I use this as a PC Monitor and I must say it's fantastic. Careful tho if your buying this for 4K gaming tho b/c your gonna need more powerful GPU's than I have. I have SLI GTX 760's and there not enough to run in 4k on anything higher than medium graphics. I must say tho that this only applies to the latest high end graphically intense games like MGS 5 Ground Zero's, Dragon Age Inquisition, Star Citizen, Far Cry 4. Besides my weeny PC having a tough time I'd highly recommend it. everything out side of gaming like movie watching playing other non high end games at 4k if they support it look great no hiccup at all. just be careful with text up scaling a lot of games will support 4k resolutions but don't have text up scaling which the picture may look nice but your not gonna be a able to read a darn thing, which stinks but I'm sure more and more games will catch up once they get enough feed back. I only seem to run into this on lower end games where they don't have HUD scaling options. all The High end games I mentioned earlier already have this in anticipation of 4k resolution. It has a very good anti glare coating on it that helps things look super crisp at 4k even in a bright light room. It has many different screen color mode settings that do come in handy in case your playing in a low lit room because the screen is quite bright encase you don't want it that bright in a low lit room. It's has 2 HDMI ports both of which I have my PS3 and PS4 plugged into and they both work and look great at their respective 1080p resolutions. I tested My Wii U on it and it looks great as well. The main plug it has is a DisplayPort 1.2 which Is important that it's 1.2 because you can only get 4k PC gaming at 60 hz when it's in 1.2 mode which it comes normally in 1.1 mode which you have to change by hand at first. Believe me your gonna notice the screen lag when it's at 4k 30hz, although I it ran the fine/smooth without lag if my pc was set to 1080p 30hz.

Great shipping. Came in a nice box that kept everything packed neatly. Probably going to hold onto it in case I need to take the monitor somewhere. The picture quality is stunning. The first thing you're going to need to do is fool around with your computers settings to make sure everything is being displayed the way you like. The only complaint is that the buttons on the monitor itself to fiddle with settings is not very user friendly. It still gets the job done but could've been better. The stand itself is actually a huge plus. It sounds like such a little thing sometimes but it really stands out(no pun intended) compared to other monitors. All in all, great monitor.

I absolutely love it. I have learned though that 28 inch might still be a little small for 4K.You will definitely have to upscale a lot of the display. The only true problem is that the volume control you have to go into like 4 or 5 option settings before you even reach it. The buttons on the monitor suck. Besides that the picture is really nice.

The main reasons I selected this were (1) height adjustable and (2) size -- I wanted screen more than 23" but less than 33". There were very options to choose from, given my two constraints. I went for ASUS because of their reputation and shape of the stand. My issues: 1. The picture and fonts don't seem as sharp as I would like them to be even though I have the recommended resolution for this monitor's display (1920 x 1080). I do have the scale at 125% so maybe that makes things a bit blurry. I feel that my little laptop screen is much more sharp. 2. The speaker volume seems much lower than that of my laptop so for some of my online meetings, i have to change the audio to come from my laptop instead of the monitor (which feels odd, to have the sound coming from the laptop which is sitting not right in front of me but a little to the left). I did go into the monitor settings and increased the sound volume of the monitor speakers and that did improve the volume. 3. The monitor user interface (the buttons etc. to control it) are not very user friendly. The control buttons are at the back of the monitor although little dots on the front, and on-screen icons, do help guide the user as to where to put his/her finger behind the monitor to push a button. After you have pushed one of the physical buttons, menus come up on the screen to navigate/modify settings but it is also not very easy/intuitive to navigate them. Overall, not an easy experience to modify the monitor settings. And no guidance at all came with the monitor about the settings. (A very tiny printed quick start did come with the monitor showing, graphically, how to assemble and set it up. Affixing the stand was easy but setting up the cables etc. was not; see next point.) 4. The ports are in an extremely unfriendly position. I had to lay the monitor face down and use a flashlight to look into the difficult hidden place where I had to plug in my HDMI cable etc. After I was done, I noticed that there was a sort of indication on the tiny little printed quick start guide which seemed to show that I could have un-hidden the ports by removing the plastic panel covering it. I then tried to pull that plastic out but could not and didn't try to hard for fear I might break something. 5. The quick start guide could have been a bit more explicit. If you pay more than $400 for something, you expect some decent guidance on what you have bought and how to put it together and also what the settings are. This is the first time I have purchased a monitor (although have used monitors at my work place previously) so don't have much to compare it too. Perhaps I am being too harsh on the ASUS. But I do think the picture on my monitors at my job is clearer. Also, the picture and fonts on my old Gateway All-in-one were clearer and certainly the display of my small laptop is much more sharp. Maybe there is some monitor (or laptop display) setting I could change but there is no guidance that came with the monitor to help me do that.

