.1, but that isn't the laptop's fault, and the dvd drive eject button is a pain to activate.

This laptop is great especially for the price we paid. We use it basically for surfing the web, Quicken and Microsoft Office.

This is a great laptop for the price. It was purchased for my highschooler. It is perfect from what we see so far. Easy to use.

I purchased this computer as a gift just before Christmas because of the price. Do NOT expect anything more than this computer to get on the internet and type a document. For these uses, it makes a good computer.

I bought this laptop for my daughter who just started college, great screen size and memory, it comes with Internet 8, and it came with free security when purchased. She loves it, and great price for the brand!

I purchased this as a gift for my younger sister as her first laptop for college. So far she's loving it! It's convenient, boosts fast, and has sufficient space. Not ideal for running major programs or gaming but excellent for basic study functions.

Bought this for my son (8th grade). It's a great beginner laptop without tons of distracting bells and whistles. The price is great and the computer is reliable. He basically does some internet surfing and homework. Definitely gets the job done. The shipping wasn't great. It arrived on time, however there was no other packaging around it. It was just the laptop box with a UPS label on it - same packaging as if you bought it at the store.

Santa bought this for my 8 year old for Christmas. He plays minecraft on it, does some limited you tube videos and does his homework on it. He has added no other programs other than the free webroot security that came with it. It is slow, glitchy and is prone to viruses. It is great for what my son needs it for though. He is not allowed to download anything for fear of corrupting the computer. It cost about $200 on sale. I would never use this for my personal computer but it is fine for a child or adult with very limited needs. Very light weight, easy to type on keyboard. Certainly feels like a budget computer but it is great that it is light weight so he can carry it around with no problems.

Acceptable for low demand programs and basic needs. It should be obvious it won't play AAA next gen video games or run predictive models requiring a supercomputer. It plays DVDs, browses the web, plays low demand games, has plenty of storage (over 400GB), etc... and all after being dropped on the ground a few times, luckily. It was affordable, within acceptable weight & size dimensions and what I wanted.

I bought it for my wife to replace her netbook for a larger screen. It came with Windows 8; setting up was a breeze and soooo easy to use. It even came with a DVD drive. It performs very well for her work as an engineer besides web surfing and emails. Another quality product from ASUS at amazingly low price. She loves it.

Great price for this entry level computer. It's a little slow, but overall good for basic emails and school work which is what it was purchased for, so good value for the money!

i am mainly an Facebook, email, pay bills online, and Amazon movies. This laptop was on sale and it functions somewhat fast for an inexpensive laptop. The keyboard seems a little cheap, but ok. Overall i am happy

I bought this laptop for my five year old because it was inexpensive. She uses it to visit her school's website, call her dad on Skype, and run basic programs like paint. It's been working really well for her.

Bought for my 9 yr daughter, seems sufficient, have some issues like the headphones won't stay connected, and playing a DVD or music. Doesn't come with programs to run them. Plays games ok.
