    Excellent Chromebook Computer

    This is my first Chromebook computer, and I wanted one where I could install apps from Google Play. Everything works well, and my apps run perfectly. Also, the unit is very light, the screen is bright and just the right size for me.

    I'm not one to write reviews, but I felt compelled in this case just out of sheer joy. I bought the ASUS - Flip C302CA because my wife was losing her mind with her 3 year old Lenovo. It was a spyware/adware nightmare! All she needed was something to surf the net, watch movies, e-reader, and an occasional spreadsheet or two. I was skeptical about the Chromebooks/Chrome OS, but id some research and the ASUS came up in CNET's top 8. So, I took a chance and man am I impressed! not only is it light weight, sturdy construction, and beautiful design, it is lighting fast and the touch screen works flawlessly. It boots up instantly. It took only 5 minutes to setup (if not less). battery lasts forever (12 hours). It may not be able to mine for bitcoins, but this thing is perfect for your kid or spouse that likes to zip around the internet (even on our crappy internet) and play games, watch movies/videos.

    Researched for several days, even went into several electronic stores and checked out the top end Chrome books. The verdict, Asus Chrome book 302CA, Second place, Samsung 12.3" Chromebook Plus Touch Screen OP1 Hexa-core 4GB RAM 32GB eMM, lost to Asus due to poor keyboard design, to small footprint and lacks quality and comfort typing. Recommendation, check out, you'll be amazed just how wonderful a Chromebook experience can be. 5 Stars

    I would give this zero stars if that were an option. I have had this for just over a year and the battery completely died. I have used maybe once per month average (so 12 uses total) and store in my house at room temperature. It looks as if it just came out of the box. Even worse ASUS accepts no responsibility and the customer service is TERRIBLE! A few days out of warranty and they want to charge me big $$$ to even look at it. Do yourself a favor and don't even consider this option unless you want a computer that won't function and a company that won't assist in any way to fix!

      I do understand the inconvenience this may have caused you, your dissatisfaction with the quality of the product and your recent customer service experience. All ASUS products undergo intensive quality control testing and inspections, this is a random problem. We do value our customers and take negative customer service experience very seriously. This is not the quality of service expected from ASUS. We do stand behind our product and we continuously strive to improve our approach and processes in order to achieve customer service excellence. Usually, the following can be performed in order to resolve the no power on or no boot up issue. Please verify if the AC adapter is properly connected from the Chromebook to a known good, working surge protector or AC outlet. If this was tried to no avail, please try to disconnect the AC adapter and let the unit drain for 24 hours to clear the memory and reset the hardware to default settings. After doing this, please reconnect your AC adapter then power on the unit. If the problem persisted, please press and hold the power button until the Chromebook shuts down completely, wait at least 10 seconds then power on, until you see the Google Chrome logo or a battery icon. If a battery icon shows up, let the battery charge fully before turning it on again.If you need further assistance with the warranty service for the product, please email me at [email protected] and I would be more than happy to help.

    Had this Chromebook for 28 days and it stopped working and would not charge. Best buy and ASUS refused to help or give a refund.
