I have yet to see this gpu fail on me. It handles like a dream and usually 60° C or below. A bit pricey but worth the price.

Super fast and low temps. This card handles everything thrown at it at max settings with great fps. It favors higher resolution, so keep that in mind.

This GPU works as far as gaming goes. Very well actually. However, its overpriced. I feel like this card cant even overclock enough to make the giant heatsink actually struggle. Yet somehow, when games get to about 90fps or so, the card starts almost screaming at you with coil whine. Theres no excuse for it at all at this price point. maybe if it was $300 cheaper I could recommend it (as well as some nice noise cancelling headphones).

Dear Remora,
We're sorry to hear that your Graphics Card has coil whine. All our products go through an intensive quality control testing process to ensure that customers get units that are in proper working condition. As long as the product functions correctly and without fault, any amount of coil whine is deemed acceptable and normal. Just like the car engine makes a sound when you press the gas.
Here are a few ways you can reduce coil whine:
1. Get a soundproof case 2. Limit the frame rate of your games 3. Lower the graphical quality of your games 4. Under-clock your GPU

Nvidia has done a great job with there drivers. Thr Energy consumption of the card is freat, also. It cools under heavy gaming load quire well. The issue that i have is that ASUS use this very bloated software, Amoury Crate, to control the rgb. It not very well optimized and there’s o way to integrate the card’s rfb with the motherboard software. Just a mess.

Built a PC 4-5 mo ths ago and originally went with a ROG Strix 4070 OC. That was a great card but decided to upgrade to the 4080 when there was a bit of a sale as a ROG Strix 4090 was untouchable. Great card and great upgrade. No coil whine and runs like a champ.

Great gpu, i get about 150 fps on mw2 on 4k max settings. And dlss on.
Had 3080 ftw3 and this was nice upgrade. But also got it so my wife can use my 3080.
But in corsair 4000D it barely fits, im getting a 5000D to get more room.

I had some issues with quality control on this graphics card coming bent on the grill so I ended up returning it for another one but the graphics card is fantastic but I decided I wanted to go all in and got the 4090 version. I upgraded from the ASUS 1080 Ti and let me tell you, I didn’t realize I was lacking performance on my old card since it still worked pretty well but once I took the 4080 for a drive, I could see what I was missing. I run a 4K tv and a 4K monitor on the card with no issues.

Great Graphics card, super quiet, cool RGB, but Super over priced! $1500 + is wild for not even the top of the line graphics card. AMD competition the RX7900xtx out performs it expect for ray tracing but who really uses ray tracing. It’s Huge also will not fit in Most mid size cases

not sure about some of the lowering of stars... but i will give it a 5-star due to it works 1000% better than my 3080 ti did... 120FPS is easy to achieve on most games with 4k enabled... 120FPS is guaranteed if you are doing 1440P. have got 2 friends to buy the same card and they love it.

Honestly this thing isnt all that. Youre better off buying a founders edition and saving 400 bucks. Any extreme overclocker is gonna buy the 4090 so i dont really know who this is for.

Runs cool, average Temps 50-55C. Is fast (obviously), is stable. Also has the same cooler as the ASUS ROG Strix 4090, so this 4080 is basically outfitted with a cooler that is better than a spec cooler.
