This little tablet packs a punch! I thought about it in the store for almost 1 hour, comparing different models at similar prices, and even more expensive. My conclusion was correct and since I have been very pleased with it. I have already received and installed 3 updates, Now up to 4.4.2, so there we go, I have not seen if ASUS is planning on upgrading it to Lollipop but I hope they do. The screen is very nice, but not excellent, but for less that 100USD is more than good. Speed is good, I added a 64GB microSD and have really had no problems at all. The battery lasts a couple of days so,that is good too!. You can't go wrong with ASUS, and I am a Sony Famboi,

Screen resolution and speed are great for a tablet less than $100. Bought for my 11y/o daughter to use for school projects. Many features are similar to Samsung, but overall construction needs some help. This tablet fell from the couch seat to carpet floor in its case,and sstopped working. I could hear something rattling and shifting inside, so I decided to take cover off and check it out(figured nothing to lose since we bought geek squad 3 year coverage). The battery moves around somewhat freely in these devices, and this small drop caused it to break a little side clip on battery plug. I was able to get repaired temporarily, but still need to take in. I've dropped my Samsung from chest level into concrete with no case, and NOT had anything happen except chip the corner of theplastic frame!

I received the Asus - Memo Pad 7 for Christmas, because I wanted to be able to read the newspaper and my smart phone screen was to small. I took it at of the box, put a charge on it like required, and down loaded some apps and began to play. The screen has great color and the size is good. For the price it is a great little pad, because my wife has a I-Pad and this does everything she can do but at 1/4 the cost. The only down side is battery life, but if you close the windows down it lasts a lot longer.

The ease of use is one of the best things about this tablet. The picture quality is outstanding and sound is perfect for individuals to use.

This tablet gives a lot of bang for the buck. It has good screen resolution, fair size, my daughter loves it, and it didn't break the bank.

We were looking for a decent but inexpensive tablet for our son, and we found it. This tablet is the perfect size and pretty durable, yet inexpensive to get him going in the tech world. Doesn't have a lot of storage space but does have a expansion slot so you can easily expand the memory, which I have. Android also has a pretty good Parental Control section that we were able to lock down and restrict certain things.

I bought 2 of these tablets because the price was so cheap and I needed something for my youngest child to play. I didnt want to purchase an expensive tablet until I knew my kid would be responsible enough to take care of one. I have to say this tablet makes him very happy and me as well because the price was right. He has no complaints at all with playing games and streaming videos. I think if I had to complain about one thing it would be the volumne isnt very loud, but thats about it.

This tablet doesn't have the rugged design and high resolution display of the higher end (Samsung) tablets, but for the price, it isn't bad! The ASUS ME70 has a nice sharp, bright display. It seems snappy when browsing websites and opening apps. The battery lasts about 2 days with light to moderate use, which I think is reasonable. The only downside is that charger is pretty wimpy and it takes 5-6 hours to charge from about 12% to full charge. If you are looking for a small tablet for web browsing, email, watching web videos or reading the occasional book, this is about all the tablet you will need.

Gave it to my boyfriend as a Christmas gift. So far he hasn't been able to put it down he added a keyboard and takes it everywhere with him. He liked the built in Wifi and that he can carry it instead of his laptop. The Asus memo tab is good for beginner tablet users like my boyfriend. The price was good and worth what I paid for to see him enjoy it.

wonderful starter or beginner tablet for my 7yoa nephew. Nice price, won't break the bank if he drops or loses it. Universal USB charging port is nice compared to the proprietary charging plug his previous Acer tab had. Nice to be able to plug into a 2.1amp in car dc charger for long road trips. Fast processor and great screen resolution. Good buy but hard to find a case for it.

I bought this tablet for my nephew for Christmas 2014. I opened it up and loaded it with games beforehand so I got a good sense of what the tablet had to offer. The cost vs. quality is pretty good. I can see where some commenters complained about the screen dimming when not looking directly at it, but it didn't bother me too much. The start up time is decent. The speed, while not as great as the Samsung Kid's Tablet that I purchased for my son, was reasonable. Over-all I'd say that this was a smart buy for the money and I'd buy one for myself if I ever needed a tablet in the same price range.

The good? Inexpensive tablet that surprisingly does a lot with ease. Relatively well constructed for the price point. The bad?.. Come on Asus, the battery connection in the unit is so poor that some cheap adhesive holds the battery in place. As a matter of fact if you were to wave goodbye to someone while holding this tablet..the battery might fall off...inside the unit!! So if you own this tablet and the mysterious question mark appears on screen. Chances are your battery disconected inside the unit. That's the only issue I have which I cured by tying the battery down properly...otherwise, pretty solid tablet. Screen resolution is relative to price paid so overall? Asus can do better with minor tweaks to this tablet!!!

It was lightly dropped once and then it stopped working. When it was plugged in to charge the battery would have a ? on it and it would not work. I had to open it up and plug the battery cord back in, which seems to be a known issue with the tablet. If that wasn't an issue then it would have gotten 5 stars.

I got this tablet for my mom, she's 62. So I needed something not too complicated or expensive for her to use, as she would be using it for games, and simple apps. This was perfect! She is always on it. lol So far, no problems. It's still performing great, and she's ALWAYS downloading games.

I purchased 3 of these for my children. Of the 3 I purchased, 2 failed within the first week: Batteries would not re-charge. To Best Buy's credit, they replaced both tablets, and went out of their way to help us with that. Once we got all of them working, the kids love them. The storage is very low though, and when my kids went nuts downloading everything they could, they did not get many games installed before some had to be removed so that they could play the couple of games they really enjoy.

Got this for a family member, and even though we had a problem with the first one, the replacement has been great. Great for reading books that you get from the library, iheart radio, and a quick browsing. Our only problem was the first had a glitch that didn't allow it to charge... Got a ? In the battery. Best Buy switched it out- no problem.

Wife is using it for games and email, grand daughter loves to play on it. Its durable and display and touch pad work great. Speeds are good, does what we need it to do at a really cheap price.

the tablet it self worked great until it stop working altogether. I had to return two within a 2 months period. I was told they maybe there was a bad batch sent to the store. When it is operating correctly it is great for my daughter no complaints from her. THX

This was a great purchase for my elderly parents. It is a simple tablet that allows them to easily do the basics like check emails, play simple games, get on Facebook, etc. Great value for the price.
