It took reading a general tech support form to find out I needed to add the repeater over a wired connection. Useage: Once the repeater was connected, and the mesh nodes re-optimized, it works great! I was able to eliminate the deadzone in the upper bedrooms and did not experience drops in streaming quality that were previously an issue.

In order to get this thing set you, you have to download an app first. Then once in that app, it will let you set up the extender. My internet upstairs is still dropping so I don't even think this thing is working properly. I'm going to probably exchange and get a network. They need to figure out how to do away with the stupid app or enhance it. You can even look at the reviews in the Apple App Store and see that the reviews suck.

Don't waste your money for an AI Mesh point.

It does not create an AI mesh point according to ASUS service. I have had two of these now and they won't work. I will be exchanging and getting a different brand. I even have an ASUS router and thought that this would be the best solution. It isn't and it sucks!!!!
