Customers are saying
Customers consistently note the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3090 24GB GDDR6X Strix Graphics Card's outstanding performance and excellent cooling capabilities, frequently praising its aesthetics and powerful GPU. However, the high price point and relatively large size are common concerns, along with some reports of fan noise at higher speeds. A few users also mentioned coil whine, though others reported no such issue.

Fantastic! easy plug and Play and worked great!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Fantastic! Highly recommend! All I did was unplug my old NVIDIA 2080 card, plug this one in, and it worked right away. The current NVIDIA drivers I already had, seamlessly integrated. Everything ran faster and looked better. No fussing around with anything else. Also, the noise complaints are highly over rated. It sits 3 feet away from me and I can barely hear it. When it does get spooled up at max fan speed, it is quieter than a small desk fan. When playing elder scrolls online with max settings, my GPU temp is running about 32 degrees.

Expensive But Powerful Card
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Been trying to get my hands on a RTX 3090 ever since they came out. A few weeks ago I was lucky enough to purchase one from Best Buy and replaced my Asus ROG Strix RTX 2070 Super. I'm not going to lie when I say this card runs circles around my old one. It is big, fast, powerful, and heavy! Thankfully I have a full tower Cooler Master Cosmos case so there was plenty of room to accommodate this GPU but even still getting the mounting screws aligned and in place was a challenge due to the modular case design as well as the bulk of the heat sink and fans. The card came to life and looks great along with my Asus ROG Crosshair Hero VIII motherboard. Compared to my RTX 2070 Super I find this card runs a bit warmer and the fans are somewhat louder. Not a big issue as I expected as much from this power hungry card. In gaming though, this is where this card really shines. In limited testing I find that this card is giving me around double the performance of my 2070 Super. That is saying a lot as the 2070 was a good performance card in my opinion. Personally I believe my system could handle any game I chose to play with little effort. Out of the box Asus has this card overclocked and pushed pretty much close to the limits. With some tweaking you could probably get a little more out of the core and there is some performance to be gained from increasing the memory clock but considering the performance out of the box I see little reason to push it harder. As far as would I recommend this card? If money is no object and you want to match your other Asus components then by all means I would recommend it. Otherwise I would probably suggest just dropping the coin on a founders edition card and tweaking the settings. Nvidia did a good job on their cooling solution and you could probably get the same results as this card while saving $600 in the process. The only other thing I would say is that the price on this card should not be $600 more that the FE card. Yes it looks nice with the ARGB lighting and Asus is giving you a warranty on an overclocked GPU from the factory but I honestly feel the premium would be more in line around the $2k mark. Sadly, that won't be happening any time soon considering the shortages currently affecting the market!

Runs well, Has coil Whine issues
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Expensive Card. If you want a card that runs well, then look no further. You will not get equivalent value from a straight $ perspective, but the quality is top end and the cooler and design is upper end. Runs cooler and quieter than better value 3090s. Coil whine is an issue with 3090's in general. my HX 1000 has minor coil whine. gonna try a bequiet 1200 and seasonic TX 1000 to see if if helps but not expecting miracles. Is not a great value, but if you need the VRAM, then it is a great card. I am an Asus/MSI person. I have had too much issues with Gigabyte over the years. Gigabyte always has looked good on paper, but I have had way too many issues over the years.

Good looking card but performs like other 3090s :D
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Overall one of, if not the, best looking and performing GPUs out there. You will want to get a GPU sag bracket as it is thicc and heavy. Mine ended up developing a lot of coil whine during gaming sessions at 144hz+. The coil whine is not loud enough to be disturbing but not low enough to where you don't notice it. My airflow case is about 2 feet away from me on my desk at ear level though, If this were further or even below ear level I doubt I would hear it. Gaming sessions everything stays cool. I think memory junction temps got up to 92 after a few hours at one point (but it did not stay at 92). Overall good card but not sure if it was worth the price tag for the aesthetics.

Absolute POWERHOUSE.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. No complaints. One of the very best GPUs on the market right now. Quite bit expensive for my taste but options were limited in terms of stock. Very aesthetic compared to other brands and it runs oh so d*mn well. I would've opted for 3080 just because I game casually and all this power is probably wasted on me but heck, I do not regret it. Solid 5/5.

