A really great buy. this is my first chrome book, and the speed and reliability are impressive. I am new to the operating system, but everything is intuitive. Really impressive design. I also enjoy the screen and battery life!

This is a great Chromebook. The bank I work for was giving me a Chromebook to take home and use when I was working from home. I liked it so much I wanted my own. I love ASUS and this is what I ended up with. Works great. Nicer than the ones they give me at work as well.

    Defective Touchpad

Bottom line: My touchpad was bad. It made clicking noises even when I wasn't clicking. It made noises when scrolling. I reviewed this on YouTube (Android Digest) and after a week with it, I find that it has great performance but a bad build.. sadly Chrome Unboxed said their trackpad came broken too, so that's 2/2 from what I've seen, not a good look! This has a plastic bottom, a white front that gets easily dirty, a trackpad that's broken, and a screen that is so heavy, that when it sits so far below the keyboard deck, it pokes into my legs. Imagine a 4.5 lb laptop with a heavy screen, but instead of the bottom of the laptop resting on your legs is the bottom of the screen, poking into them. This device performs great, it has a larger screen and great battery life, but the build quality and design choices leave a lot to be desired Pros: Good screen, decent quality Great strong hinge Phenomenal performance for the money Great battery life Cons: Trackpad came broken Plastic bottom Heavy device Using this on your lap will get uncomfortable White outside gets dirty easily

      Dear Zach,

We certainly understand your disappointment with the Chromebook and the inconvenience this may have caused you.

All ASUS products undergo intensive quality control testing and inspections, the touchpad being defective is a random problem. Normally, ASUS provides one year warranty coverage, if product was purchased brand-new, in order to fix or repair any hardware or part that stop working prematurely under normal usage.

If you need further assistance, please let me know and I will be more than happy to help. Or, you are always welcome to call Product Support Hotline at: 1(888) 678-3688. Also, you can chat with an ASUS live support agent at: http://bit.ly/AsusLiveChat.

Thank you for choosing an ASUS product.

The overall form and function of this Chromebook for the price is great. The build quality is well done good screen and loud speakers with plenty storage to not be considered low budget.

Real nice and full size chrome book. The screen is fine and it’s a fast machine. I had trouble with the WiFi rebooted. Started out fine then it got glitchy and started hanging on websites. Really liked the number pad even though the keys felt half size. Returned it and got another no problems so far. I also bought one for my son he never had any issues. I used to have a Hp 360x 15 with keyboard sold it but huge build quality difference between them. Nice but hoping to fined another full size chrome book.

ChromeOS is a great deal for using in college. I use this for most of my coursework and it works wonderful basic computing and some low spec gaming. Only complaint is low battery life.

Its honestly just an oversized tablet or phone. It works well, very cool looking, love the fact that its touchscreen and flips to a tablet. Very cool. However it doesnt do what i need it to, i cant install programs i need and its a waste of money if youre lookin to use it for school or work. If youre just looking to download apps and play mobile games then this device is awesome. For doing actual work, its not for me.

I was hesitant to pick a new laptop for school and after researching a cheaper, similar priced and higher price item I chose the Asus. This one is great. I have had no issues with if and it does what I need for my college classes plus some. I would definitely recomment it to a friend. I love thr touchscreen capability and the screen size. It is the most versatile laptop I have owned.

We've had a small (11") Chromebook for 4 years. Purchased it mostly for travel use. Our main (HP Windows laptop) CPU is 7 years old and starting to really show it. Decided it was time to upgrade. For our use, browsing, email, streaming the Chromebook is the easy choice. But which one? Did my research. The Asus C536 checked all of my boxes. Really fast with the new Gen 11 Intel I3 processor, big display, lighted keyboard, great connectivity, and 8 years of security/system upgrades. Decision made! Have had the Asus for over a week now. No issues, still extremely pleased.

Love the laptop. No issues at all. This computer is way better than thought! Great value. My friend who knows computers and stuff recommended this one to me, he said the specs paid this one the most worth it. I didn't know anything but I would highly recommend this for someone who's looking to do basic work. I like to be able to work from home, I'm a teacher. But I also sell stuff on eBay I put on YouTube and private tutor. And this computer works well for me. It's super fast and I kind a like the bigger keyboard and the bigger screen in general. Yes

Great machine, has what I need for light word processing using Google Docs/Google sheets, watching recordings remotely off my home DVR, viewing all sorts of other clips-n-videos. Good solid keyboard. Love the back-lighting! Also appreciate that I can stand it up in a 'A' shape to or bend it all the way over and use it like [an oversized] tablet. Speed is a-ok as well. Haven't used it long enough to judge battery life.

I wanted a Chromebook with a bigger screen; this one was a reasonable price, so I picked it up. Great screen; I've not had one second of problems since purchasing this Asus 2-1. I can recommend this without hesitation. I use this Chromebook every day, pretty much all day. The only slightly negative I could say is that it is noticeable when the fan comes on, but it is not egregiously loud and has no slowdowns. So if you're on the fence about purchasing this, get off and head over to Bestbuy.
