Unexpected Video conflicts
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this laptop specifically with watching NBA games and gaming in mind. But in its native resolution, install dialogues and then drop down menus were so small as to be unreadable. There were similar problems after installations as well. Affected programs included MS Office, Quicken, Olive Tree, BibleSoft, WordPerfect, Adobe Reader, and Minecraft. The only resolution after spending 7 hours with Asus and Microsoft (then 3 more hours undoing what they tried). was reducing my video settings to my former laptop's settings. Not happy with this turn of events, and it leaves me wondering why I spent money on graphics that I now cannot use. Asus blamed MS, and MS blamed other software companies. A few of the programs were older, but several of them were brand new.

Everything I'd hoped it would be

I am a software developer and needed a machine with some horsepower. This baby takes care of business. Very well constructed and performs excellent. I run Visual Studio 2015 and SQL Server and this machine just hums. For all you get with this computer, the price is extraordinary.

Great Laptop w. plenty of power

The 500gb SSD is super fast and the camera recognition for login is very convenient. Occasionally a view will come up extremely small, but I think it's just a graphic card setting or resolution is set too high. This hasn't been a problem though and I wouldn't change any setting just to fix a random message being quite small.

Great little gaming laptop

The extra RAM and SSD help make this thing incredibly fast do other things like Video editing, web surfing and 3D design for my 3D printer. The only issue I had was with the external Sonicmaster speaker. Didn't work from day 1 until I updated drivers.

Very good value power laptop

It makes a great mobile workstation that can do anything you need on the go. The one drawback that holds it back is the low battery life - ~5 hours. It's actually a very capable gaming laptop for the cost too, which covers a lot of use cases in general.
