I bought this device because of the OLED display and the fact that it included the lighted keyboard with a trackpad and back stand.
The keyboard feel is good, but it is not practical, hard to store, carry around, the whole thing is too heavy, not sturdy for lap usage, you must set it up on a desk or flat sturdy surface, it needs a lot of space, this setup won't work on airplane tray. The PC/Tablet portion is super heavy, it has huge bezels and the display is not color calibrated at all. Colors are super vibrant and punchy, if all you doing is looking at graphics it looks amazing, but if you watching movies, people skin tones look like burned bricks and there is no way to adjust other then the super old windows color controls, or the different ICC profiles which do nothing, everything looks super yellow and super red. Not recommended. You better off with a regular laptop for work, and a regular tablet for media consumption. With this kind of money, you better off getting an Apple MacBook Air, More portable, more power, better battery life, and for sure 100% color accuracy.

Detachable laptops are back! The Asus ProArt PZ13 is a very capable machine that doubles as a work and entertainment powerhouse. Want to get work done? - use the keyboard. Want to chill back and relax with some video streaming? - detach the keyboard and use it as a tablet. This device stands out with its impressive specs and absolutely gorgeous display.
Connectivity: Since this is a slim device you aren’t getting all the ports, but I do appreciate the inclusion of 2 USB-C ports and even a SD/MicroSD card reader. The ports themselves are really fast (USB 4) so transfering files was a breeze. You can also hook this thing up to some external displays.
Display: So close to being perfect! This is a 13.3 inch 3K OLED panel and the quality is absolutely stunning. The size being what it is makes this perfectly usable as a tablet without going overboard. In terms of brightness it gets to around 500-550 nits so it’s decently viewable outdoors. Watching movies on this thing has been the best experience I’ve had on a mobile device like this, especially at night when you can really notice the deep true blacks. The only flaw with this display is when you actually have to navigate around it as it’s capped at 60hz, I feel like I would have preferred a perhaps lower quality LCD display but with 120hz. You get used to everything though.
Keyboard: It's detachable so it doesn’t offer keys like a number pad, but I found it more than sufficient for my needs. There’s many shortcuts that are clearly labeled. In terms of typing experience it’s pretty good but nothing crazy as I found the travel distance to be a bit too short which results in it feeling a bit mushy. The trackpad is pretty cool - you can adjust the volume and the brightness of the display using gestures that are easy to understand. I personally always hook up a bluetooth mouse instead of using a trackpad, but it’s nice that it has extra functionality that actually works like it should. The keyboard also folds really easily and flat into the tablet itself if you wish to travel with it.
Speakers: The speakers are good but nothing outstanding. For most things you will be listening to the volume is plenty, but lacks much depth and bass. It gets a little better when you listen to Dolby Atmos supported content though.
Cameras and microphone: The front camera is pretty good for the occasional snap and especially any video calls - I found that my face looks very clear even in not so good lighting conditions. I can’t say the same for the back camera - It’s fine for the occasional document snap but it’s not clear and lacks any true auto-focus. When in video calls the microphones picked up my voice very clearly even when I was sitting far away, so I’m impressed. Just make sure you’re in a quiet room as they can pick up a bit of background noise.
Battery life: First off in terms of standby drain I only lost 3% overnight which is a pretty good result. For the actual battery life with light-medium usage consisting of a lot of web browsing, streaming, and document editing I got about a day and a half of usage. This is all on the balanced power setting. I found that the battery indicator that estimates how much life you have left to be pretty inaccurate as it will constantly fluctuate between estimates by a couple of hours, so I would ignore that and just go based on what your usage usually is. All in all I'm very confident and happy about the battery life.
Performance: Powered by a ARM architecture Snapdragon X Plus processor paired with 16GB of RAM this thing is very fast and handles most tasks with ease. I say most because if you’re using anything that’s optimized for ARM then this thing is a dream to use, but anything that’s not yet optimized either runs emulated or doesn’t run at all. Biggest thing for me right now is gaming as a lot of games just straight up won’t work. This device wasn’t created for gaming in mind, but I was hoping I could play some lighter titles and sadly most of them don’t work. This WILL get better over time though as more programs become optimized.
Storage: You get a very speedy 1TB SSD that opens programs very fast. Given how much space you get it’s also perfect for uploading any documents/projects onto and not running out of space for a long time.
Build quality: I have no issues with build quality or any QC concerns. This thing is just solid which I have come to expect from Asus. It’s also IP52 and military grade tested, so bringing it outdoors in various conditions shouldn’t be a problem.
Software: Lastly I wanted to touch on Windows 11 as I found it quite buggy unfortunately. This can improve over time with updates, but as of now I am getting a couple issues, the main one being having to disconnect/connect the device multiple times to force either laptop or tablet mode instead of it switching automatically like it should. Besides the bugs everything works alright granted you’re using ARM optimized apps as I said earlier in the performance section. In terms of AI this comes with Copilot and I’m honestly not one of those people that’s sold on AI, but I did find using Copilot pretty fun and much better than just googling everything.
All in all I highly recommend the Asus ProArt PZ13! It’s a device that is very capable out of the box, but which I believe will only get better over time as more apps are optimized for ARM.
Pros:
* OLED display
* Performance
* Storage
* Battery life
* Microphone
* Build quality
Cons:
* 60hz
* Buggy Windows 11

Make Outstanding Art Anywhere & On The Go!

