Decided my older Asus router was overdue for an upgrade (I've had it for many years, with a generally positive experience), and went with this one. Terrible mistake. A little over a month after setting it up, I woke up one day to find it non-functioning, wireless or wired. Even with hard reboots, the router would only work for a few minutes before crashing again. I assumed it was the internet at first. Logged into the router during its few minutes of hard reboot functioning via ethernet, once I was certain my actual internet was fine, and found all manner of errors in the router logs from the day it failed. I tried turning off firewalls and tweaking other things to smooth things out, but nothing helped. I've only owned one router in my life with a lifespan as short as this one, and I don't do anything particularly fancy with my routers that would strain them. I've plugged back in my still-functioning older router and will continue to use that for now, I guess, while I search for a better router replacement. I'm immensely frustrated this one failed so soon after it can no longer be returned, so my wallet is burned with nothing to show for it, money I could have put towards a router that actually works.

All ASUS products undergo intensive quality control testing and inspections, and are built to last, the router stop functioning within a monthe of usage is a random problem. ASUS provides warranty coverage. We recommend that you send the product in for service so we can determine if this is a router issue so this may be resolved immediately. So I bought two of these to expand my Wi-Fi signal and to use it for direct plug in for video surveillance system and it works pretty good.. I've used Netgear for years and decided to shift over to asus and asus has been working great for me

I bought this along with ARRIS - SURFboard 32 x 8 DOCSIS 3.0 Cable Modem. Comcast had raised the internet speed so I was going to need a new modem and router anyway. My son installed these without issue, even with my internet being down at the time!!! Work great!

Great Router, App has lots of options, like smart connect where you can let the router assign your device to the best network for your device or you can set them yourself. If you have a big enough space Ai mesh is pretty cool

We bought this to expand Wi-Fi signal and so far it's working perfectly! Have used Netgear in the past, but Asus seems to be more reliable as of now.

This router works perfectly with our Verizon Fios wifi (for less than 1/2 the price of the Verizon-brand router)! Easy to set up and covers all of our 2 story, 1100 sq ft home without any trouble.

I purchased this as an AiMesh node. Once added to the network, this router caused a slowdown in the transfer rate to 1-2Mbps/sec. Problem was somewhat solved if this was moved farther away from the main router (RT-AX82U). There is occasional decrease in speed but these seem to be blips rather than constant. Don't know the performance as a router.
