I got this to extend the network out to a metal building (shop) at the back of the property. No need to run cables or wires underground. This worked for my purposes.

Upgraded from a Linksy and I couldn't be happier. I have it hooked up in my basement and I get great signal on my second level everywhere I go. Hasn't been disconnecting me and needing to be reset like my last router either.

Great coverage from this router. Replaceable antennas allowed us to use our own that are mounted outside and still had great coverage.

I had an RT-AC68P and needed to have wired network in a location of the home I didn’t want to wire. Thanks to ASUS mesh I upgraded to this blazing fast 3100 and go mesh connectivity hat was a breeze to setup

This thing is a beauty. The strength of the signal and bandwidth is incredible. Stop throwing your money away renting a router that won't give you the speeds you are paying for!

Great router especially if you use Centurylink 1G

I have CenturyLink 1G fibre at the house and the router they use I was getting 64Mbs at best over wireless. I found that you can use other routers as long as it supports vlan tagging which this router does. I bought it set it up and when plugged directly into the router I was getting over 900Mbps The router is in my basement because my wife works from home and we had to setup and office space down there. My laptop is on the opposite side of the house and upstairs from the router and I still get over 200Mbps speeds compared to the 60Mbps on CenturyLinks crappy router that they make you think is all you can use. I would highly recommend this router especially if you gave CenturyLink 1G fibre.

I checked my internet speeds before and after installing the router and it was a huge jump. I just had a N router and I can tell the difference. The 5ghz is very fast. I have yet to hook up a usb drive but it looks simple.

Pros: doubled my internet speed Cons: first one stopped working on 5ghz band and had to exchange it in one day. Second one had issues with dropping 5ghz band a couple times as well but very rarely.

I live in a house over 4000 sq ft and was using a netgear router that worked ok but just died one day. This one has worked out much better and has more range. For the price I would say it gets the job done.

My old router was decent but had deadspots with wireless, then I thought why not spend more and lets see what happens. I decided on this Asus ac3100 cost 3x more than my old router. The setup was easy like most routers and the difference between the old and the new router was night and day. The Asus ac3100 is so much more powerful, no more deadspots with wireless, so much faster with both bands, hardly any buffering when streaming, and Ethernet connection amazing. Had this router for 2 months now with no issue very stable, there's also a nice Asus online control panel where I can make changes on how to manage my Asus ac3100 super router. This router is worth every hard earned penny I had no regret spending more to have top notch performance. Thanks Asus for creating this router...

I was absolutely blown away with the features and ease of setup on this router. It's a little pricey but for a home router it functions like something off an alien spacecraft with the ease of setup of a plug and play device.

It was hard to choose a new router for the house after looking at all of the reviews for the different brands and models but decided on this router. Upon opening the box, I found that this router is quite large (maybe around the size of 3 10" tablets stacked atop each other). Setup was pretty simple (be aware it takes a while to boot up). Updating the firmware and simple things like the passwords for the 2.4ghz and 5ghz bands were easy. The 2.4ghz range is much better than my older router as expected and haven't had any issues for the couple months I've had it. I constantly have it running and it doesn't get very hot.
