This computer desktop is quite lovely for anyone who is a computer person like me. I was looking for a fast and easy tonuse computer and this is the holy grail to me. This desktop was actually super simple to set up right out of the box which I love. This desktop comes with a wired keyboard and mouse. It only took me maybe a half an hour to plug in and set up in no time. Plug in and turn on your monitor in just seconds the desktop is asking if you want to set up and it's ready to go. After setting up this computer is all ready to go. Comes with certain applications like Spotify and disney which are an absolute must for me. This desktop is super quick on thinking and ready to move in seconds. This desktop is great for a office junky who needs everything at their fingertips. Using word on this is great and easy. This desktop would be great for even a college student who needs to be writing papers or just for searching up topics. You can also use the MyAsus in the desktop to help customize your product which I found quite helpful because customer service is right there if you need help. Great in finding the best virus protection right at your fingertips. Fast acting and easy to use computer that I absolutely love using everyday. Great accessory to my new computer room.

    Good Decision - Good Desktop

I purchased this desktop to replace a Dell Inspiron 3650 Desktop I purchased in 2017. It still works, albeit finicky at times, and I will continue using it until it goes belly up. Regarding the ASUS I decided to go that direction since there was a sale and I liked that it had the Intel Core i5-12400, 512GB SSD and Windows 11 Home Edition. That was a significant improvement over what I considered to be a comparable Dell model. The only item missing was a built in CD/DVD drive so I purchased an external drive for about $40.00 and connected it via USB. I successfully installed all of my software that I am using on my old desktop (some of which was old music software that is no longer marketed and the file formats are proprietary). I have a huge amount of work I have done over many years and many desktops that I just couldn't stand to lose. All went well and all of this software runs under Windows 11. That was a relief. I think the main difference is simply speed. It boots up very quickly where as my Dell allowed enough extra time to get a cup of coffee, a bathroom break and a couple of phone calls. The included keyboard had USB connects and the back of the Desktop had two PS2 ports supposedly for that purpose. No biggie I just thought it strange to see these ports on the back of the new ASUS desktop. Gimme a couple more USB's instead. I opted to get a wireless keyboard and mouse so with the CD/DVD reader/burner there went my savings. Summary is that this is a very fast desktop and, once I get used to Windows 11, I will be up with the times or at least on the trailing end of technology.

Very fast and very quiet. Boots up amazingly fast. Had to remove Windows 11 and install Windows 10 in order for my Quickbooks 2017 and my Canon imageclass printer to work. Other than that, its a great office computer. Its my second one. I've had good luck with Asus and recommend it highly.

I upgraded to this tower from my 13 year old tower. I added items from my old system. I added a 700 watt power supply, a 32 GB RAM, and RTX 3060 graphics card. I upgraded to a 2 TB NVMe ssd. It is night and day from my old 13 year old system. There doesn’t seem to be any bottlenecks when I game. Everything runs smooth and speedy. I love this tower.

A Solid Choice for Work and Play, if you upgrade

The ASUS Performance Desktop is a solid choice for both work and play. It’s powered by a 12th Gen Intel Core i5-12400 processor, which provides powerful eight-core, eight-way processing performance. While it may not be the most powerful processor on the market, it’s part of Intel’s newer 12th generation line. This means it benefits from the latest architectural improvements, offering better performance and efficiency compared to older generations. The processor isn’t that powerful, but it is at least the newer architecture of the 12th, 13th, and 14th gen processors. The desktop comes with 8GB of DDR4 RAM, which is ample for most tasks. It allows for smooth multitasking, so you can run multiple applications and browser tabs all at once without any lag. However, if you’re a heavy gamer or use memory-intensive applications, you might find the 8GB of RAM a bit limiting. But don’t worry, this model has 2x DDR4 U-DIMM slots and the memory can be upgraded up to 64GB. Storage-wise, it’s equipped with a 512GB M.2 NVMe PCIe 4.0 SSD. This type of storage is known for its speed, so you can expect faster start-up times and quick access to your files and applications. In terms of connectivity, it has 2 USB Type-A ports for high-speed devices and 4 USB 2.0 ports for other devices and accessories. It also features next-generation wireless connectivity and a Gigabit LAN port for wired networks. However, some users have mentioned the lack of USB-C ports. The ASUS Performance Desktop also comes with Windows 11 pre-installed, offering a refreshed look and new features compared to its predecessor. One of the standout features of this desktop is its upgradability. Its standard components, such as the RAM and storage, can be easily upgraded as your needs evolve. This makes it a great investment for both now and the future. Whether you’re planning to do more intensive tasks, gaming, or just want to future-proof your system, this desktop has got you covered. However, there was one thing that was not so great about the buying experience. The Best Buy product page stated that it came with a Nvidia RTX 3060. But when I drove two hours to get it, the product in store did not have the graphics card. I had the store employees verify the product page, but they stated product pages can be inaccurate. I tried to get them to include a 3060 with the sale, but they pointed to the disclaimer on the webpage about inaccuracies. However, they did offer $100 off the price, which was a nice gesture. The look of the case is very basic, but functional and large enough for upgrades down the road when the time comes. Its simplicity is part of its charm. It’s functional, unassuming, and blends well with any setup. More importantly, the case is large enough to accommodate future upgrades. This is a crucial feature for tech enthusiasts who like to tweak and upgrade their systems over time. Whether it’s adding more RAM, installing a larger SSD, or even upgrading the graphics card, the spacious case makes these modifications much easier. Overall, the ASUS Performance Desktop offers good value for its price. It’s a reliable machine for everyday tasks and can handle more demanding applications if needed. If you’re looking for a desktop that offers a balance of performance and affordability, this could be a great option for you. Just be sure to double-check the specifications in-store if you’re planning to pick it up from a physical location.

This seems to be an excellent computer. It is much faster than the 6 year old model with an AMD chip that I replaced. It runs very quietly and has Windows 11 which replaced the Windows 10 on the previous computer. I had it installed and set up by Geek Squad and they did an excellent job.

I'm in love with this desktop....it boots in about 30 seconds and is ready for action immediately. Coupled with the great deal that Best Buy offered on it, this is one of the best purchases that I have made in a long, long time.

+ does everything my old computer did, and a bit faster. - Has Intel UHD graphics that shares system memory, but the ASUS site shows only Nvidia graphics for this model. I got this computer after my old one got a lightning strike. I use it for general communications, internet access, TV recording, and video processing. It does everything the old computer did, and faster, because of newer technology components. I noticed that since the graphics shares system memory, whenever I'm doing video intensive operations, it runs out of memory fast. There are no errors, because memory management appears to be very good. It simply takes longer to do operations when memory usage goes above 95%. Since the unit came with 8GB RAM, it would do better if upgraded to 16GB. Apparently Win11 is much more of a memory hog than Win10.

No problems so far, not that difficult to move all my data from the old to this new computer. It's very fast 5-7 times as fast as my 7year old computer. Win 11 was not that difficult to get up and running.

It's a prebuilt without tasteless ugly Close Encounters of the Third Kind levels of RGB lighting or headache inducing proprietary BS like the PSU/connector you'll find in every single Dell/HP/whatever else on the market. Also even though 8GB of RAM is a little stingy, at least it's two sticks for the dual channel performance boost. Wish the CPU support was easier to find and confirm. This PC is also sold with a 12700, but what about a 12900? Would that work as an affordable upgrade a few years from now?