Beast Mode...So far, So Good...
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This thing is ridiculous in size, weight, and most importantly, performance. As others have said, don't buy this if you're about value. It isn't there, BUT...if you have the money to burn, DO IT! It's quiet, fast, eats up every game I've thrown at it(including MSFS 2020), and it just keeps rolling. All of that aside, I'd strongly recommend using at least an 850w PSU. I went with 1000w just to be safe. This thing loves power. What a great purchase!

ROG Strix RTX 3090
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It goes great with my ASUS ROG build. It's powerful, fast and huge! So make sure you have a case that it can fit in & a power supply that can handle the power draw. Overall, a great purchase. I paid over $2000 for it during the GPU shortage but I believe it's down to or even below MSRP now.

The Ultimate Swiss Army Knife of Graphics Cards
||Posted . Owned for more than 2 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I mean, it's the ASUS ROG RTX 3090. It's amazing. I got this card in 2021 and am using it heading into 2025 and there's nothing it cannot do. Even with the 5000 series potentially being revealed soon, I have no reason to upgrade. I use it of course gaming, but I also do a lot of rendering in animation and its 24GB of VRAM is so helpful. Another incredible thing about the 3090 and 3090 TI graphics cards is that they are the last "gaming" cards that have NVLink compatibility. What this means is *more affordable VRAM expansion* for rendering jobs. Even though the 4090 is more powerful and makes more sense for gaming, the 3090 is, in my opinion, still better for rendering and animation for that fact alone.

This is a beast
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was able to get this card about a month ago thanks to Best Buy's anti-bot measures. You can run pretty much everything at 4k ultra detail and still get 60+FPS. The performance is second to none. The only downside is the price. Also be sure you have room in your case for this massive card and a large enough power supply to drive it.

Absolutely a beast
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.1. Got it manually: Best Buy is implementing a stong anti-bot purchase system, I don't believe there is a way for a bot to cop this. 2. Don't buy from scalpers: they are dropping down the price everyday cuz more and more GPU is being supplied to retailers. Unfortunately, the stock is still limited. Be patient, guys. 3. Great performance, great RGB: there is a reason why this Strix is so limited.

BUY THIS!!
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is an absolute beast of a card. Most people don't realize the Strix 3090 actually has a higher power limit than most other cards which translates directly to performance. All of the double power port cards have a power limit of 350 watts. The triple power cards, such as this one, have a power limit of 480 watts. Having the higher power limit translates to higher clocks and higher performance. You would think with a higher power limit the card would have higher temperatures but I'm not experiencing that at all. Temps remain in check, and I'm seeing a minimum of 1,000 more points in Port Royal as compared to other 350w limited 3090's. In summary, if you're in the market for a 3090 THIS is THE card to get, no question.

Overkill gaming performance
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Got this to be a bit more future proof as my 2080 was already maxing out its vram usage during some games. Really happy I did as this card is great and runs cyberpunk like a champ. Its not the quietest card, but then again its not designed to be.

Amazing performance
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The ASUS ROG-STRIX-RTX3090-O24G-GAMING has the fastest maximum clock speed available today for an air-cooled card (1890 MHz) and runs most games at insane frame rates. My RTX3090 has no coil whine at all and the 3 cooling fans actually come to a complete stop when the card is not being worked hard. When running Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 where the GPU is pegged at 100% load most of the time (all settings on "Ultra"), the GPU temperature hovers around 70 degC. Asus have done an excellent job with this card, I highly recommend it and would certainly buy one again myself if I was building another gaming PC.

Sag
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great card. Runs a lot hotter with more power over the more efficient Founder Edition. Not worth the 3 FPS. Also build quality isn't great. Held by 2 screw instead of 3 like the FE and the sag is unavoidable.

Amazing
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Its huge. Its fast. Its amazing. Its a large video card so make sure it fits your case. Make sure you have a powerful enough PSU and its best to run 3 seperate PCI-E power cables and not daisychain them. I upgraded from a Strix 1080 Ti and the performance increase is amazing. It was well worth the wait to be able to purchase one of these.

At this point in time can be used for Microsoft fl
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Fantastic video card. Pinnacle of the latest and greatest in 30X series. And, can’t get better than STRIX! Only 3090 At this point in time can be used for Microsoft flight simulator reasonably well. If you can get your hands on one of these bad boys, definitely do. Car is bulky, heavy, so Support rod is highly recommended over a new bracket to avoid SAG.
