Did This Fry My Mothboard?

I decided to upgrade with this card, using a third party power cable. After installation the PC wouldn't boot. The MB was fried and had to be replaced. Did this card do it? I dont know, but I returned for refund and kept the 3089.

I know it will be great, however it is not the card you think you are buying. They have it listed wrong. I picked it up yesterday and it is the OC edition, not what they have listed on the website. I just want you to know what you are buying because Best Buy doesn't know what they are selling.

System: I912900K 32gb DDR5 @ 5200 2TB M.2 + other storage drives LG 38" curved monitor 3840x1600 @ 175mhz ASUS Strix Z690 MB Did not need 4090 for this monitor. Games 20 deg. cooler than 3080! (low 50's vs low 70's). PCMARK time spy 25,654 Small amount of coil whine that does not bother at all Great card, will use for couple years. Wil see what 5000's bring
