Customers consistently note the 2-in-1 laptop's touch screen as a great feature. They also appreciate its portability, storage capacity, and lightweight design. However, some customers have expressed concerns about the laptop being a fingerprint magnet and the presence of Windows 10 S mode.

I like the tablet mode, but it does lock the screen in the wrong position at times and has to be shutdown to correct.

So when I went to buy this computer there were no online reviews. That did make me hesitant in buying it, but it was a newer computer so I tried not to let that get to me. There was an HP that I loved and it was between the two of them. However, my fiance was actually looking for a new laptop as well and he went with the HP a week before. I previously had a 14" laptop, so I wasn't in love with the idea of moving up to the 15.6" screen which pushed me more towards this Asus. Plus, I have heard a lot of good things about Asus recently and the store associate kept telling me how they were better built. I was slightly surprised to get on here after owning it for 2 weeks and seeing the horrible reviews. Maybe I just got lucky, but I haven't had any issues with this computer. There is a sound coming from around the fan, but I don't even notice it unless I am in a silent room. I still go back and forth between liking the HP or this one better, but the size of this laptop feels better to me. Overall, I am very happy with my purchase. I would rate it a 5, but the graphics are better on my fiance's computer. That was to be expected with the larger screen and a better graphics car though.
Oh, one issue (if you want to call it that) is that this computer shows fingerprints rather easily. Even if your hands aren't greasy. It does come with a cloth that gets them off pretty easily, but that's just one of the joys of owning a black laptop I suppose.

Asus build quality is excellent but the product hardware quality is not so good. It offers HD display but the display doesn't look HD nor it offers a good clarity. Apart from screen everything about the laptop is good.

Purchased for my daughter. Stopped working within two weeks. Computer would not work off the battery after the first two weeks. Fortunately had purchased a geek squad plan and was told this is a known issue for this computer. Unbelievable. geek squad manager ultimately replaced the computer with one that had previously been returned. We'll see how this one works.

This thing flies with the intel i5 skylake chip. However I did replace the harddrive with an ssd and boy it takes about 4 seconds to boot and it is way faster than ever. I used the old hard drive as storage for my desktop. These reviews that are negative are mostly about driver issues. Easily fixable with a quick google search. Oh, and the keyboard has great travel and feels very good. not mushy like most laptop keyboards, but feels very satisfying to use. The only bad thing about this laptop is the lack of publicity. I mean an i5-skylake, 8 gb of ram, Touchscreen and tablet mode, this thing is amazing. The only thing it won't do is play games very well. But it works great for development work and and i even run a SQL server and maintain a database while develping on this and it never has a hiccup. Great battery life as well. Would 100% recommend this to a friend or family member,

I had the 2 in 1 for about 3 months when I noticed that the bottom left portion of the LCD cover began to move slightly when I would open up the laptop. Shortly thereafter it broke and now my touchscreen doesn't work anymore

ASUS 2in1 13.3" Laptop - GREAT Value

I am a networking professional....the most non-secret thing about laptops is that if a laptop is large, heavy, bulky.....you won't carry it with you everywhere. You become a workman who does not carry his essential tools.
I have been vacillating between a conventional small laptop and a Surface 3 or 4. I do several things that require huge number-crunching ability. 4 GB of ram is not enough, and SSDs are fast, but typically add greatly to the price.
The 1 TB HD is great, Asus has added some Win10 enhancements, and even the mousepad is multitouch. The I5 6th Gen is very fast, and as a dual-core, hyperthreaded processor, with lots of cache, it is very quick. The 802.11ac is a must-have, and with my Buffalo 1800H AC router, I'm seeing an 866 Mbps connect speed right now.
2 Downsides, my only reservations:
There is NO Wired Ethernet Jack, the specs say 10/100/1000. I found a USB 3.0 Ethernet dongle that has 3 added USB 3.0 ports PLUS 10/100/1000 Cat5 for approx. $32. You really need this for doing a protocol capture.
The other downside is Windows 10 HOME. It is Build 10240. If you want to do some of the other system management things, like join a Domain, use BitLocker, you may want to consider upgrading to Win10Pro.
On balance, ASUS made a REAL gem in this PC. As a regular Tablet and Smartphone user, using Windows in a tablet is a little different, but mainly, it is THIN, Light, seems sturdy, and I'm glad I got it.

Great computer and a good value. It can play WoW and SWTOR at the same time. It can also on screen record videos of you gaming with a basic windows command (Win+Alt+R). It holds up well I did an unboxing of it on YouTube and its a great computer. I'm using it as my portable computer and its for my almost 10 year old son as well to game and do his school reports on. I usually pass on non-dedicated graphics but this was a good buy.

This was my first experience with ASUS and I am never buying this laptop again. The specs on this laptop sounded good but when i brought it home, first of all, there was this crackling sound that the fan or the hard drive was making. This was prominent and irritating. So i returned it and got another one. Guess what ? the next one had the same problem. A little less but it was still there. Then when i tried using it in the tablet mode, the auto rotate feature stopped working. I talked to the customer care and they asked me to reset the drivers which I did. Still didn't work. They asked me to reset the chip set drivers, it still didn't work. Then they asked me to send it for servicing. Its was not even 24 hours and they asked me to send it for servicing. I immediately returned it to best buy. What a piece of trash seriously.

I easily upgraded the laptop to 250GB SSD and 12 GB RAM. I like fact that in spite of small size the laptop has accessible memory and hard disk and can be easy upgraded. Most 2 in 1 laptops have limited upgrade possibility . The laptop has 4 GB RAM on board and one 4 GB memory slot that can be replaced to 8 GB (12 GB maximum). So after upgrade you can have 12 GB very power machine for good price. I prefer to have Full HD screen but for this many it provide very good video quality.
Also I like aluminum finish better then plastic. I think it is good laptop.

I like this computer. The memory space is amazing. It does not have a solid state drive but the trade off is the incredible amount of memory and it is heavier than a SSD computer.
It is very fast and nice looking. Finger prints are a problem but a lap top skin solves that.

I got this laptop back in 2016/2017 (can't remember when exactly), and unfortunately had to replace it in 2019. The reason for that? The screen started to break and the keys began to pop out. Unfortunately, the earlier 2 in 1 designs used plastic screws to keep the laptop screen in place. As you opened and closed the lid or used it as a 2-in-1, it wore down on the screws and caused the screen to start falling apart. HOWEVER, the screen still works. By some miracle, the touch screen and display are perfectly fine.
As a joke I decided to see if it could run Genshin Impact (now in 2021). It ran it- flawlessly. On custom low/medium settings, I got a solid 60 FPS and no overheating. This game was also able to handle other low/medium intensity games. This thing is a beast. I am sad that it broke, but the HDD and slower processor speed make it outdated anyways. If ASUS were to release a version of this with an updated i5/i7, SSD, and better hinges, there would be no stopping this little guy.