ASUS has really been on a roll lately! This is the third product from them (and I bought a fourth - the ASUS Pen 2.0 afterwards), that has been absolutely outstanding. That isn't to say that they have been PERFECT (nothing ever is), but the ASUS ProArt PZ13 isn't just a great art tablet/laptop, it's just a great computer all around. Any issues I've had have been some minor software hiccups (which has plagued ALL of the ARM laptops lately), and a few 'I wish ASUS would change this' kind of things.
There is SO MUCH to like about the ProArt PZ13 (from here on out, just the PZ13), here are some of my favorite things:
1. Style: This encompasses everything from the color choices to the design of the tablet itself. It looks like the perfect companion for a photographer/videographer on the go. The Moss Green keyboard cover looks great and feels even better. The chamfered edges of the tablet (the corners basically) are reminiscent of the lenses of my old DSLR camera. The finish on both the body of the tablet portion as well as the cover and keyboard is really nice and does a great job resisting/hiding fingerprints (the keyboard keys, not so much).
2. Build: As a former military officer, I laugh when things are labelled at 'Military Grade' since most military gear is made by the lowest bidder and failed a lot when you needed it most. In this case, ASUS is delivering what people expect when they hear military grade, except that they did it with style (see point 1). This is not some waifish tablet that feels like you can snap it in half with a slight flex of the body. The tablet itself is SOLID but comfortable to hold and to lug around. The IP52 rating is nice to have especially if you might be out in some moist environments like the Pacific Northwest. I on the other hand live in SoCal and would like those numbers to be reversed if they could be. I don't have water but I have A LOT of dust. This is of course very hard to do on a device that has to breathe in outside air to stay cool. Speaking of which, the intakes/vents on the PZ13 are really very cool, especially the one on the back that I assume feeds directly to the CPU.
3. Performance: The Snapdragon X Plus on the PZ13 is incredibly, shall I say, 'snappy'? Everything I have thrown at it so far over the last week from Photoshop edits of huge images, to AI requests just for giggles, to actually playing a brand new game from Steam (not a AAA shooter or flight sim mind you)! The game Xenonauts 2 is the latest version of the modern take on X-COM, which has been one of my favorite games since it came out on floppy disks back in the day. Steam and the game, even though it is still in early release, have run flawlessly. Like I said before, there hasn't been anything yet that I would use on a day-to-day basis that has even caused the PZ13 to so much as stutter. Impressive!
4. Screen: Beautiful, bright, and responsive! The 3K Lumina OLED screen is beautiful to behold and even nicer to work with while editing photos. It is also equally responsive to either touch or the Pen 2.0 (which is NOT included with this package and was bought separately). The colors are rich and vibrant and I appreciate the ability to switch between a wide range of color profiles pretty easy which makes working for both print and screen a lot easier.
5. Input: The keyboard is a whole lot better than it has any right to be. I think it is definitely the best removable keyboard I have used yet to this day. It may not match those of a full laptop or desktop, but for how thin it is, it is incredibly responsive and nice to type on. The Pen 2.0 is also pretty cool and I'm having to get the hang again of using a pen with Adobe apps but it's coming back like riding a bicycle. I appreciate as a left-hander that the pen loop is on the CORRECT side of the screen/case.
6. Software: ASUS makes my favorite gaming hub software with the Armory Crate center and the Creator Hub on the PZ13 is also great (if not as tricked out as Armory Crate, though I think that one gets a lot more attention). The other thing I appreciate is that the rest of the computer is not bogged down with a ton of junk. Heck, I think I might have like a few more art centric software platforms that ASUS had vetted to be on here from the get go. I did have one software issue and I'll go into that below.
7. Battery Life: One word - STUPENDOUS! I did a full charge upon unboxing the PZ13 and I'm still running on that charge despite over a week's worth of work and play. I am absolutely gobsmacked at how well the PZ13 manages/sips power. Now granted, I'm not editing video, nor am I playing some intensive FPS shooter games, but I've been using this thing for what I want it for day-in and day-out for the last week and I'm still in the low 40% range for the battery. That's stupendous.
8. Miscellaneous: There are just so many little things that I have noticed about the PZ13 that have led me to feel that ASUS put a lot of time and care into the design and production of the this device. Most everything run smoothly and both feels and looks good while doing it. I don't have enough time or column space to go into it all, but the PZ13 is made even better by all the other various things it does well.
Things I wish ASUS would improve upon:
1. Power Brick: FOLDING PRONGS ARE NOT OPTIONAL! In this day and age, any USB-C power brick should have folding prongs, especially if it is for a device that is meant to be packed in a bag and lugged around. As it is, I'm not using the one that ASUS provided, but another one that has prongs that fold away.
2. Pen Loop: While I appreciate that it is on the correct side, I wish that it did not interfere with the ports there as much when the pen is in the loop. Also, I actually wish there were a better way to hold/attach the Pen 2.0 to the computer. The loop is a bit too tight, especially with the slide-'cap' that covers the power port. I can't get this thing out of the loop without worrying that I'm going to mess up either the pen or the loop. Magnets? Integrated dock? I don't know, I'll let the pros at ASUS figure it out.
3. Software: Don't put the software on the computer if it isn't ready yet. I have been unable to get CapCut to load on the PZ13. This is an issue since ASUS makes a big deal about getting six months of an upgraded membership. Neither the installed version works, nor the versions downloaded from the CapCut site or Microsoft store. Not sure why, but I tried for several hours over a few days to get it to work but was unable to do so. I'll try again in the future, but I don't do a ton of video anyway so it isn't THAT big of a deal for me.
4. Keyboard Ergonomics: For a keyboard that has as good of type-feel, I wish that there was a way to get a bit of lift to the rear of the keyboard. I've seen some other keyboard cases that have an additional magnet either at the back of the keyboard or in the connecting 'strap' that does a secondary attachment that pulls the back of the keyboard up a smidge. This is completely a 'wish list' thing and is not a deal breaker in the slightest.
Conclusions: Sorry for coming off as an ASUS fanboy, but frankly I think they deserve it. I have been SO HAPPY with the form and function of my ASUS collection from this year that I'm jazzed to see what they come up with next! How about some video glasses that beam the image onto my retinas? Maybe a Holodeck? Nah, no Holodeck, I'd never get anything done. As it is, the ProArt PZ13 is making it a lot easier to get things done on the go and I'm super happy that I have it! Thanks ASUS and Best Buy!

