    Not that impressed

This laptop was super fast until I uploaded all my software then it slowed down quite a bit. In addition, I'm not a gamer but a programmer and after less than 2 years of heavy use, it started to have issues. One should not have to replace a laptop in that short of a time frame, especially at that price. I think it would be a decentmachine if used lightly or just for gaming, but for heavy professional use, it's just not substantial enough nor did it have the processing power I needed overall. I ended up replacing it for a desktop of similar specs which definitely runs better and faster.

It's graphics are okay. I do have a minor problem on startup though. The screen shows a static image, then goes black. Hopefully noone else has the same problem with this product.

The cpu is really good but bulky. The only bad thing about this cpu is that I only had it for 2 months and the graphics card died.

    Great Aesthetics...That's about it

I would like to put a disclaimer that this review is regarding this specific item with the following specs: i7-6700hq 12gb ram 1tb hdd gtx 965m for $1449 Appearance: No compromise, looks sleek, sexy cool and worthy of an A-Grade gaming laptop. Touching it feels great! The bottom see-through tinted black panel gives it a fine touch . Top scores here. Laptop Usage: Main focus Keyboard area: Keyboard feels absolutely great!! The Spacing between the trackpad and the WSAD keys is great! No more accidental pressing. The feel of each press is excellent. Macro keys a little bit too close to the record button. Trackpad has great feel to it. The button travels are also really good. Heat: Finally a Laptop that can be called a LAP TOP, the new cooling chamber does its magic keeping the hardware cool, without burning your knees. Fans are barely hearable, especially if you have sound coming from your games. Screen Excellent Matte display with gsync is just great, however!!! Asus cheapen out here on the edges of the screen. There is too much bending, creating a very cheap feel... the Plastic literally presses about 3mm into the screen. Not very great when you need to adjust your screen at all time. Especially if you just put a little pressure above the logo at the bottom of your screen Storage: It is 2015 you could have given us a 7k rpm instead of a 5k rpm hdd... also to state for an almost $1500 laptop, I expected some sort of SSD boot drive, not m.2x4 speeds but at least some SSD. This makes the laptop perform very bad. Loading times of games is ridiculously slow. Graphics: intergrated Graphics have always been meh... but the Skylake Processor has a decent one. However, the 965m is not great, entry level gpu, Stay away from it unless you are planning to play 1080p 60fps+ Dota2 or any Mobas. Triple A titles only on 1080p high or medium. Thoughts: Asus is charging you an Arm an A leg for "fancy" look, to me they did not justify the Appearance to be worth this much. You can get better hardware for $1500 but if Aesthetics are important, Asus G752 is the top tier choice amongst Gaming Laptops. I will most likely be returning this product because it takes about 30s and more to boot. I don't even remember waiting soo long for something to start in 2015. Also that plastic bending into the screen is really bothering me... cant adjust the screen fast without worrying about putting a dent in there.

I purchased a Asus gaming laptop for video editing several years ago and was pleased with it's over all performance so I was expecting this computer to perform the same. When I plugged it in to multiple monitors the graphics card could not handle it. Even after getting more VRAM it still could not handle multiple sources very well.

My Asus laptop crashed after 8 months. Asus has horrible customer service. I will never buy another Asus again. Should have stayed with HP. This review is to help consumers be aware of how awful Asus is. Best Buy is great!

Asus has a great reputation in general, but this laptop has been a nightmare. I'm considering taking a baseball bat to it.. I've never written a bad review before either. The poor design of the edges are thin (where you lay your wrists), so your wrists WILL need cushion, or you will quickly receive sore red lines on your wrists. Games are always crashing on me (even on the lowest settings). Again, Asus makes great products but I feel as though this specific model was rushed and poorly made. I honestly would not recommend this laptop. This is coming from a guy who LOVES Asus (maybe not anymore). On the positive side, it can play most games on high settings if it doesn't crash. The resolution of the screen is beautiful as well. I just think for the money there are safer buys.

I purchased this laptop as a replacement/upgrade from my G75 that I bought 4 years ago. The first thing I noticed was that the wifi adapter wasn't working, no biggie, I'm a computer guy, so I plugged in the CatVI cable and went online. Got the drivers for it, installed them, still no wifi or Bluetooth, restarted, nothing, searched for new hardware, nothing, contacted ASUS. Tech support, they directed me to do a factory reset, on a brand new out of the box laptop... I did, problem didn't go away so I returned the ASUS and got an MSI instead.

the computer seems to work well for anything but running games. It runs my Microsoft Office well enough and does videos and movies but if I try to play one of my games (the reason I bought it) it locks up between 10 and 20 minutes into the game and you have to hard reboot to clear the screen. It is back in the shop again with your people trying to figure out what is wrong with it.

This laptop is a beast! I was searching for a laptop for months and finally came to a conclusion on this one and I don't regret it one bit. I wanted a school laptop to be able to play games on and that is exactly what you get with this. It has amazing sound and is awesome to play games on. Not the most portable laptop in the world but if you want a hardcore gaming machine with incredible cooling capabilities, you're going to have to suck it up. Don't regret the decision one bit!

I use photoshop, premiere and after effects to edit a lot of video and this thing handles all 3 programs like a beast even when all 3 are open at once. I mostly game on the ps4 but decided to pick up gta5 and see how it handles new games and i'm impressed. With high settings I can maintain 45-60 fps. If you want to game with ultra settings spend the extra and get the model with the 970m or 980m graphics card (2gbs gets maxed out easily). I plan on adding a ssd and some more ram in the future just for the extra power but the machine certainly doesn't need it. I'd buy it again.
