I was looking for for an I7 chip laptop and found this as can open box in Best Buy. I have had no problems with its operation and speed is very good. A little bit heavy but OK for a desktop.

I have actually bought 3 of these ASUS laptop/tablets this year. If I had more to spend on them, I would buy 2 more!
Seriously, these are excellent laptops. I don't really use the tablet functionality often, but because it has dedicated graphics I am able to do some pretty heavy 3D work with this. I use software like Autodesk 3DSMax, Maya, Zbrush, Photoshop etc and everything runs really smoothly. The render times are a -little- slower than my ASUS Desktop, but I wasn't looking for a laptop to handle 100% of my 3D workload either. It also games well, I've played Sims 4, Battlefront, Mirror's Edge, Borderlands 2 just to name a few.. all with no issues whatsoever.

Excellent gaming computer I have had no problems with it. The 2 in 1 is perfect If I don't need the keyboard I can just use the touch screen. Great if you are watching movies or browsing the internet. Light weight. Easy to use.

This is a great all around computer. Plays all the games I want on decent settings, has great resolution for videos, and the flip/touch screen makes it that much better.

So I got this laptop for on sale and as a student I'm really happy with it. I was looking for something with a little bit of juice, moderately transportable and under $1000 and a 2-in-1. Everything else I looked at either was too old and outdated, too expensive, or didn't have a dedicated graphics card. I'm by no means a heavy gamer, I play Skyrim or NFS a few hours a week at most. And this computer handles both of them very well, while being affordable. The 2-in-1 feature is amazing. I'm so glad I got a convertible laptop. It looks great. Feels super sturdy because of the aluminum build, and works smoothly. Also, it's modifiable so you can add ram, add another HDD or SSD and replace the DVD drive. It comes with a DVD drive too, which might come in handy. The touchscreen is snappy and the keyboard is superb with great backlighting.
The battery however hasn't been the most reliable. Sometimes it gives me 4 hours, sometimes 7, but mostly on the 4.5 hour side, when I'm browsing the internet. Gaming will get me 1.5-2 hours. Not the best, but you gotta compromise someplace. The trackpad is sub par, so I bought a $25 mouse and all is well now. Finally, even though this hasn't become a problem yet, the airflow isn't the best inside the computer. It hasn't never gotten uncomfortably hot, but maybe it might become a problem. The laptop is super solid in build, and the vent is in between the screen and the body. There are no holes for intake on any other side, or the base. Hopefully this won't become a problem. The 5400rpm HDD isn't the fastest, but it can easily be switched out.
In summary, great price, great performance for the price, great build quality, great full size keyboard, great screen, true 2-in-1 design, fluctuating battery life, okay trackpad.
Would recommend to anyone looking for something in this range.

The Asus laptop with Windows 10 is a very nice computer. The graphics and speed of the applications are very good. Windows 10 becomes easier to use the more I used it. I replaced the 1 TB hard drive with a 1 TB SSD. One issue I have with the computer is that it does not load quickly. Not sure why that is. However other reviewers have also noted this. Another issue that needs to be addressed by Asus is the fact that the NumLock key is not activate on boot-up. The key has to be manually pressed to activate it. This is very annoying and needs to be addressed. This computer costs $1,000 and should not have this deficiency. Asus technical support was not able to resolve the issue.

so far it's been great. love the backlit keyboard, touch screen, number pad, size, weight, and battery life. bought for law school. down sized from my 17-inch so I could have something more portable. this is one of the few new touch screen computers that also has a dvd / optical drive. dvd drives are still used in law school

This is my second ASUS laptop, the first being a G75VW gaming machine which became too heavy for me to lug around and I was looking for a lighter machine.
I have read some of the earlier reviews about problems upgrading from Win 8.1. This computer came pre-installed with 10 and I had no problems with getting started.
I will say that the dedicated video graphics and the WIN 10 compatibility checks have made installation and running of several old pieces of software and games easier.
While the 8GB of RAM is probably sufficient for most users, I will probably expand to the max 12GB max at some point.
This is one of the few Laptops and particularly 2 in 1 ones that contains a DVD drive. Many people will say this is not really necessary anymore with digital streaming and software downloads, but for those of us who have many items still on CD and DVD it is very convenient. It is not a Blu-Ray DVD player however.
The one real issue I have with WINDOWS 10 is their removal of Windows MEDIA PLAYER. As a result there is NO software on the computer to play DVDs. You will need to PAY Microsoft $15 for an "APP" or download a 3rd party program to play DVDs.
Windows 10 will require quite a bit of "tinkering" to remove some of Microsoft more intrusive security/ tracking settings.
So far 3 weeks I would buy it again without a problem.

Asus has long held the standard for computer development and construction. I bought an Asus laptop about 3 years ago and loved its ease of use , fidelity, and durability. My son's laptop died and he was in need last year, so regretfully I gave him mine. It still works perfectly. I missed having the flexibility of a laptop and needed my own replacement this fall and immediately thought of Asus. I did not consider anything else. I actually traded up with the flexibility of the 360 i7 processor this Asus contains. It has speed, functionality, ease of navigation, and durability that I want in a computer. This is the one you want too!

This ASUS 2 in 1 is a great device. I have used it in tablet, laptop, and tent modes. It performs very well. The touch screen is very responsive, the keyboard touch is nice, and the display is beautiful. The case is a little slick so I am careful carrying it. The backlit keys are innovative and visually appealing, especially in low light, though the keys are a little more difficult to read in brighter light. I rarely look at keys so that is no big deal to me. I recommend this to anyone wanting a full size display with all the laptop and tablet features you need. I am amazed that they put a DVD drive in it.

I've been considering replacing my primary laptop I use for web development for almost a year. I am used to using a Macbook but just couldn't justify pulling the trigger on a $2,000+ replacement Macbook. I found this laptop with open box for $750, which is amazing for how fast it is and how large the monitor is. I would say the only flaw is that the trackpad is sensitive in odd ways, for example using the Chrome browser and switching between tabs I would get accidental zoom in / outs. Also the laptop is quite hefty at 5 lbs, but it's a worthy trade-off for a large screen.

Two my previous laptops were HP however this time I decided to follow my fiend advise and purchase Asus. I like it a lot. I also noticed that it doesn't get as hot as my HP laptops, also Asus doesn't have a lot of junk (adds, promotions, commercials, etc) installed like HP computers. I like screen touch option although I am not using it very often. I use this laptop work work and some light gaming. Asus does exactly what I expect from a good laptop.
