The monitor is very slim, only issue I have is the IPS, they tend to be slow. but the image quality is very good. I don't watch movies or game on this monitor. so it works well.

I bought this monitor about a month ago from this date of review. The monitor is easy to set up and the price is great as well. The images are of high quality and it is worth going for. The only thing is when you watch a video other than 1080p, it is kinda vague. If you need a good speaker to come with the monitor this is not for you. Besides that this monitor is excellent for gaming, programming, wide screen web browsing!!

I looked and read reviews for about 4 weeks before I decided to buy this monitor. The only thing I wasn't sure that I liked was the non glare screen. It didn't look that great in the store, but when I got home and set it up I was blown away. The set up was very easy, just plug in the power and in my case and HDMI cable from my laptop. I did mention the buttons to adjust the volume and menu. They are very sensitive and take a little time getting use too but now for me its not an issue at all. I use the monitor as a second screen but find myself wanting to use it all the time and not use my 15.5 screen on my laptop. I don't game so I can't say if its good for gaming but I do watch movies and its great for that. The speakers are really good and sound good at max volume. I also use the head phone jack which is another good feature.

This monitor came highly recommended for gaming (low input lag of 10ms; not the same as response time) and quality of the picture. I couldn't be happier with the product.

I was in need of a larger monitor without going oversize. This was the perfect one for me and I really cant find anything bad to say about it. In fact, I liked it so much I bought another one. I use it for retouching my stock photography images as well as video gaming and find it to be a good balance for both. I love that it is frameless. Great quality for a reasonable price.

The picture is fantastic great sound for stock speakers the buttons are very sensitive so they won't wear out!! A++++

This is a very nice monitor. The price is acceptable. The only cons I would say it can not go up and down like the Dell monitors. It can only change the angles.

My old HP 25" monitor died on me and I wanted to find a replacement in the 27" class. It's pretty hard to compare monitors in store because the lighting is different, they usually use the same video feed and who knows what the picture settings are set at. So, I relied on a recommendation from my nephew that had owned this model for awhile and online tech and user reviews. In the 27" screen size range, I really don't think you can do any better as far as bang for the buck. The positives are that this monitor has a very sharp picture with vivid colors. Sure they're coming out with newer and better monitors with higher resolution now, but you have to pay significantly more to get that. It was very easy to set up and unlike most other monitors that were either flat or glossy black plastic, this monitor has a bit of style to it with the silver "sundial" base and the silver bar across the bottom of the screen. It also has very little bezel, practically an edge to edge display. The monitor is very thin and light, easy to move around and doesn't take up too much real estate on my desk. Many reviewers knock the sound quality, but I'd have to say that it knocks the socks off of any other monitor's built-in speakers at this price point. The audio was developed in conjunction with Bang & Olufsen which I'm sure contributes to this. Is it audiophile for watching movies or listening to music? No, but then, what built-in monitor speakers do? I have a separate speaker system with a subwoofer to use when needed but for most day to day tasks, I find the audio quality from this monitor's speakers to be perfectly acceptable. I also like the non-glare finish as I have my monitor on a desk in my den with a window behind me, so this makes the display easier to see than my old HP which had a glossy screen finish. Negatives? About the only thing I find that comes close to a negative so far is using the adjustment buttons as others have stated. They are overly touch sensitive which results in some accidental pushes occasionally and hard to see if you're in a darker environment. But I Googled "ASUS MX279h Manual" and after reading it, the system is easy to use and I find I don't really need to adjust much now that everything is set up. It's only been a month or two since I purchased it, so I can't say anything about long term reliability, but hopefully I'll get many years of use out of this monitor. Very satisfied with this purchase!

Monitor was easy to connect. Picture is very nice, crisp, and clear. When sitting beside my older monitor it was amazing the difference in the picture quality.

This is the best screen in my house now. Granted it can be a little dim but for the price and Performance It's worth iT. I had a price match on amazon and got it for 175.00 so it's a beast of a deal.

I had my reservations about buying this monitor because I originally wanted a 4k model. Due to budgetary restraints, I chose not to purchase the more expensive 4k monitor. Even though this was not my first choice, I must say I am very pleased. I use it mainly for gaming and it works like a charm. The picture is BEAUTIFUL and clear. Also, I like the fact that you don't have to break the bank to have a high quality product. I highly recommend this product!

This is a great monitor to have if you work a lot and have to have multiple windows up. In fact, I was so impressed with it that I am considering buying another one to use for dual screening. Picture is crisp and clear, there is no glare when the sunlight hits it, and the speaker is great if you need to watch videos or even for movies/gaming.

If you have glare issues this is the monitor for you, the glossy screen has the same quality if not better than LED/LCD with no heavy light reflection.

This monitor is awesome. The video quality is clear and being that it is an Asus product, you really can't go wrong. If I were to complain about one thing, it would have to be the touch sensitive controls on the bottom right corner of the monitor. They are very sensitive and you just have to be careful not to brush across the bottom of the monitor or you might altering the settings, or shut off the monitor. Other than that, this monitor is simply amazing. Very pleased with it, and I am so glad I picked this up when it was the last one in the store at the time.

I have always used Samsung but I wanted a bigger screen so I tried this and it is great and I never have to squint or get close to the screen again

I was planning to buy a 24 inch asus monitor but ended up walking out with two 27 inch asus monitors and since then I have not regretted it one bit

This was a great monitor, but was may "over-featured" for our application. We purchased it because it was one of the few 27" monitors that Best Buy had two of in stock, and they had a great price on it at the time. We have been very happy with it.

This display is gorgeous and the stand looks great on my desk. The speakers for monitor speakers provide nice sound for when not using headphones.
