I love this laptop. This is a powerhouse. The only issue I faced In the beginning is that it gets little warm because of Windows update installations and all the software installations. Most of the time the fan will be in quite mode and during some heavy processing it kicks in though the noise is far less. It comes with a USB c dongle and a pen.
I would recommend this laptop if you are looking for affordable Ultrabook

I cant really put into words the great job that ASUS has done with this device. Neglect the nay sayers; This Device will do anything you need it to do and more. Fast, fast and yes did I mention FAST!!! Shes quiet, long-lasting battery 8 hours of heavy usage in one Single charge. The processing power speed and sharpness are incredible so strap on for tons of multitasking and even gaming cause this baby with its 8th generation Intel Processor can pull it off. Cheers, And Enjoy!

Old laptop (about 6 years) bit the dust. Could not handle new software. Looked for Intel i7. Have used Azus mother boards and other hardware many times. Never a problem. So I decided to go with this Brand and Model. I wanted light weight for hiking and photography. It is doing everything I need.

I really like this computer. It gets good battery life when in "power saving mode" but then it can perform when using photoshop, autodesk, or playing overwatch. My biggest issue is it can run fairly hot when under a large load, and one of my keys is only half back-lit and I don't know if that is normal, and ASUS nor Bestbuy has told me. I would recommend to a friend, with the warranty. The rest of my issues are personal preferences that you cannot change such as the keyboard is shallow, weird fingerprint sensor location, and the right side USB C cannot charge the computer. Overall I really like this computer and would defiantly purchase it again.

Ok by my name you might surmise I'm very particular when it comes to my computers.
Let me say that my lineup over past 15 months has been:
Samsung newest model
HP Spectre All Models
Surface Book
Surface Pro
Surface 4
MacBook Air
MacBook Pro
Dell XPS
Lenovo 710
Lenovo 720
Yoga 910
Ok I have my issues.
That said this machine takes the best of all of these and blends into one incredible machine for less than $1150.
Speed i7 8th generation ✔
512 SSD ✔
16 gb RAM ✔
USB C fast charge ✔
Gorgeous HD touch display ✔
Weight of 12" iPad Pro ✔ 2.4 lbs! Makes MacBook Air seem like a boat anchor!✔
Stylus Free ✔
Battery life over 9 hours ( probably could get more if I throttle down.)✔
Did I tell you about the price?✔✔✔✔
As a person that has tried many, not all, but many. For the dollar you will be hard pressed to do better.
Enjoy.

We just picked this Asus laptop up last night. After setting it up and playing with it most of the night, we are EXTREMELY happy with its performance. This thing is super fast and incredibly lightweight...only 2.4lbs!
We compared this to Dell XPS 13 & HP Spectre X360. All 3 have nearly identical specs....8th gen i7, 16gb ram, 512 ssd.....the two main differences are the Asus is dual core and regular ssd....not PCIe ssd.
That said, even though the Dell got great reviews we had a horrible experience with it and Dell support so it went back.
HP was awesome...no complaints except it runs very hot. However, if you use Chrome browser instead of Internet Explorer the heat is not an issue for some reason.
Our deciding factor between the HP and ASUS was the size & weight since the performance was about identical in both.
You cant go wrong with either the Spectre x360 OR this ASUS......just avoid the Dell like the plague!!!!

I had done my research on this Asus Q325UA laptop by comparing it with others through Consumer Reports. Overall, I felt that 512 solid state with the INtel Core i& processor in a lightweight package was perfect for my needs. The two USB-C ports were not a deterrent to me, as the laptop comes with an extension device with three ports, one of which is a USB port (which I use for a mouse).
What I did not learn prior to purchase is just how hot the laptop runs and the frequent fan noise associated with its cooling. After purchase and during installation, I thought that the laptop was defective because of the apparent overheating, which catalyzed the fan. So I returned the laptop for another one (exact model). Little did I know that this is a feature of the laptop, and only wished I had looked on the Best Buy website to read reviews first. This could have been a deal breaker.
Now that I have a second Asus (same model), I realize that with all this power, the laptop when performing at max will tend to get very warm. But it is not enough of a negative to return it for another model.
The laptop is super fast (as expected) and performing well. All features (except the occasional over-heating issues issue) are terrific -- lightweight, fast, decent keyboard, and draw stylus.
Asus got a lot in this little dynamo!

This is a fantastic little 2-in-1 ultraportable laptop at a questionably cheap price. Battery life has proven to be pretty good, but have not tested how much video you could watch non-stop on a full charge. Very thin and light. Keyboard feels good, and the trackpad works well. Only 2 USB-C (non-thunderbolt) ports but it does include a small hub with a HDMI port, a USB-C port that is capable of pass-through charging, and USB-A port. Overall a great laptop for the price.