Very sad experience with the store in buckhead.
I went to pick an item that was listed for 849.99 for days before and after I went back to show them the item I ordered, the associate moved the item in front of me stating it was misplaced and I asked how come I was never told that in the first place and I ordered the item waited for days before I went back?
To my surprise the store manager told me that indeed they misplaced the item, He said it’s my duty to contact customer service to help me match the price of the item.
I told him that who is better placed to do that more than you as a manager, He replied it’s my problem and he can’t offer anything for me with a very rude way.
I felt ashamed for even showing up in that store.
Stay away from this stores. They are not doing anything to help you out and they will never will with a management like that

The ASUS ProArt tablet is an awesome piece of technology! This product has been a joy to use, and is absolutely incredible functioning as both a tablet and a full-fledged computer.
Unboxing the ASUS ProArt tablet is a nice experience, and every component is well-organized and protected during transit. I was impressed with how much thought went into these details, and it truly makes you feel as if the item you have received is high quality. Once you have the product in your hands, this feeling is confirmed as every piece feels exceptionally well made.
Since this tablet is not exactly a laptop computer, there are multiple pieces that make up the whole package. The main piece is the tablet itself, which can be used independently of the included keyboard and trackpad. The keyboard/trackpad combo attaches magnetically, and it is very easy to connect and disconnect as needed. There is also a protective back cover that magnetically attaches to the rear of the tablet. Along with providing some protection for the heart of the device, this piece also has an adjustable flap that is used as a stand for desktop use. When this stand is in place and the unit is set on a table, this essentially turns the ProArt into a desktop PC.
Every component is made well, from the tablet to the additional pieces that allow it to work as a PC. The tablet feels robust and perfectly machined; this simply looks and feels like a high-quality piece of technology. The back cover has a slightly rugged feel and seems like it would provide some decent protection for the tablet and its rear camera. The keyboard is surprisingly good for a detachable unit, with nice travel in the keys, and it's fully backlit as well. The trackpad doesn't disappoint either, with a nice firm click and a smooth operation of the mouse and various gestures. While I typically prefer a true laptop over a combo machine like this, I have to say that ASUS has done a phenomenal job of making everything feel high-end and work seamlessly.
Once I got everything set up, I was excited to test out this sleek-looking piece of hardware. In "desktop" mode (with keyboard/trackpad and stand set up), this feels like a nice 13.3" laptop. When you remove the tablet from the keyboard, it goes into "tablet" mode, which looks very similar to your standard windows OS, yet it's all being operated via the touchscreen. I liked this mode as a virtual keyboard would appear as needed; the orientation would automatically adjust based on which way I was holding the tablet; the touch screen was extremely responsive; and I was able to carry it around and do things like watch videos while sitting on the sofa.
That being said, you can still use the touchscreen while it’s in desktop mode. I tend to forget this and only use one or the other (keys/trackpad or touch), but it is cool that you have these options at all times.
During my testing, everything ran smoothly and efficiently. This tablet uses a new Snapdragon X Processor, 16 gigs of RAM, and a 1TB SSD, meaning I never really found any tasks that were too much for this computer to handle. Web browsing, streaming content, writing and editing papers, and light gaming were my go-to tasks, and I had a great time seeing what the ProArt is capable of. Overall this is an impressive PC that can be used for productive tasks, and entertainment as well.
I liked using some of the Copilot+ features, and if you're into AI and what it can do, this machine is definitely set up to work with it. Since it runs Windows 11, I found that daily use was a breeze, and is easy to work with and set up if you’re familiar with any modern Windows products.
There are some really cool features on the ProArt tablet that I feel I need to mention. First of all, the beautiful OLED screen. The resolution is spectacular, and the visuals simply pop with color and definition. This is by far one of the best screens I've seen on any laptop or tablet, hands down.
ASUS states that the ProArt has a 70 Wh battery; I’m not exactly sure what that means, but in my real-world testing, battery life has been great. The included charger is large, robust, and charges the tablet quickly and efficiently as well.
Another great feature is the inclusion of useful ports. No PC would be complete without these, and this machine is equipped with 2 USB-C ports and a Micro SD card reader.
I also think that the rugged capability of this product is worth mentioning. It's dust and water-rated and has been tested in extreme hot and cold temperatures. While I doubt that I’ll ever take mine to the Sahara desert, it is nice to know that the ProArt can withstand some serious temperature fluctuations.
The ProArt tablet has cameras on the front (screen side) and a 13 MP camera on the rear. I like that this takes advantage of face unlocking in Windows, as it made my time testing and using the tablet easier and more seamless.
All in all, I think that ASUS has simply knocked it out of the park with the ProArt PZ13. I wasn’t sure of what I would think of a device that can be used as both a tablet and a laptop, but after spending time with it, I see how this truly allows you to get the best of both worlds. While this tablet is exceptional to begin with, the inclusion of Copilot+ AI features puts it a step ahead of similar PCs on the market. If you're looking for a go-anywhere, do-anything tablet that doubles as a PC, the ASUS ProArt PZ13 should be at the top of your list!

