Good machine made excellent by adding SanDisk - Ultra II 480GB Internal SATA Solid State Drive for Laptops and PNY - 8GB DDR3 1.6GHz DDR3 Laptop Memory. Now boots Ubuntu 14.04 LTS like lightning. Fine battery life and recharge speed.

It's a great computer and especially for the price. I haven't had any issues with it. I was able to connect my wireless printer with no problems.

Purchased for a student starting college, with ultimate needs unclear. Easy to set up, useful apps included, minimum crapware. Full-featured, but with reasonable size and weight. Feels sturdy, keyboard sounds a little tinny but keys feel solid . I would be happy to inherit it for my own use!

I am a low-end user and faced challenges with the laptop within one week of my purchase. I purchased the Protection Plan {"the Plan"} and suggest that non-savvy computer users do the same. The Plan is a life-saver. The battery life is low and the CD rom does not work consistently (this was a key factor for my purchase because I enjoy cd and dvd courses). I am going to seek my son's assistance to rectify the problem, but may have to use the Protection Plan service again. That amounts to an average usage of the Plan's services once per month since my purchase. My old HP laptop died on me so a new one was not an option. The serviceability of the new laptop leaves something to be desired but, overall , for the price, it is a good investment. I'd like an "undecided" option for a friend but none exists.

This was easy setup. Connected to internet easily. Very functional for purpose of purchase. Never has used an Asus pc before. Nothing complicated in use. Very satisfied with the pc. This was purchased mainly as a second family pc. No complaints.

Purchased to upgrade from a slower laptop that had Windows 7. this was a great purchase for me. I mostly use my laptop for emails and office work. Quality is good and runs smoothly. Only complaint is that you need to be careful what you have load when setting up. Windows 10 wanted to do more than I wanted, so I made sure I watch and checked and unchecked options at the initial startup. Ordering and delivery was easy and quick. Would recommend this to others, but not sure how it would handle gaming as I don't use mine for that.

Lightweight, thin, fast, huge terabyte memory. Basically, ready to go out of the box. Best deal ever if you can work with Windows 10.

This is my second ASUS laptop. The one it replaced lasted for several years (longer than an ASUS desktop we also had). My previous ASUS laptop began to give me problems after I upgraded to Windows 10 by download. I think the problems were related to that, not the laptop itself.

My old laptop gave up the ghost. I needed a new one, and after shopping around online, I saw this one. I asked my son, who is much more tech-savvy than I, if it would be good for what I need. He said yes (I am a stay at home mom who uses the computer to proofread essays for my kids and keep in touch with far-away family members, among other things). He said it would be very good for what I needed. I went to Best Buy to physically check it out, decided I liked the way it looked and felt, and voila! I am the owner of a new laptop.

I use this as a mobile home office and I couldn't be happier. Powerful enough and has some great setting from Asus that really help. A couple of the keys stick just enough I notice when I am typing but overall a good buy

The Asus laptop I purchased is pretty cool. It is very fast and the picture is crystal clear.

I recently got this computer just for Netflix and writing papers and it works great! My only grievance is that when it needs to update, it becomes very slow and the it will just restart itself. It does give you a warning, but it is inconvenient when you are working on something.

I have enjoyed getting used to this laptop. It is easy to use.

I was a little hesitant about purchasing this name brand laptop, but after doing some research, as well as calling Best Buy to speak with a CSR, I purchased it and I've been happy with it since and would highly recommend Asus laptops to anyone that is thinking about purchasing another one. The Geek Squad is well worth the extra money as well.

Great laptop for the price. Another good feature is how light it is easy when you carry it from home to school and back everyday.