Purchased this for one of our engineers who does extensive AutoCAD work in the field. He is very happy with both the functionality and the performance of the Asus i7 2 in 1. If your current laptop/notebook is more than 3 years old, then this will almost certainly outperform it and you will be happy with your purchase. If you intend to use this in the office, you may want to consider a USB hub and a second, larger monitor.

This computer is exactly what I needed. Great speed, compact, easy to connect a monitor (and other ancillary equipment) to use as a desktop unit and great screen clarity. This is my first touch screen, it is so nice to use as a tablet. I purchased more processing power than I needed with the intent of keeping it for ten years (we will see if that happens).

I bought this laptop almost 2 years ago and have enjoyed it a lot. It's light and easy to carry, and having a touch screen is great. It has good image quality, has rarely crashed on me, is quick to load and has a good amount of memory.
If I were to have any complaints it'd be that it only has 2 USB-C connectors, which makes it hard to use it with a lot of gadgets without having to get an adapter of some sort. However, if you don't mind carrying the laptop with the dongle at all places, then this isnt a problem.
The speakers are actually pretty good for a laptop this small.
Battery life is good, even though I often have it connected and don't need to use the battery often.
If you use it for 8+ hours a day like I do, the poor fan does get a little loud, as it tries to keep the comp cool. Not a dealbreaker but ye be warned.
I don't use the pen, but the one time I tried using it for drawing, I realized it's not pressure sensitive so I lost interest in using it.
Overall, I'd highly recommend this laptop.

Very Low Battery for me

Firstly, i LOVE how light and compact this laptop is - it really looks amazing, is quick, lightweight and ultra-thin! I love having the pen option for taking notes :) Eh, having no USB 3.0 ports is slightly annoying, but only if you regularly connect a mouse (Bluetooth mouse perhaps may solve that?) Anyways, I only get about 5 hours of battery on this thing. When reading the emanual that comes on laptop via start menu - it says cannot be stored under 41 degrees. WELL, it got delivered when it was like 17 degrees in Boston so I wonder if I just have a defective battery, or the cold had something to do with it. I love this laptop but the battery life just isn't gonna cut it for me. I use this for work and school, and travel doing home visits so I really need the battery life to be better! May try to exchange and best buy. Keep y'all updated! I have used this battery from 100 to 0 in about 5 hours of using light internet browsing and Microsoft word. Fully tested battery 100 to 0 twice, little more than 5 hours for me.

I reviewed the Lenovo yoga 920 and the surface products and after several hands on trials and many hours of reading reviews I finally choose this unit. It turns out to be an excellent laptop/tablet for my use which is mostly business and some personal. I do not game or download long videos but use if for email, spreadsheet and other office products. I do view you tube and the like. Overall it is a good buy for the money. Power and capacity are top of the line and I find it easy to type on. It comes with a pen but I find I rarely use it. I do notice a slight heat when I work on it for a while but it is not a problem for resting in my lap at all. I think it maybe should be a little less than 1300 dollars but I also had a great deal of difficulty finding in my local best but stores since it was constantly in demand and sold out. I timed a shipment to get it when it came in the door.
I recommend it to business users like me who have to fly and travel. Its very light weight, has a sturdy keyboard that does not bend or flex and stores a lot on the 512 drive.

Went to the store to see other brands, but this little guy was far and away the best buy for the money. Came with stylus and usb dongle. It's fast and so far has been flawless. The only question remaining is service, but I guess if there are no problems it will be a moot point!

The Asus is everything that it was advertised to be. With 16G memory combined with the solid state drive it will last for several years and still be performing well. I would recommend marrying it with a cloud storage package such as One-Drive if your storage requirements exceed .5 TB.

I have been very happy with this laptop since I picked it up last June. I wanted to make sure it had the most up to date hardware and was as portable as possible. When I started looking in the 12"-14" screen size I was directed towards the XPS 13 originally. The price wasn't terribly attractive. Then I ran across this machine, and found it on sale for $1000. Had all the stuff I wanted like 8th gen i7 (with 4 actual cores), 16gb ram, 512gb ssd, and it was "ultra" portable. Added benefits have been the touch screen, something I use much more than I originally expected. Not sure if they still sell this model but if you can find one I would recommend it.

Pros:
It's a very powerful laptop with the ability to be used as a tablet which is useful in the classroom. 16gb of RAM is nice and it's able to run games pretty well. It's fairly light weight so it won't strain your back when carrying it to class. Has blue tooth so you can listen to tunes on your buds.
Cons: No user replaceable battery. In fact you can't easily replace anything which is both inexcusable and obnoxious.
256 HDD is worthless. Upgrade it to 512.
All things considered it's a good device just be sure to treat it with care otherwise repairs will be $$$.