The ProArt PZ13 is ASUS’s latest soiree into the Copilot+ branded devices using the new Snapdragon platform and is their take on the new Microsoft Surface Pro.
ASUS touts the PZ13 as a “Detachable Laptop” better known to you and me as a tablet with a kickstand and included keyboard. Regardless of what you call it, the PZ13 is a very capable computing device.
The tablet comes out of the box with the new Snapdragon(R) X Plus - X1P42100 - Qualcomm(R) Oryon(TM) CPU equipped with eight 64-bit ARM Oryon cores with a frequency of up to 3.4 GHz, 30 MB of cache memory, an Adreno graphics unit with a computing power of 1.7 Tflops, as well as a Hexagon NPU module. You get 16 GB 8448 MHz LPLLR5 Memory and 1 TB SSD storage. This all comes in a 3 pound 5.5 oz, IP52 rated 13 inch package with a snap on keyboard and 2880x1800 OLED display.
Connectivity: There are two USB4 type-C ports, one is under a protective cover that also houses an SD card reader that comes with an included Micro-SD card adapter in case you lost the one that came with your Micro-SD card. The downside is that the memory card sticks out of the reader far enough that you can not close the protective cover. You have to remove the SD card to close the cover. There is no 3.5mm headphone jack. You also get Wi-Fi 7 for those on the cutting edge. The PZ13 connected to my USB-C dock and was more than able to run my external 4K monitor without issue.
In Geekbench, I got a single-core score of 2384, just slightly higher than the X Elite in my Surface 7 laptop and a multi-core core score of 10,710 which is reflective of the four fewer cores than the X Elite which I got 13,124. Also note, there is no difference in score between battery and being plugged in.
Setup was a typical Windows setup and took about 15 minutes. There was no need for any major updates out of the box just yet, your mileage may vary.
Keyboard: Unlike the Surface Pro, the PZ13 comes with a keyboard cover. This is a great feeling keyboard with lots of key travel. The touch pad however, is just ok. It is of the diving board variety but does have tap response. I would rather see a haptic touchpad. There are three shortcut zones for display brightness, volume and forward & rewind.. There is also a shortcut for the ASUS ScreenExpert which allows you to configure and manage your applications across different desktops and connected displays. All of these shortcuts worked as expected and duplicated Function Key actions. On the downside, the keyboard does not have any height/angle adjustments, it must sit flat on your desktop. It also must remain connected to work. There is no battery or bluetooth connectivity. My other criticism on the keyboard is the footprint it requires. Unlike a regular laptop where the display is connected to the keyboard by the hinge, this keyboard requires the magnetic kickstand on the back of the tablet to use. To better judge the distance, this takes the whole depth of a standard TV tray - and don’t even think of using this on your lap. The kickstand attaches to the rear of the device magnetically and provides infinite adjustment to angle the tablet and it goes almost flat providing an easier angle to write on.
Display: The 16:10 OLED display is a thing of beauty. Not only do you get vibrant colors and inky blacks, you can customize the color to your needs or liking with the ASUS Splendid software. There is some reflectivity in the screen but it is viewable in direct sunlight.
Cameras: There is a 5mp front facing IR camera that works great with Teams and Windows Hello is the fastest I’ve seen so far. A 13MP rear camera completes the set. I did notice quite a bit of shutter lag on the rear camera. It takes an OK photo but I see it getting used more for ingesting documents rather than that family holiday portrait. Another issue I found when holding the tablet in portrait mode to use the rear camera is that my hand covers the fan exhaust outlet.
Pen: The PZ13 has support for pen input but unfortunately does not include one. The good thing here is that it uses MPP (Microsoft Pen Protocol) which means you do not need to use a proprietary device. I tested this out using a Microsoft Slim Pen 2 that I have and it worked as expected. Tracking was spot on and lag was insignificant. One thing I don’t care for is the pen storage. This seems like an afterthought by just gluing a cloth loop to the rear of the device. The Surface has a slot in the keyboard and the Apple Pencil attaches magnetically.
Audio: The speakers on the PZ13 sound very good and they have support for Dolby Atmos. Volume is excellent and can be boosted via the MyASUS Smart Amplifier. The three-mic array sounded excellent on my teams calls and comes with AI noise cancellation and the ability to choose from single person or conference room settings.
Platform: The Snapdragon chips utilize ARM architecture, similar to Apple’s M series chips. Just like Apple, applications that are written for this platform work best, however, Microsoft has designed their PRISM translation layer so that X86 applications will still run. Microsoft says this should be transparent but some programs like Adobe Premiere Pro which just became available on this platform do not run at their peak performance. Microsoft Office, which is compatible with ARM architecture runs flawlessly, as does Photoshop.
Battery life: With general usage, I’ve been getting about 10-12 hours of use per charge and it takes about three hours to come back to a full charge. I did get a message in the ProArt Creator Hub when using another USB-C charger that it was a slower charger but it was rated higher than the included 65 watt charger. While the device did charge from it, the application did not recognize the device to be plugged in with it. The tablet acknowledges you when it's plugged in vs on battery but according to the scores on Geekbench, there is no difference between power sources.
Thermals: You can choose from several operating modes to control performance vs battery life. These choices also control how frequently you may hear the cooling fan. When spinning at full speed, the fan is quite audible but not all that distracting.
AI: Overall, I am not a fan of AI, I feel it is still in its infancy and is a solution looking for a problem. That said, Live translations is a really neat feature and it does a really good job of translating into english. The Windows Studio Effects is a great addition to my video when using Teams with two background blurs and various artistic effects. Rumor has it that the next build of Windows 24H2 will have updates to many of the AI programs as well.
ASUS also includes a couple of AI applications. The Media Hub StoryCube is great for organizing your media library and the AI Noise Cancelation for removing background noises in meetings and calls. The ProArt Creator Hub is the application that allows you to customize the power and display settings and has a handy dashboard to show you memory and storage utilization. Also included is a free six-month trial for the CapCut video editor unfortunately, this was unusable due to crashing. From what I can see, it is very similar to Final Cut Pro in it's appearance and usage. Hopefully an update to the software will cure the crashing.
Overall I really like the ASUS PZ13 but I still question the viability of Windows on a tablet. Unlike an iPad or phone where the OS is specific to tablet/finger use, Windows is a desktop OS built to be used with a mouse/trackpad. We are forcing ourselves to use these fantastic products in formats they were not designed for. Having the pen helps ease the transition from desktop to tablet. Like all new tech, I expect more applications to be written for the ARM/Windows platform so patients are in order here. The proof of this is Adobe. When the ARM/Snapdragon processors became available just a couple of months ago, Premiere Pro wouldnt even install. Now it runs via PRISM and they are working to make it fully ARM compatible. This is a rugged little tablet and I recommend it to anyone looking for a small device for travel or pen use.

Portability for creators and professionals is becoming more and more important as we want to be able to be able to create and get work done anywhere we want. The Asus ProArt PZ13 really delivers on this by providing an all encompassing experience that packs a punch!
PROS:
- Unboxing this, I really am impressed with the build on this. It has a high tech look with a modern design all while being sturdy and built for the go especially since its military grade strength. I also think the color scheme of the tablet, back cover, and keyboard all go along really well.
- The screen is really what pops and catches your eye the most but it makes sense given that it’s an OLED screen with Dolby Atmos and HDR screen. But all in all this is a great design given as a creator you want the colors to pop as much as you can and this screen brings it.
- The versatility is another huge selling point as it’s a touchscreen tablet, but then you can add a kickstand backing to it, and then you can add a keyboard case as well. Huge setup to be able use this in 3 different ways and more!
- Under the hood, the PZ13 has a ton of power. It’s powered by Windows 11 with 1 TB SSD and 16 GB memory. Along with that, it has Gen AI built in with a dedicated AI chip. This is super helpful as Gen AI is something that helps enhance your work as well as make mundane tasks a lot easier. It’s really nice to have this as a future proof asset too!
- This also comes with 2 USB-C ports and and SD card reader which just adds to the versatility. A nice way to be able to work with different content on the go, especially with creators!
CONS:
- My only downside is that this did not come with a stylus pen, you can but it separately but it would be great to have it included up front.
BOTTOM LINE:
- The Asus PZ13 offers so much in a small package. It comes loaded with so many big time features like an OLED screen, Dolby Vision / Atmos, Gen AI chip, touchscreen, detachable keyboard, and 1 TB of storage. This really is the do it all for creators or professionals on the go, or just anyone who wants the best out of their computing experience no matter where they are.

