...this is a great laptop. I like the back lit keys along with the set keys and game keys highlighted. Great graphics even on the highest settings and has great sound. The only con to this product I have found so far is the weight and size. A little big for portability.

I really didn't want to replace my Toshiba Qosmio gaming computer but it was time and outdated. I wanted another 17 inch screen and the choices were limited. Having owned another ASUS computer for travel thought it would be the right fit for my needs. I'm not a diehard gamer but enjoy great graphics and sound when I play. The sound isn't as great as the Toshiba but I can live with that. Would buy another one without hesitation. Came with all the upgrades so just put in a much faster hard drive.

This computer is fabulous. I chose this over the Alienwire next to it strictly because I much prefer Asus. Sure enough, the cooling technology on this beast is excellent. The cord is nice and long and the resolution does not disappoint. I was able to download Warcraft, League of Legends, and Blade n Soul, in no time at all. So far I have experienced 0 lag. There's a surprisingly good sound system here too that my last Asus lacked. However, when I call this thing a beast I am NOT kidding. It's huge, it's heavy, it's very hard to find a case for. If you think your case will fit, it probably won't. I knew this when I bought it so it still gets all 5 stars because it is exactly what I wanted, but you have been warned.

I mainly bought this computer for use with a home design program and it has been performing well for what I am using it for. It is fast and resolution is great with the graphics card and memory already installed. The size of the screen is awesome for what I am using it for and the audio works great too. I gave it four stars cause I think the battery life isn't as good as other laptops I have used.

I was looking for a high end gaming laptop, there were only a few selections in the 17 inch screen section. The Asus laptop family is one that I have purchased before, and was pleased with. This laptop continues to pass my expectations in both speed and graphics. I would definitely recommend Asus to anyone who is looking for a high end gaming laptop.

I bought this for my son and he loves it...he can play everything he's downloaded so far from steam at max graphics and he also plays Skyrim and Oblivion at max graphics with no lag. He's also download Shaders(?) for Minecraft and they all work great. I've played Elder Scrolls online with it and had no issues at all with lag (screen never stops to load while running around). To give an example from the game...with maxed everything (shadows, water, distance, etc...) and my steeds speed maxed at 60%, I can run through Glenumbra at full speed and npc's ahead of me load before I get there. I personally play on a laptop with 4k ultra graphics and had no idea before this new laptop that the movement could be so fluid and smooth (found out the hard way that just cause it's a 4k card doesn't mean it's meant for gaming). In ESO. the fps tend to be around 30 and I've maxed out in a dungeon while standing still at 100.

Bought this about a month ago, because I needed a new gaming laptop. I was not let down. It looks awesome, and a nice backlit keyboard. I play online games, graphic intense games, like Wircher 3 and others, and the quality is amazing. No graphics lag, stutters or anything like that. My only complaint, and it's not anything major, is because the case is larger than a normal 17 inch laptop, it won't fit in my $80 17 inch laptop backpack. Highly recommend this to any serious gamer.

Purchased this laptop to replace an aging Vista laptop. So far this thing has worked perfectly. I have not come across a game that this system cannot handle. I've tried taxing the system by putting all graphic Settings to maximum, yet this thing powers through with no problems or shuddering. I have not had any problems running my 3d modeling software, this system is powerful enough to handle some very complex renderings. Needless to Say it Runs the Microsoft Office Suite flawlessly as well. The build quality of the system is awesome, not soft plastic like some of the other offerings in the store. Some of the metal accents feel a bit sharp, but not enough to cause a scratch. The fans are super quiet, frankly if it wasn't for the accent lights you wouldn't know the system was running. If I were to purchase again I would choose the 16gb ram option, because two of the ram slots are not upgradeable, unfortunately Asus put the 4gb stick in non serviceable slots so I will not be able to max out the ram. Also if you want to upgrade to ssd you will need to replace the main hdd. The expansion hdd slots use m8 form factor which are rather expensive. Overall this is a great system for those who like to work and play equally as hard.

I'm so glad I broke down and bought this computer! It runs games beautifully along with anything else you may need to do with it. At first I had some technical difficulty where it shut the mouse pad down along with any mouse I plugged in. Geek squad fixed it for me promptly and I have not had an issue since.

