Very easy to implement, comes with everything needed to install. It's a great solution in parallel with a wifi extender or a mesh network by repurposing the coax cabling that may already exist in your home.
I set this up using that cabling, and connected Eero Pro 6 units via MoCA. This gives a 1 GB, ultra-low latency backbone connection (can support up to 2.5GBps) between Eero nodes.
In comparison, using the wifi backbone band, speeds are capped at about 500MB under most ideal conditions. The MoCA adapter solution is a significant speed improvement with no environmental factors causing performance fluctuations.
Coupled to a 2GB fiber ISP connection, my current setup is downstairs media using a separate 1GB port on a switch, and the downstairs Eero gateway using its own 1GB switch port. Couple the Eero devices together via the MoCa cabling and now the second floor has access to a true 1GB connection as well.
Fully recommend.

Easy to use and connect. Was a little more work for me since I had to set up our home’s Coax cables. We’ve never had cable or broadband via coax so I had to buy some extra stuff on top of this product. Otherwise, once everything was connected correctly, these worked perfectly. Plugged them in, reset our router and they connected seamlessly.

I already had 2 motorola MoCA adapters. I could not find additional units so I purchased these Asus adapters to give my mesh satellites a wited backhaul. Once I toned out the lines to identify which coax went to each room I connected the first unit and it was linked in no time. Repeated the process for the second unit and it was just as seamless.

I really wanted to like these. Performance was great at first and they did exactly what I needed for about 5 months. Then one of the two adapters suddenly started failing — the Ethernet link would either not come up at all or only connect at 100 Mbps instead of the advertised 2.5 Gbps, even with known-good Cat6 cables and different NICs/ports. Swapping locations confirmed the problem follows that one unit.
What makes this worse is ASUS support. Their website keeps sending me in circles: I can’t properly register the product, the serial shows up as some kind of “bonus accessory,” and the online warranty tools either loop me back to the retailer or just dead-end, even though this is clearly still under ASUS warranty (Best Buy lists 3-year parts/labor on the product page). I’ve spent way too much time trying to get a simple RMA started.
One more thing: the power connectors on both adapters feel very loose. Even on the “good” unit, the barrel plug doesn’t feel secure, which doesn’t inspire confidence for something that’s supposed to just sit there and be reliable network infrastructure.
When it works, it’s fast. But reliability plus the warranty/support nightmare makes it hard to recommend. If you need something you can depend on long-term, I’d look at other MoCA options.
We certainly understand your disappointment with the product and the inconvenience this may have caused if you are experiencing difficulty claiming warranty for the defective unit. All ASUS products undergo intensive quality control testing and inspections, and are built to last, this is a random problem.
We recommend you send the product in for service to determine if this is a hardware issue so this may be resolved immediately. An RMA number is required to send it in for service. For RMA details, please go to: https://www.asus.com/us/support/article/818/. If you need more information or further assistance with the warranty for the product, please email me at [email protected] and I would be more than happy to help. Or you are most welcome to call Product Support Hotline at: 1(888) 678-3688. Also, you can chat with an ASUS live support agent from the link: https://www.asus.com/us/support/article/1135/.
Thank you for choosing an ASUS product.
