Customers are saying

Customers commend the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090 Strix Graphics Card for its exceptional performance, impressive cooling capabilities keeping temperatures low, and high frame rates, resulting in smooth gameplay. Many appreciate the build quality and quiet operation, although some note the card's large size and high price point. A few users mentioned experiencing coil whine, but this seems to vary between units. Overall, the card is praised for its power and performance.

Big chonky thicc boi for all the gaming frames. Crank this bad boy up in any game and it runs cool. This thing is seriously YUUGE though, make sue your case will fit it. But it clocks high and runs really cool under full load. 3090s had some issues with hot memory with the gddr6x, but they have made significant improvements in cooling the memory on the 40 series with gddr6x. Core and memory both sit around 60-70 degrees c max no matter what I throw at it. Make sure you have a good quality power supply. I'd recommend 1000w or above for the whole system to keep this thing topped off.

Coupla inches longer than a 1080 strix. Had an older 1500w psu circa 2008 hehe. You really need a new one because of all the wiring changes. Originally had a TUF but the HDMI wouldnt work. This one np at all. HDMI, Display Port all work fine. Runs cooler under load than at idle. guess i need to work on fan curves for a bit. Got a 10900 cpu in 2020 been trying to get a video card since then. Life is short just get one. It will run anything this side of a holodeck. So Cons it will peg your epeen douche meter. But just a PC master race cross you will have to bear at 150 fps on RTX psycho settings. Honestly value is fair to poor but will last significantly longer than the same spent on hookers and blow.

First of all, 4 stars because of price - would have been 5 stars Asus didn't command another $400 for this vs the competition.. However, let it be known Asus has put a massive vapor chamber on this product which costs more than your regular cooling heatsink. Also, the quality of VRMs being used here are top of the line - this GPU is meant is built for 24/7 and longevity - which is why I bought it. I plan to keep the 4090 for beyond 2 years before considering an upgrade. Outside of that, there was some noisy coil whine at the start but now i'm not hearing it so I believe the coils/vrms settled in.. The card is dead silent even while driving 400+ watts during gaming for hours on end and the temps never go past 60c, this is a crazy quiet and cold card - Asus nailed it - and you're going to pay for it.

Definitely overkill for gaming, even at 4K. This is 100% an enthusiast's GPU. I really only recommend if you dont have a budget for your PC and want the absolute best performance. If you're looking to get into pc gaming, you can have a great experience building the entire thing for less than this ONE item alone.

This card is a monster physically and technologically. Every game I play now is set to ultra and it doesn’t skip a beat. When Tim says, “more power” this is what he’s talking about. It’s pricey but I don’t see a need to upgrade for many years.

Exactly as expected. This thing is a beast. It can handle all my games and rendering without making a peep. Also seems to take less power than expected compared to my old 2070 super. FYI it's a chonker. Make sure you check the measurement so you don't have space issues with your case.

Amazing 4090 ruined by coil whine!

I always liked ROG products but their GPUs have been always plagued with terrible coil whine noise. I thought I should give them another try for this 4090 and was hoping they have addressed it but the answer is nope! It runs cool and quiet (you can barely hear the fans under load) however the quiet is ruined by terrible screeching coil whine noise. I know you rarely may find Asus GPUs without coil whine but it is not what you can count on when you buy an Asus highend GPU. I have had Gigabyte, and PNY 4090s and they had zero coil whine noise. I hope Asus can figure out (as others have) how to make cards without coil whine. Even the founders edition has less coil whine than this card that sells at a 25% premium over the FE. Other than this issue, it is a well built card.

This card is amazing! Extremely powerful and even overclocked wont reach its full potential! Just make sure you get a 1000W or more power supply for it and the new style 600W cable for it. This is the new 1080TI that will be a beast for years to come yet. A+ highly recommend!
