Its very cheap but it works fine. I just needed something to browse the web and run a few applications. I have had no problem using this .. dont let the price fool you .... It is a good working basic laptop

I was happy to purchase this laptop. I would definitely recommend anyone who's looking for a laptop at a decent price. New updates and brand new features are EXCELLENT!

For the money, it is a great computer. Not as fast as I would like but for the price, it is great. It is doing everything I wanted it to do with no problems. It is a great family computer. Best Buy was the best price I found for this computer.

This computer works decently, but is very slow some times. It will work for my purpose and over all was very cheap. I'll keep it.

School use and light everyday use its not bad for the price. Wish the softwares were already uptodate

It has been difficult lately to find an affordable true and fast laptop that includes at least 4 GB of RAM, a large internal hard drive, and a built-in CD/DVD drive. Also, quality, appearance, and durability are a plus. The Asus X540S combines all these qualities with the fast, fun, and user-friendly Windows 10. It looks and feel nice and reliable, it's fast, and handles Internet and Office very efficiently. An excellent product for daily use. Thanks to Asus for maintaining the features needed for daily production, and keeping high quality standards for its products. And thanks to Best Buy for offering affordable price and excellent products. It's a great store!

Let me start out by saying I got this laptop at a good price at $110. When you are doing just one thing on this computer, it does alright, but as you start to add different things: check your bank statement, open calculator, listen to music, check you email, things start to slow down and if your are scanning or updating windows, you better not be in a hurry. Good price drove this buy.

I already had a laptop that I was using for work but it was heavy and it's in my office upstairs. I needed something lightweight that I could carry around with me anywhere in the house or when traveling without hurting my back. When I went into Bestbuy I was first attracted by the rich chocolate color. Then I lifted it to test the weight and was pleasantly surprised. This plus the fact that it had 4GB was enough to make me want to buy it. Finding out it was under $300 was definitely a plus. Lightweight and cost effective makes it a great buy for any age.

This is a decent computer for doing school work on, especially for the price. It also has plenty type of space to store all of my photos and videos.

Good laptop for the price I just think is running slow and I don't have many files on it but for the price I believe is a good purchase.

I went to my local BEST BUY looking for a laptop for school. I seen this Acer box sitting under its model and was marked as an Open Box item at $209. Its black with a gold keyboard. The keys feels cheap. The quality of the screen is average. It has Windows 10, with the app windows in the start menu. The sound quality is great. It has 1T memory, 500GB, 4G, Intel Inside. Energy Star so its great on the battery. So far so good and I purchased this in March 2016 so its been two months. I would say its average. The large memory helps to keep it balanced. I pretty much am using it for business, school, web surfing, and watching my favorite reality shows. It's a steal if you ask me. The original price was around $368...or so. Don't shade on the open box items they're also checked again by the GEEK Sqaud before putting them out for sale. you also also can still include a warranty with the purchase.

I appreciate the Asus 15.6" laptop for several reasons. One advantage is its HD display, which allows me to accurately evaluate the aesthetic value of my work before sending it to the printer. I find it to be more fleet-footed than my desk computer, yet it has sufficient storage capacity so that I can save the innumerable photos I need to utilize and evaluate as part of my work. Overall, I have to say that the Asus 15.6" laptop has all the power-advantages of a bigger computer with all the agility of a chromebook. Its big HD display has proved to be a major bonus!

I would say that for the money it is a good machine. But definitely not fast as far as basic things like scrolling on facebook. With Internet explorer it was a nightmare. But for under 200 bux it has built in wifi and hdmi. It is good at playing videos and I think it looks nice.Again , for the money it couldn't be beat. The chromebooks are cool but I wanted some non cloud storage and a little bigger screen.

I got this to replace my seven years old Acer 17.3 and very satisfied so far. Although couple weeks after purchase it went on sale for $199.99... How about giving me a $50.00 credit/refund...

I bought this laptop as my previous laptop needed to be replaced. I was skeptical due to the reviews. I decided to buy it and it was the worst mistake I ever made. I only had it for 2 days and it broke down on me. The feel was really cheap, plastic feeling. It ran really really painfully slow. The resolution was not too bad but it had to be viewed at a straight angle or you get the black out effect. The second day I tried to turn it on, it kept looping in the start out page. Couldn't get it to the main menu. Took the computer back and got a refund. Would never buy again. I can't persuade anyone to not buy this laptop but do keep in mind that you get what you pay for.

I like this laptop, especially for the price. It can sometimes slow down a bit when the anti-virus is scanning but still works pretty well.

The computer is great for basic stuff and is lightweight for easy transportation. Could be faster, but this is not a high end machine.

This laptop isn't much but it gets the job done. It is pretty slow compared to the laptop I use for school but still foe what this ASUS laptop cost me, it's been a good choice. If anyone knows any way to upgrade I would appreciate the info.

I like the product overall not fond of Windows 10 and updates are a pain but the price was great and it does what I need