I researched for a laptop with the right specs and for the right price for some time and I found this one. I had to buy it once Nvidia came out with their new graphics cards and the price dropped to $999. A special BestBuy online offer lowered it even more. This laptop runs cool and quiet. Programs that would heat up my old laptop, to a point that I couldn't use it until it cooled off, barely affect this machine. When the fans do run, you can barely hear them. It's not listed properly in the specs but it does have a i7-6700hq processor. So far this laptop has exceeded my expectations. I would definitely recommend this laptop to my friends.

Pros: *Quick boot up times *Runs insanely cool (temp) even with max settings *Surprisingly quiet for a gaming laptop *Large screen size a plus *Little lighter than most 17 inch laptops from weight *Great sound when compared against other laptops of its caliber (it has boost - what a concept!) *Brushed metal exterior is easy to clean and doesn't show light wear on the machine, keeping it looking sleek. Cons: *The power supply cord is in a weird spot - due to angling of the cord, the fans often hit it causing the brick to run a little warm due to my placement/setup. *No backlight on the keyboard (yes, really. Even though it's a gaming laptop - likely the reason though that the machine runs cooler) *Sharp corners around the wrist area, can dig into skin during extended play *Matte lower keyboard surface attracts fingerprints like no ones business Overall impression? Amazing bang for your buck. Worth every penny despite the cons.

I bought this laptop because of an incredible deal from the clearance/open box area. The price was about half the regular price. It's a very good gaming laptop, replacing an aging G75VX. All the specs are better, and it works very well! The Nvidia 965M plays games at the highest setting at better than 40fps at 1920x1080. The 12GB memory is plenty to start, and can be expanded with 32GB more. The 1TB drive is slow, but there are TWO m.2 NVMe slots (be careful what you buy for the m.2 slots) for RAID0 SSD drives, so upgrading is easy (I haven't done this yet...waiting for Samsung 960EVO).

I'm not a hard core gamer, but do occasionally play some games. Bought fallout 4 with this system and play it max settings no problem. Only negative is 5400 rpm DVD drive...don't understand why they wouldn't have upgraded that. Other than that, solid system out of the box

This 17" laptop has been very powerful, eating through all of my games with ease. The battery life has been fairly accurate, even when used heavily. I was surprised to see that it requires so much power, but I haven't looked at many gaming laptops before. On the down side, it has been more glitchy than I would like at the beginning of it's life. The display has had some issues not coming on (fixed by shutting the screen and reopening) and the computer has crashed. Hard. As in black screen and loud screaming noises that only stop when the power button is held down for more than 5 seconds. I get no warning when it happens, but it's only happened about 3 times in the last few weeks. Other than that, I enjoy the keyboard now that I've gotten used to it. The red tint was difficult to see at first, but I've adjusted. I like the different connectors and how it will charge my phone with that one USB port, even when the laptop is not in use. It was more expensive than I wanted, but it was on sale and I think it is a good value for the price. I hope this will be a good laptop for years to come.

This is a good and powerful notebook. Everything on it is so awesome except for two thing. One the keys let light bleed from underneath them and two the bottom of the screen let's light bleed out making the screen look terrible on some games (Gears of war 4). I have geek squad for 2 years I've purchased with it and will see if they can do something about the screen. Other then that it's a good gaming notebook. Plays W.O.W with it all turned to max and looks good......

I needed to purchase a new notebook to replace my aging ASUS G51J. I decided to go with an ASUS G752 after an exhaustive review of several gaming notebooks on the market. The cooling system was a good selling point, I wanted something that was quite but capable of keeping the CPU and GPU cool, especially under long term gaming & working conditions (3d modeling, texture mapping, and rendering). I've been more than pleased with my purchase. I couldn't afford the higher end model with the Nvidia 980, but the 965 works well enough. The G752 still offers G-sync capabilities with is also a selling point. pros: powerful hardware, quite & cool (the keyboard never gets hot!), beautiful monitor, easily upgraded with one 2.5" sata III, dual M.2 SSD PCIE slots, 2 free slots for ram (4 total). cons: stock hard drive is slow (recommend replacing it with an SSD), the stock image of windows is also slow and lags badly (recommend reloading windows), bulky, speakers hiss loudly when on. Overall an excellent purchase. It's been put though the paces and hasn't faltered yet.
