Dead on arrival

I brought it home and tried it ran for a bit and before you know it, the computer froze and gave me the famous Blue Screen Of Death (BSOD). I figured it may need updates for windows and for the drivers. It all was going well, and then I recieved another BSOD when I was just extracting a zip file. Along with this, I tried minecraft on it, results were great until it decided to crash again. This laptop went back the next day.

Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.We bought our ASUS 550 a year and a half ago. I waited to review it because I wanted to see if I still felt the same way after a period of time. I do! The first month we were unable to log on. When I called Best Buy they told me to take out the battery and try a few other procedures. It didn't work. We were finally referred to ASUS. They told us to erase every thing on it and reload it. We did. It worked for awhile, but now we have to try to start it several times before it turns on. The screen skips to other programs for no apparent reason. It is unreliable and a huge disappointment. I'm not real impressed with Best Buy or the ASUS company either.
