I bought this laptop to get into pc gaming, and it has been a great starting point. It is powerful enough to run even the most graphically demanding games on high settings without slowing down. I would highly recommend this laptop to anyone looking for a good portable gaming experience.

I've had this laptop for about a month, and I'm already impressed. The speed at which it performs is remarkable. For the price, you can't go wrong. With an i7 processor, 12 gb of RAM, and Nvidia Geforce Gtx 1060 all with a 17" display? Good luck trying to find all of that in one machine at this price. I'm very happy with my purchase.

I really liked the laptop. The SSD is amazing and a ton of memory. I would recommend this laptop for gaming and adobe programs. The only flaw I think it has is that it heats up.

A great computer. Does everything I need it to and have run into no issues with playing games. One thing is that it seems to run a bit warm. I don't know if this is standard for gaming laptops but at first I was worried but so far there hasn't been any complications. Secondly, I would say, and maybe it's because I'm not much of a computer guy, is divide up what games you want on your C: and D:. Everything will be installed on your C:/SSD unless you change it and it will fill up quickly. Then you'll have to go through the process of uninstalling and reinstalling. Save yourself some time in the future.

Man, this thing ROCKS. Hard to believe they can pack all this power in a laptop. The video card is AWESOME, graphics are amazing. Viewing on the 17.3" screen is beautiful and even better when I connect up to my 65" 4k tv. The only change I made is I took out the 1tb old school drive and replaced it with an SSD. That way i had two SSD drives, one for OS and one for games. 12gb memory should suffice for now, while i normally max out everything for no reason at all I'm going to leave this alone for now. Laptop runs amazing, love the backlit keyboard. Well done ASUS.... well done.

Bought this to replace another ASUS laptop for gaming. Cannot get over how well their laptops disperse heat. This one is slimmer than my previous and disperses heat well enough, but not quite as much as the ones with the jet engine looking exhausts. Speed-wise is great, turns on and is ready in a flash. Space/storage wise is good, have to manage the smaller drive, but plenty of normal hard drive space available. It does what I bought it to do, which is play games and at a price of 1300 was very good specs in comparison to other laptops available.

Excitement was the word to describe my purchase of this futuristic looking gaming laptop known as the Asus ROG. Typically I wouldn't ever consider buying a laptop new and full price, but in this case Santa felt extra generous to my son. It's a $1200 drop, while I based on decision solely on my trust of Best Buy and my trust for Asus products. Although it took me 2 returns, due to malfunctioning laptops, the 3rd laptop I exchanged ultimately delivered. In the best value sense, was it worth it? To see my son's face upon getting it, YES! Would i buy this for myself, NO! I prefer to buy used as the retail cost always seems to me inflated. After 2 months of use, the laptap looks beautiful with the backlit keyboard and runs all 3D games on high frame rates extremely well. No complaints from my son. He deserves it as he's an excellent and responsible kid and a great student. I paired the ROG laptop thorugh HDMI with an Asus 27 inch monitor which I purchased through Craigslist, and the Bose pc speakers. He's got the ultimate rig.

I love this thing, I am very happy that I picked it over the others. I'm very happy with the performance it gives. Runs world of Warcraft on ultra with out any hick ups. Pros: everything! Light and reliable. Con: only real con I could have is that while playing Games the batter will drain very fast. Upsetting with it being built to be a gaming laptop but nothing to shy away from its other amazing features.

This can easily play any current games with no problem(currently playing Ghost Recon Wildlands, Battlefield 1, GTA V). The keys are very responsive and the screen is really great from all viewing angles. Being that it is portable just makes it much better. This Laptop will feel hot (up to 90c) while playing a graphics demanding game but it's very normal with nothing to worry about. I've owned this now for a month and haven't found anything negative about it.

No regrets; None! This is a great laptop for audio/video production. Runs fast and smooth, and solid-state drive adds to stability.

This laptop is an amazing way to experience high performance gaming. The only problem is overheating when it's on my lap which is understandable and only while gaming. I bought a third party cooler pad and have had no problems since.

This laptop is a compact but large high performance gaming laptop that really does amazing. The only thing I have problems with is it getting too hot and needing some extra cooling help.

If you want to play all the new and upcoming games and you want to do it on a laptop this is the laptop for you. I spent hours of researching what the most cost effective laptop I could buy and still play all the new games on high settings, this is the best option I found. Runs demanding games like Mass Effect Andromeda smoothly.

Just the name itself is cool. I have not played much on it, but the graphics are tight. Like its younger brother the 12 GB or RAM is great, not to mention the 128 GB of SSD makes this machine scream! This was a 1450$ machine, but when I saw it as an open box for 900$, It was a STEAL!

So far, this a great computer. I primarily use this computer for streaming movies and moderate video play game play. The computer boots instantly, the integrated touch pad works well, and the video quality is great. To also agree with a review I read prior to purchasing this laptop is that the keyboard does seem to get a bit warm even when surfing the internet. The laptop does also have a cheaper / delicate plastic feel to it. Since I'm not planning on taking this new laptop anywhere, that shouldn't be huge concern for me. The reason I bought this laptop was to upgrade from my G75VW (that has served me well for the past several years and is still working but finally has a red line in the screen). That laptop had a more sold feel to it. Overall, I'm really happy with this laptop and was a fair sale price when I bought it. Plus, if you have a Best Buy card and go with the 5% back, the reward certificate is nice too.

This laptop exceeds my expectations. Having a full size video card instead of a mobile version is a huge plus. Be ware the temperature though. If you're running a graphicly intense game, she is going to get hot. You may want to look into a cooler pad.

This is a great product. I bought is during black friday and it is a good deal in my price range.

The black and orange design look great. The laptop feels solid. Performance is great. Everything seems solid after 3 weeks of use. Only two cons: Use a lap desk or table because it gets hot during gaming and battery life is shorter than preferred.

Games run smoothly on it at the default 1080p resolution, whether they be Overwatch, Call of Duty: BO3, or a heavily modded Skyrim. The bottom does get pretty hot under load, though, so may want to avoid having it directly on your lap.
