My need was to replace my home office desktop. I needed a machine with multiple ports (2 networked printers, a scanner, networked hard drive, camera, microphne, etc.) and manage two monitors. In addition I still wanted a DVD recordable drive for editing audio and video. The ExpertCenter checked all of the boxes. For a small form factor case it packs a 10th Gen I5 (the lower end 10400), 8GB of ram and a 512 SSD (That for some reason ASUS split into two drives.) What sold me is the the case has ample room for upgrading. It can add another 3 slots for memory, has an open slot for another M2 SSD card and can add a 2.5" hard drive. Because it has an ASUS motherboard I could go crazy and upgrade the video card using the open PCIe 3.0 X16 slot on a Radeon 3200 card that would allow me to run 4 monitors at 4K resolution or one at 8K. I have had it for almost a month and I am pleased with it. I can run multiple applications with no issues and have never had the fan turn on. It's hooked up to two 27" Acer monitors running 1920x1080 at 60mhz. When I'm not using it my 9yr old is running Minecraft one one screen and Zoom on the other. Only issue was the segregated SSD. I was worried about losing space since all of the directories were mapped to C: . The simpliest solution was to link documents, music and pictures directories to my One Drive account so those files go right to the cloud. I then remapped the downloads and video directories to D: drive so only software would go to the C: drive. Overall I chose this over a comparable Lenovo and HP because of the layout of the case, the included DVD Drive, and the built in upgrade options and I am very pleased with it so far.

I have no doubt that this is a fantastic computer. Unfortunately the product page that I purchased from and the initial receipt I received indicated that I bought the Asus with the i7-10700 CPU. However, once it shipped, the shipment notice showed the model with the i5 CPU. I contacted Best Buy's chat and was assured I bought the i7. It arrived today, i5. Wrong one. I contacted Best Buy's chat again today to inform them of the issue with this product page but am uncertain if the rep understood that the product page for i7 is connected to the i5 and vice versa. So, I didn't get what I thought might be a screaming deal here and will be returning the i5. Make sure to check the product pages for both computers before buying to ensure you spare yourself a similar hassle.