The ASUS ProArt PZ13 is a versatile laptop for creators that seamlessly offer the functionality of a laptop with the portability of a tablet. It is designed specifically for creators so let me explain as I am a creator myself while keeping it short.
The ProArt PZ13 has a sleek and modern design, with a thickness of just 9mm and a weight of 850g. The detachable keyboard adds an additional 350g, making it easy to carry around without compromising its performance. The device has an IP52 rating, so it is protected from dust and water splashes.
This laptop comes with a brilliant OLED display that has vibrant colors and very sharp details; it is perfect for creative work that I do, photo editing, graphic design, and video creation. The 2880 by 1800 resolution screen shows every detail, I really like how the colors and contrast show.
The ProArt PZ13 is powered by a Snapdragon X Series processor, and it comes with 16GB of LPDDR5 RAM and a 1TB PCIe SSD. In return it offers super-fast performance, so I am able to run multiple applications simultaneously without any lag. I do edit high-resolution videos as well as edit photos and design as well and it does everything well.
The PZ13 comes with a long lasting 70Wh battery, and it provides sufficient power to get you through an entire day of work. So now I can do all the work anywhere I am and it is reliable. It also comes with two cameras rear camera with 13mp and the front camera 5mp so I can capture photo and video right from the laptop.
One of the outstanding feature the PZ13 offers is the StoryCube, I can use the AI assistance to sort, edit, manage and export files and it is easy to use. The Proart Creator Hub lets me monitorize my device status. I will get the Asus Pen 2.0 to go with my laptop so I can do more.
I also like that I can connect it using either one of the two USB-C ports, an SD card slot and since it comes with a microSD card adapter I can use that too. As soon as I take a video or photo I can just insert the SD Card right on the laptop to start editing right away.
I can connect it using the Wi-Fi 6 at my house, even a Wi-Fi 7 and via Bluetooth 5.2 so it offers a stable connection.
Overall, the ASUS ProArt PZ13 is a fantastic choice for creators like me who need a powerful and portable device. It not only looks amazing, it offers great performance while being reliable. I can continue editing videos, photos and design all day long, there are so many other features like Dolby Atmos sound, 3 mic array, included applications, copilot+ and it can withstand extreme weather.

Perfect Art Focused Travel Tablet

This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.
Our current tablet took a tumble it was not going to get back up from. I decided to replace the android tablet with something that would be more powerful and art focused, with a better ability to sketch and edit digital photos. I picked the ASUS ProArt PZ13 Convertible Tablet because I’m familiar with the ASUS brand. I’ve been considering picking up a ProArt series monitor or computer for my Partner now for a few years, so this was the perfect time to check of both these boxes.
Pros:
- Beautiful, Bright, and Vivid OLED screen.
- Magnetic case and keyboard included!
- Powerful versatile tablet.
- Good battery life.
Cons:
- CoPilot+ software features still don’t deliver.
- Doesn’t come with an ASUS Pen 2.0 Stylus.
- Only 2 USB C ports & SD Card slots Could use another USB C or 2.
- Software compatibility is an Issue.
Out of the Box:
The Asus ProArt PZ13’s setup feels very much like any tablet, until you snap on the magnetic case and keyboard. Then the setup is just like a normal Windows laptop, the transformation between tablet and laptop is smooth and easy. The tablet with keyboard case attached feels heavier than other tablets with a case on but is noticeably lighter than a comparable laptop.
The PZ13 has 2 USB-C ports and an SD Card slot, with the SD Card slot and 1 USB-C under a dust shield. Asus includes an SD Card to Micro SD converter. On the other side are volume buttons, with the bottom having the Keyboard connector.
Keyboard/Case/Stand:
The included magnetic keyboard case is a huge plus to the PZ13, the keyboard and case just snap on and are ready to go. I found the chiclet keyboard to be very comfortable and responsive to type on, though I have smaller than average hands, so anyone with larger digits might find the keyboard to be small. The keyboard is backlit which makes it easier for working on the go and in the dark.
The included multi-touch track pad is good and supports smart gestures that help with navigation. I did find that the sensitivity of the Brightness and Volume controls on the Left and Right sides of the touchpad to be too low, it took a few swipes to get the tablet to register the input. But both settings can be controlled via other settings or buttons on the side of the tablet, which makes this a minor concern for me.
With the front half of the case working as a keyboard, the back half of the case also must carry some weight, as it folds out as a stand which props up the tablet to the perfect viewing angle. This makes it the perfect on the go tablet that can then fold out easily into a comfortable and productive workspace. The only thing missing from this convertible tablet is a Stylus, which can be purchased separately as an optional add-on, but it feels like a huge, missed opportunity by ASUS to not bundle the ASUS Pen 2.0 with a tablet that would really benefit from the Stylus. I’m kind of confused but will most likely be ordering the Stylus in the next few weeks.
The only concern I had about the keyboard case was that it left the corners of the table exposed.
The tablet itself has an IP52 rating and Corning Gorilla Glass but is still a tablet and with a chance to hit the side of the tablet directly if dropped always has me concerned. I’ll likely get some bumpers or pads, just to avoid a similar fate of the last tablet.
OLED Touch Screen:
The BEST feature of the ProArt PZ13 is front and center, the beautiful OLED Touch screen is vivid and bright. OLED technology is still a newer technology with some issues to work out, but ASUS has done a great job with this screen. The whites are bright but not overwhelming in a way that hurts the eye. Reading text can be a bit tiring on the eye but switching to a dark theme (black background with white text) makes it much easier on the eyes.
The colors just pop with vividness that is on another level. The ProArt series is known for its color accuracy, and it does not disappoint. Overall, I found the colors were very close though the Reds and Oranges did come off heightened or more intense than would be in real life, but I didn’t find this to be a big enough issue for our use and could be adjusted through calibration in the future. The most noticeable difference between a backlit screen vs. the OLED screen is when looking at true black, it’s like staring into a void of color! Amazing!
The touch screen does take an intentional press to register a touch, such that I didn’t notice any issues getting it to register a press but noticed that accidental presses from the side of my hand or swipes across the screen didn’t get picked up. This is very helpful in the case where you are drawing or editing with a stylus and resting the side of your palm on the screen, the table will not register it as a press.
CoPilot+:
Honestly, I’ve yet to really see a software benefit for the CoPilot+ PC’s. It is nice that anything with CoPilot+ will have a minimum of hardware specs that should be good for most people, the other benefits will really depend on what applications you use. We were able to take advantage of Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop, as they have native versions that run on ARM Processors, which made editing headshots on the go easier than before which would require us to wait to get home to do so on one of the desktops. But this was mostly due to the hardware and had less to do with the CoPilot+ features, which left me unimpressed.
Performance:
As mentioned above, I found doing light editing and adjustments on photos to be a breeze on the ProArt PZ13, this was no desktop computer but was able to work through multiple adjustments in a reasonable time without crashing or hanging up. But this was due to using an App specifically made for the ARM processor. I would confirm that your software of choice works on an ARM device before purchasing one, as without that you will most likely encounter issues with performance or even getting the app to work. We were unable to get most games to launch, MTG Arena would launch but the experience was less than desirable.
Battery life was great, even on maximum brightness without any power savings changes I was able to get through a full 8-hour day on battery alone with plenty of battery left to watch a few episodes that night.
Conclusion:
Overall, the ASUS ProArt PZ13 Convertible Tablet has been an amazing upgrade to replace our old tablet, the OLED Screen is Beautiful, and the ARM based processor is powerful yet efficient enough to get through a whole workday on a single charge. The included Keyboard-Stand-Case really adds to the portability and versatility of the tablet. The biggest downside is that ASUS didn’t include the ASUS Pen 2.0 with the tablet. It is worth picking up the Stylus if you plan on doing any drawing or photo editing that requires fine details.
I’ll be adding the ProArt PZ13 to my list of suggestions for any Artist, Editor, or Content Creator who wants a tablet that is portable, powerful, and color accurate but also acts like a computer when they need to do the business side of things. The only consideration will be whether their preferred Apps work on the ARM systems.