The monitor rotates 90 degrees. Up and down. Easy hook up to computer. The control panels are on the back and are easy to operate once your figure them out. You need to change the settings to 4K when you first set it up! I would purchase this one again. I might get a second one! It was between this and the samsung model. Picked this one because of the picture quality and the ability to move the screen~

I needed a dual monitor setup upgrade from my 1080p monitors for work. AT the time I could only afford one 4k, and it didn't disappoint at all. I tested it out for back-lighting and framerate the best I could, and after a year had zero issues. 12 months later I bought a second one, and there wasn't any issues with matching color, brightness, saturation ect. I use them for professional video editing and I've been more than pleased.

Lots of pros very few cons. PQ is really great as long as you are looking straight ahead and not standing looking down which for the most part no one should. Buttons on the back take getting use to but no way does it make it a deal killer. Asus makes great products including monitors and including this one.

Great monitor -- good for reading ebooks, gaming, office work. I have two of these monitors docked to a Surface Pro 4 (via Surface Dock) and they work really well together. These monitors have a variety of modes and can be easily adjusted to fit your preferences for light / dark, saturation, contrast, etc. These are easy to set up, work really well with my Surface and last a long time with good treatment. I actually first purchased one of these monitors a couple of years ago -- so I was glad to pick up a second to extend my desktop. I use this every day, essentially all day -- and in the evenings, I can relax with this monitor and do some gaming. This is a terrific monitor.

I have a computer with a performance rating of 7:8 This product was a great addition for watching online but more importantly is being able to have a number of documents (using tabs) on screen at the same time all of which are readable making class presentation notes and research material much easier to assemble

Easy to set up, has performed well, screen controls are not much of a challenge when you understand the symbols to move from control to control. Just the right size for two 8 1/3 by 11 type text files when I'm working and great resolution when I need to go to high res.

    Flickering & Scrolling Horizontal Lines

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

I ordered this monitor 6/10/15 through the store and received it 6/19/15. The monitor started flickering with horizontal lines that scroll up, down & blink July 4 weekend. I informed Best Buy July 7th (19 days after I got it) and was told I'd have to contact the manufacturer. Well I did that (I won't go into the nightmare that was) and got my monitor back yesterday 8/6/2015. Can't plug it in because I didn't get the base back! Well, I could technically plug it in but just lay it down on the desk or maybe hang it on the wall for viewing? I'll keep you posted if this gets any better.

This monitor is amazing. I has great features, and setup is great, too. Picture is awesome. I would have liked a little bit different setup for connections (they're hard to get to because of a plastic shroud). I also would have liked another DisplayPort port, but you can't have it all. Great monitor for a great price.

4K is the way to go. Asus delivers big-time with this product. Very sleek and cool looking on my desktop. Takes some getting used to the controls on the back of the monitor. Asus could have definitely done a better job of engineering in that department. Aside from that, this monitor rocks! Get a few of them.

This monitor is great for being 4K and the price is a good deal. But once I got the monitor and 2 days use, I found out this was a defect because it had a dead pixel in the missile of the screen, even though it was 4K Res I could still notice it. I just simply got another one and it was great.
