We researched high performing gaming computers for the video card specs. We don't use it for gaming but more graphic intensive apps for photo editing and graphics. It performs very well for these programs. There was a small issue where you couldn't right-click to rename or open a file, but a quick factory reset fixed the issue. It wasn't a problem because we didn't have much loaded onto the device, however it could have been if we had been using it very long. It took a little bit to get System Restore initiated but it is working correctly now. I don't care for the gaming apps and specs and would like to turn them off, but I did buy a gaming laptop. A comparable laptop for the advanced home user would be nice to see in stock, but they are offered online. I just prefer to walk out of the store with an investment this large. Overall a very good product and would definitely buy an upgrade when this device no longer fills our needs.

Great computer, performance was perfect! Running 3D design program that pushes capabilities and it's been flawless. If there's anything I could say it would be more color options and possibly better battery life.

Processing power seems good and sturdy. Battery life could be longer. I've noticed some slight lagging when gaming. I would only recommend this laptop if you could get it for sale or as open box.

Got this for my son who is in to gaming so much ... only reason I did not give it a 5 is because it dis not arrive on said delivery date but had to wait another week for it. Overall great buy for the price! Son has not stopped playing on it.

Fast, user friendly, and lighting fast! I was looking at a few different models before I purchased this one. The simple design and durable construction, as well as all the options sold me on this one. And it hasn't disappointed after a month of use so far.

This laptop is a beast. Fast, user friendly, and a sleek design. The graphics are outstanding for gaming, pictures, or streaming video. My favorites feature by far though, is that you can upgrade the RAM and SSD. Great price for what you get.

Excellent keyboard, graphics card and screen. Games play well at high settings, and heavy programs such as AutoCad and 3ds Max run smoothly. Only four stars because it can be very slow to start up sometimes.

So far I like it. It boots up really fast but not sure about the heat. On normal use it runs around 40-50 c and on full on gaming, it goes around 70-80 c. I don't know if it's normal or bad. Otherwise, it's an excellent laptop.

I use this computer a lot and it excels at everything but finding a backpack to fit it in was a little challenging. This laptop is thin and quiet and can run any game out now over 60FPS.

I bought the similar ASUS from Best Buy 5 years ago. This one is much lighter, the SSD makes boot up and loading much faster and the speakers are richer. The old ASUS was a solid gaming laptop, but this one is much better.

We bought this laptop for our 14 yr old son. A store associate helped us pick out which laptop to buy. Our son loves it! His friends all love it. His gaming experience has improved a great deal. We would buy another one.

This laptop died in less than 2 months! I really wanted to love this laptop. It has all of the specs I was looking for (i7, over 8GB Ram, M.2 hard drive, 1060 6GB Video Card), and even a few bonuses (g-sync, 75Hz screen, Thunderbolt 3 - almost). However, after buying this laptop, I noticed that it ran HOT (over 82c CPU and over 86c GPU, even on games like skyrim). I should have taken this as a warning that the Laptop would have issues, but I figured that ASUS wouldn't bring something to market that would fail for heat. Turns out that this is a known issue with this model. Read about it here: https://rog.asus.com/forum/archive/index.php/t-89061.html Aside from the heat, I later found out that the Thunderbolt 3 ports isn't actually true TB3 specs, it's acually the "low power" version and only can run up half of full TB3 speed. I maybe put 4 hours of gaming on it total during the less than 2 months I owned it and babies this thing. I'm not even a gamer, but want'ed a work/personal laptop that I could occasionally game on. I am currently trying to work with Bestbuy to exchange this for a different brand Laptop, since this is my first ASUS, and after all of this, it's most likely going to be my last.

Good laptop, performs well, and has good graphics response. It came well packaged for safe shipping. The wireless works great(it kinda hogs the router when downloading anything, hehe!) I haven't really done much with it, except download my games to it. I bought for when my grandkids are here, and I'm sure they will put it thru it's paces. Games I play can be done on most laptops, but this one does them better, alot!! Fast bootup times, lots of room for the games on the hard drive. A faster hard drive would be nicer, tho. Bought on sale for $1099. With the current configuration I don't think it's worth a whole lot more than that. I'm happy with my purchase.

Laptop is great for gaming plenty of power, the constuction overall is kinda flimsy not very durable for transpoting everywhere, i could see it scratching and falling apart very easy

I LOVE everything about this laptop. Great for work. Even better in gaming! Full HD display, 867 Mbps wireless, 6th gen Core i7 and (the best part) a full GTX 1060 6 GB graphics card. It's not a stripped down mobile graphics. It runs as well as my 1060 desktop cards. No optical drive keeps a slim, lightweight chassis. I do not miss the optical drive either. Max RAM of 32GB, dual drives and can handle anything. The only con is a 3+ hour battery. It doesn't matter much to me. I use this at home anyway. If you will be gaming, you will want to use the ac adapter to get optimal power to the graphics. Battery power will reduce the performance on any gaming laptop. Definitely worth the purchase. I have NO regrets in buying this.

This is a light weight unit that packs a punch. Good battery life and easy to use. Handles all the games I play both online and off.