Creator’s Companion with an Identity Crisis

Hey everyone! Just got my hands on the ASUS ProArt PA13-inch, and it’s been a ride full of highs and a few baffling lows. Let’s dive into what makes this hybrid tick and where it might leave you scratching your head.
Design, Build, and Display
Starting with the good stuff—the build quality is top-notch with a solid aluminum housing that feels like it could survive a few bumps. But switching to tablet mode, it’s bulky, and those thick bezels throw me back to 2017. The kickstand is super sturdy and has a rugged military green design that seems out of place for a device named “ProArt.” Seriously, it looks like it’s made for a war zone, not an art studio. And why is there a pen loop when there’s no pen included? Missed the mark there, ASUS.
The OLED display, however, is where the ProArt shines. Text is crisp, colors pop beautifully, and videos look fantastic, though I wish it was brighter for those sunny days out or bright cafes.
Performance and Usability
Performance-wise, the Snapdragon processor handles Windows 11 smoothly, making multitasking a breeze, especially when I plug into a monitor. The integration with Copilot and other professional tools is seamless, boosting productivity without a hitch. But let’s talk about the keyboard—it’s a letdown. On uneven surfaces, it bounces around, and it lacks the ability to tilt, which feels like a basic expectation missed.
Gaming is not its forte, but cloud gaming on Xbox ran decently, aside from some blurriness. The cameras and audio are just okay—the front camera angle makes for some unflattering chin shots, and the speakers, while loud, lack depth. For serious sessions, I definitely recommend headphones.
Battery Life and Overall Thoughts
Battery life is decent enough unless you’re cranking up the brightness to max, which you’ll need to because the screen isn’t the brightest. It charges via USB-C, which is convenient since it matches most of my other devices.
So, who is this for? Despite its name, the ProArt seems confused about its audience. It feels like it’s caught between being a rugged field device and a creator’s main gadget. The fantastic screen and solid performance are there, but the design quirks and accessory choices might put off the creative pros it’s supposed to attract.
In summary, the ASUS ProArt PA13-inch is great for those who prioritize display quality and software integration but don’t mind a few compromises in design and ergonomics. It’s a mixed bag, but it has its charms, especially for users who can look past its identity crisis.

