I am a business professional and I was looking for a large, fast computer that would be able to process all the files I need at a quality rate. I wanted a large screen for my bad eyes, and this computer is perfect. However, it is slow sometimes and does not process information as fast as I would like it.

I bought this laptop for my wife because she wanted the convenience of a laptop but with a bigger screen. She uses this laptop daily and hasn't had one problem. I own an ASUS tablet for over a year and never had a problem with that either. This is one reason why I bought this ASUS for my wife.

I thought this was a good brand and had the memory I was looking for in a computer. The boot seems to take a little longer than I think it should, but it works and I'm happy with it. The Geek Squad helped me load Windows 10 because it didn't go as smoothly as it should have. Everything is fine now.

This is a great laptop for the price. No real cons other then mouse sticks occasionally. Fixed easily by purchasing a wireless mouse.

We are very happy with quality and operation of the laptop

I purchased this computer due to 3 factors: 1) It was open box 2) Best Buy was running a sale on 15% off open box (select ones) 3) It is an ASUS The computer is great. A 17" screen is what I was aiming for and the specs are mediocre. (The pentium processor is a little out of date). The computer runs and handles very well but, has a drawback due to battery life. (Which, in some cases, is fine if you are desk ridden). Further, I would highly advise switching to a Solid State Drive and using the included one as a Back-up. Not only do you get a new backup, the computer becomes quicker. I haven't played any games on it as it is primarily a laptop geared towards semi-productivity but, it may handle games well ... or as well as an Integrated Graphics Processor can. Like I said, the RAM is more than sufficient and an upgrade in the hard drive department would be very beneficial. Overall, the system is great and a good value (if you can find it under $599).

This computer has met all of my needs and expectations.

I purchased this to replace my 8 year old Gateway FX and 8 year old Dell laptop. I checked out a lot of laptops before buying this and read a lot of reviews, both here and elsewhere. Within a month of buying this it started slowing down - click on a program and it would just sit there and think about it. Sometimes will take thirty seconds or more for a program to start opening, and as much as another minute to be functional. Startup takes forever - at least two minutes to the login screen, and then another 3-5 minutes for it to be ready to run anything. Outlook 2007 can take a full minute to be ready to download. Quicken 2014 can take a minute or more just to be ready to do anything. EVERYTHING runs slowly. Poor connectivity with wifi. Websites load extremely slow, and it often refuses to stream video. I have been trying to watch the current National Bowling Tournament in Reno, but it won't stream any of the video - runs about 5 seconds and then freezes. I've had it in to Geek Squad and Staples Tech. Neither seems to be able to get this thing to work properly. Currently refuses to recognize the optical drive. ASUS support is non-existent, and their web site doesn't have any drivers for this computer. And trying to find the correct model number is impossible - it's on a tag on the bottom, with printing 1/32nd of an inch high. Totally unreadable even with a magnifying glass. This is the fourth time I've had to take it in for repairs in less than six months. It's actually gotten worse since I upgraded to Windows 10. Save your money. Based on reviews here and elsewhere, there isn't a computer out there that's worth a darned.
