I bought this for my son to do school work on. He takes care of electronics so well that people normally ask if he's used it when he sells them. The plastic holding the hinge broke within 6 months and the screen was just flopping around. *** Fun Fact! If you take it to the Geek Squad with this issue, they will ship it to be fixed. When it gets there, they will say we dropped it (we did not) and offer to either fix it for $200, or hold it hostage until we pay $35 to ship it back. *** So, I had them ship it back. I used Gorilla epoxy to glue it all together and that worked well. In 9 months, it stopped charging. The pin in the middle of the power jack is thinner than a balding man's hair strand and it snapped off. Since I'm certain that I voided the warranty with the hinge, I cut out the old jack and soldered a different brand in place. I glued that together with gorilla epoxy. That worked well. After 10 months, the sound stopped working. I cannot figure it out. It works with headphones, so I suspect that the headphone jack has worn out. As good as Gorilla epoxy, is, it won't fix this. There are some good things about this laptop's hardware. The touch screen has not broken. It is very light due to the flimsy plastic and small battery. The hard drive has plenty of space. Performance is mediocre. If you like the Google Chrome browser, you won't like this laptop, because it will use up all the memory and grind to a halt. The hard disk is noisy and makes a clicking sound like a cockroach tap dancing on my head trying to find a mate. This laptop is perfect for some cases. If you are a student that needs excuses to not finish homework, this is the perfect laptop for you. If you have a son or daughter that is begging for a laptop for Christmas, but whose behavior doesn't deserve one, this might be a solution for that. If you need a laptop just for writing a review at Best Buy, this laptop was up to the challenge as I'm doing that now before stepping on it. The keyboard is a bit cramped though. OK, I'm not going to step on it since I'm a level headed guy, but I'm tempted. Wow, am I tempted.

No problems with this laptop so far except it came with the wrong power cord and I had to visit a Best Buy store to arrange a replacement.