An impressive laptop

There are a lot of things to say/cover about this unique and impressive convertible laptop.
This is my first convertible/detachable laptop that doesn't have a self-supporting hinge; making it closer to a tablet than a laptop. There are some drawbacks to having a laptop that needs to be propped up in the back, mainly that it will always need space behind it to hold it up. But that's just the nature of this category of laptop.
But one of the neat things about this is not only does the keyboard detach, but the back support does as well, allowing you to shed extra weight and thickness to get a true tablet form factor. However, it's still somewhat heavier and thicker than your typical laptop. With the back support/cover and keyboard attached, it's surprisingly hefty feeling for its size.
When using it in the laptop form factor, the keyboard sits flat on your work surface. You cannot lift/prop up the top of the keyboard for a more sloped surface. There is enough flex in the hinge part to do it, but there is nothing to keep it in position. The keyboard is otherwise reasonable to type on, and I like the font used on the keys, and has a nice soft backlighting giving it a nice professional appearance. One of special function keys that is actually useful that I think more keyboards should include is an emoji key, which launches a Windows emoji/gif/characters window, which is one of those small things that make you go "why didn't anyone think of this before?".
The touchpad includes hotzones for adjusting volume, screen brightness, and launching asus screen expert. These can be disabled in MyAsus, and I'd probably recommend most do so, as it otherwise can make the touchpad feel unresponsive if you happen to touch one of those zone when you don't mean to.
The laptop itself has speakers on the bottom left and right sides, meaning they point off to the right and off to the left. Also, I found when holding the computer as a tablet, my hands covered the speakers. To work around this, I'd turn the laptop "upside down", the screen rotates and now I can hold it without blocking the speakers.
The left side has the USB-C port in the middle for charging, and accessories if you wish. At the top left there is a cover that you can lift off (it stays tethered) to reveal a SD Card slot, and another USB-C port. You can't put the cover back into place if there is an SD Card inserted. Asus has included a basic microSD to SD Card adapter, so you can use microSD cards too. But many microSD cards also come with such an adapter.
I don't really like the USB-C port position, because if you have a dongle attached to plug in some other accessories... it becomes a bit awkward having it all hang off the top left of the screen.
The top right includes buttons for volume.
Some of the marketing materials imply this laptop comes with a pen. It does not come with a pen. I tore apart my box looking for a pen. No pen. I ordered one from Asus, though hasn't arrived yet. There is a plastic flexible loop to hold the pen.
The back case/support is held on rather strongly by a magnet feels equally strong and stiff, meaning it won't accidentally collapse on you. You can fold it from its flat 0° against the screen all the way back to approximately 140°, which gives you a lot of display placement options.
Now, this has the Snapdragon X ARM CPU. You'd be forgiven for not realizing that's what's powering this thing. It's a completely seamless experience, with exceptional performance. Better yet, this laptop stays cool... or I think it does. I've never noticed the fans, if they've ever turned on.
And the battery life is phenomenal. As I type this review, I'm at 88% battery, where I had previously watched some youtube videos, streamed live TV, some web browsing, etc... and Windows currently estimates 13 hours of battery remaining. And I believe it, I've only had to charge this laptop once (earlier today) since I got it (not counting the first out-of-the-box charge).
Asus includes "ProArt" software, and really it's just a way to control the screen color profiles, and manage performance profiles. Speaking of the screen, it truly is nice, the only negative is that it is only 60hz, and after using some screens that are 120-140+Hz, 60 feels like so last decade.

The Best Screen I've Seen, Simply Stunning!

Oh man, this device just screams Premium! From the time you start opening to finally getting it all setup. The unboxing was an experience in itself. Asus provided Premium packaging and Care. You get the tablet in a Luxurious ProArt Deep Black box! You get the tablet, USB-C charging cable (65W), Mini SD card reader to SD card reader, back cover, and the keyboard attachment.
The screen on the tablet is Simply Gorgeous! I'm not sure what Asus is doing but this is the best OLED screen I've had the pleasure of seeing. The deep rich blacks are one of a kind. The other colors are rich and pop with the right settings. The Tablet itself comes with two USB-4 slots and an SD slot.
The speakers are good. They lack bass but they get reasonably loud. The keyboard attachment has of Premium feeling as well. The trackpad was a joy to use. I'm not sure if it's glass but man, did it feel nice. The experience of satisfying clicks with each press. I enjoyed the trackpad. Also, the size of the trackpad isn't tiny. It is of reasonable size since it's a smaller form device. The typing experience was good as well. Shallow key presses which are fine. Nothing that was a problem. I didn't know what to expect from this tablet design because I'm so used to laptops. The Asus ProArt pz13 nailed it with the tablet-to-laptop design. The case is magnetic and attaches on. Not once did it fall off, move, or reposition without my choosing.
The camera is of good quality as well. I just checked it out briefly. With good lighting the image was crisp. If I had to do any work meetings this would be more than fine for me.
Now, the CPU in the device is one I couldn't find much information on. At first, I was a bit disappointed it wasn't using the standard 10-core Snapdragon X Plus CPU. It used an 8-core more efficient version the Snapdragon X Plus X1P42100. This may explain the amazing battery life. At 35% screen brightness I was able to get 20 Hours on video playback live streaming. Yes, you read that correctly, 20 Hours of live streaming video playback.
Not all is Sunshine though. For such an amazing device they decided to go with a 60Hz screen. Why oh why, the OLED is amazing. 120Hz would have been ideal since this is targeted to creators. Lastly, you only get 16 GB of RAM. 32 GB of RAM would have been ideal or even 24 GB. This is targeted to creators so more RAM is always a plus. I wish it came with the Asus Pen. You added a slot on the case but you have to purchase the pen separately. Come on Asus that is crap...
Overall this is a stunning tablet to laptop. It is extremely lightweight and perfect for traveling. You get an amazing screen. You get 1TB of storage. You get a good keyboard with an amazing trackpad. You also get the capability to go from a tablet to a laptop quickly! I highly recommend this if this fits your niche.

Asus Delivered a Perfect Portable

For those that need to be creative on the go, it can often be limited to a mobile experience. The new Asus ProArt PZ13 really breaks that mold by making something sleek and portable but with the power of some of the best PC.
PROS:
- Onboxing this, I really liked the design of this! It has a mix of being slim and portable but has a bit of ruggedness to it that makes it feel ready to go wherever you need it to go with you.
- Once setup, I was immediately impressed by the screen. Which makes sense because it is an OLED with Dolby Vision HDR which means all the colors really pop. This is a huge bonus as when you are working, creating content, or consuming content, you want the colors to be exact and crisp as possible and this Asus brings it. Along with that, it is of course a touch screen which is what you would expect from a great package like this!
- Along with a fantastic screen, this tablet has Dolby Atmos speakers along with really great mics for recording for video conferencing.
- Speaking of that, the cameras on this are surprisingly great! I say surprising because tablet cameras can be hit or miss but the Asus proves it has some legit cameras for video conferencing or content creation.
- The true selling point of this though is its power. This tablet is loaded with big time specs like 1 TB SSD, 16 GB memory, and it comes with CoPilot AI via a dedicated AI chip. This AI really just helps enhance the work you already do, giving you more information and helping really refine the work you already do as well as get rid of that busy work you don’t want to do!
- From a physical standpoint, the keyboard is a joy to type on. It is fast and responsive, and connects well to the tablet. I also really like the back cover it has with a built in kickstand. All in all it comes together as a complete package!
- Versatility is another huge selling point for me. You can use it as a bare tablet, add on the back cover for additional support and kickstand, and then add the keyboard for a fully formed laptop that can close with complete coverage.
CONS:
- My only issue is that I wish this came with a stylus. This would have been a nice a addition to really put the cherry on top.
BOTTOM LINE:
- Creators and professionals want something that can work wherever you can work. The Asus ProArt tablet is a fantastic example of that. It comes loaded with features like OLED Screen, Dolby Vision & Atmos, USB-C Ports, SD Card reader, Gen AI, and 1 TB of storage. All of that in a super sleek package that looks incredible and runs on Windows 11. This is a do it all machine for creators to consume or create, as well as for professionals, or just people that want the best out of their computing experience!

