Upgrading my daughters gaming laptop and this has all the horse power she needs to play the most demanding on line games. So far, she loves it.

I was a bit hesitant to purchase a gaming laptop, we all know desktops are the way to go... However, this laptop is everything I have ever wanted or needed. The screen and graphics are amazing. The processing speed is fabulous, and the fact that it can handle running World of Warcraft, facebook, and whatever else my heart pleases all at once, makes me extremely happy. The design is gorgeous, which honestly is what caught my eye at first. My boyfriend got the new Alienware laptop for Christmas, and I got this one. Overall they are very comparable.

Powerful hardware and lightweight. Good for a college student gamer. Knocked a star off for the heat and throttling, which you will need to undervolt the CPU and video card to resolve.

I bought this for a son that was starting college. He is delighted with the sturdiness of the laptop as well as its ability to handle his CAD programs. This is a perfect fit for Architectural students. Thank you.

I play a lot of games that are resource hungry and this RoG laptop handles all of them perfectly. Able to keep the graphics set on high and ultra with a lag impact thats very acceptable and the unit has yet to get hot to the touch. The only thing I do not care for is the touch pad mouse. It does not feature independent left/right mouse buttons. It takes a little getting used to not accidentally clicking down on the entire mouse pad. All in all though this is a GREAT LAPTOP!

I spent a while trying to find a decent laptop in this price range that would handle my normal day to day graphics programs and would be able to handle some basic gaming as well. I am glad I found this ASUS laptop! I have been using it now for a few weeks and it has more than exceeded my expectations. It handles the games I play with ease and has the speed to keep up with the multi tasking that I do on a day to day basis for work. Best buy you can get or the price!

Fast. Starts up in 3 seconds if even. Easily runs new games. And if you have room for the 17" screen it's great.

From the screen to the speed to the graphics performance I love the laptop. Especially for the money.

I have been searching for a laptop that would function with the games that I play and for the 3d autocad programs that I use for work. The Asus laptop does not let me down. It has plenty of power to do what ever I want to do and then some. It is perfect for casual to hard core gamers or for 3d rendering and drawing overlays. I would highly recommend it to anyone. It is a great combination of power and performance at a reasonable price point.

I like this computer. I haven't been able to play games yet, but so far I like the performance. The 156 SSD is great and it boots up immediately. I upgraded to the 17.3" screen and love it. At this point my only issue is the reading of my external hard drive. It takes a little bit to recognize it and sometimes it doesn't recognize it and I have to disconnect and reconnect.

Asus is almost always sells good products and this one is no different. This isn't a high-end system, but has the features I need without spending 2k pkus.

OK first as others have said, the touchpad IS a bit wonky ...takes getting used to the pinch and spread zoom and reduce part, but it's nice once you do! Other than that this is a dream laptop ...thin, light enough to travel with easily, cool-running, and with a backlit keyboard that may be the best I have ever typed on! Beautiful screen and it feels and looks well made.

Great gaming laptop for the price, the SSD was the big seller for me.

This laptop has a FANTASTIC mix of mobility and performance. I play a lot of online video games (Starcraft 2, Overwatch, LoL, WoW, Rust) and i am very satisfied with the way it performs. It functions well with all of my attachments. (Siberia Gaming Headset, Gaming Mouse) I run a SOLID 60 FPS, (I have it capped at 60,) when playing RUST on graphics settings 5/6.

Great mobile gaming machine. Fast, quiet, and powerful!

So far so good. I have had it for a couple of weeks and have had zero issues with it. As a gaming laptop it performs very well. I will admit I'm playing fallout New Vegas on it and seven days to die so the games are not very graphics intensive. I will be trying battlefield 1 and the Witcher later. The 17" monitor is awesome too.

Overall this laptop is very good. My only concern is the cooling system. The laptop gets hot for a couple of hours of use.so if you are a gamer I recommend to get a cooling pad.