Good, rugged looking tablet with some misses

This new ProArt tablet has some really great design and features going for it. It’s marketed as a rugged tablet for exploration and creativity on the go. And in that, it looks the part. But not without having some limitations and frustrations in use, mostly pertaining to the included case/kickstand and keyboard.
__DESIGN & AESTHETIC__
But before nit picking, I should talk about what it excels at. Namely, looking the part and delivering a speedy PC experience. I love the look, it’s a bit masculine in its only included case color option: a nearly military-inspired, sage green with raised ribs and a fabric with a bit of texture but that looks and feels water repellant. It’s a great choice and helps it stand out from the other devices on the market. The tablet contained within is similarly styled to be rugged by design, with cambered edges with subtle notching that looks great, while disguising its actual thickness.
Packed inside is a respectably larger-than-typical 70 wh battery that allows this device to go the distance. A mid-grade snapdragon processor with 8 cores feels adequate for the price, and a large 1 TB hard drive and full-sized SD card slot (with included micro SD adaptor) round it out. ASUS also designed in a sleek looking ventilation system with a port on the back and slot on the top, all fitting in with the precision, robust look.
The screen is also gorgeous, with a 2880 by 1800 (3K) OLED at 60hz. It’s bright and the resolution at this size looks fantastic. Like most modern arm-based PCs, it excels at most tasks, even without having the highest level processor. It’s very power efficient and that sizable battery could make it a great travel companion.
Not to be overlooked is that you get the whole package. There is no additional case or keyboard to buy, they’re both included in the box, making for a great value - as long as it meets your needs. Many offerings in this form-factor can cost twice as much as the ProArt once you take into account these add-on accessories. You can also spring for the ASUS Pen 2.0, but that is an additional accessory.
__TRADEOFFS__
But even with its great design, there are some notable tradeoffs. The biggest for me being my difficulty in opening the device. No matter how I approach it, it takes about 5-10 seconds to position it for use. Unlike a laptop, I have to first get a grip on the rear kickstand and pull it up into position, then flip up the whole device and pull down the keyboard side. I tried many approaches, but the magnets and hinges are strong (possibly too strong) and there’s not a lot to grab onto to gain enough force to get these elements into position. All edges of the keyboard and rear case panel have welded plastic seams that flex as you try grip them… it’s easy for a finger to slip.
I’m getting better at it with time, but those plastic welds are another point of potential concern. I’ve had similar cases before and the welded edge seams are often the most likely places for failure after repeated flexing. Since the kickstand rests most of the weight on one of these types of edge seams, I worry that after enough use, it may break open or crack. I will say, however, these do seem a bit thicker than normal. Hopefully my concerns will go unfounded, but without the test of time, I can only play it careful.
Additionally, while the tablet alone weight 1.87 lbs, it has a decent weight at around 3.5 lbs with the case and keyboard attached. It has heft to it, and you can feel it. It still looks great, and seems compact enough, but it’s over a pound heavier than a current 13” OLED laptop with similar specs that I own.
Toughness also seems to be a bit overblown, as an IP52 rating only provides decent dust protection, and water resistance only to light water droplets at an angle. This makes sense, given a fan port is at the top. I would recommend protecting this tablet from rain and water. The keyboard also has small gaps at the side of the trackpad that could easily allow water inside.
__PRICED RIGHT__
But the above should really be understood under the price point of this tablet. It offers some really respectable specs for the price. As mentioned above, the included keyboard and case, great screen, large 1TB storage and SD slot could make this a great pick for someone doing photography editing on the run. It provides a touch screen experience, IR Camera w/ Windows Hello for simple login, 16gb of fast ram and is CoPilot ready with a modern NPU. Other offerings can cost much much more, while often offering less battery capacity and storage (though usually a higher end processor).
__SUMMARY__
In my time so far with the PZ13, I can say that it’s a really great deal for the right person. It feels snappy and fast, the screen is fantastic, I love the design, and while it’s a bit heavy and I don’t love the process of opening it up when the case is on. I quite like it.
I would recommend this to a friend

I really like smaller laptops like this for their extreme portability. The ProArt PZ13 is a perfect 13.3” display. Think of it as a small laptop or a large tablet, it just depends on your point of view. There are a lot of features on this machine to like, but it's obviously best suited for content developers, photographers or digital artists. This is just based on how it's setup and doesn't mean that if you're looking for a good all around portable laptop, you wouldn't be happy choosing this one. It's a great machine.
I don't like to dwell on posted specs that people can find easily enough for themselves, but I think in this case it's warranted because it's a machine with a specific set of features that are becoming more and more popular these days. It's able to play some games but I would not call it a gaming machine. It's strengths lie in a different direction. The processor is a Qualcomm Snapdragon X Plus. It includes a Neural Processor for AI development and performs very well as a business machine or general use use machine in addition to the artwork generation capabilities.
The tablet portion is an AMOLED touchscreen and has a full HD resolution of 2880 X 1800. It's bright and responsive and I would have really liked to have tried out the stylus with this tablet but alas, this version doesn't come with one, and in fact if you want one, it will cost you an additional 100 bucks. But if you do decide to get the stylus, the tablet is already equipped with an integrated cloth strap style right on the case. You can use it as a tablet when it's removed from the included keyboard, or as a laptop when the keyboard is attached. The connection mechanism between the two is magnetic, so it's easy to guide the tablet onto the keyboard. The keyboard also functions as a durable case which is attached to the back of the tablet, also with a very strong magnet. It's got a great grippy feel and also has some texture to it which makes it very easy to grab and go with confidence.
Photographers will appreciate not only the 1TB SSD but the built in SD card slot as well. It even comes with an SD to microSD adapter. Additionally, the machine has two USB 4 ports. USB 4 can transfer data at 40Gbps so it works well for large data transfers from say, a portable solid state drive. As far as memory is concerned it has 16GB. The GPU could have been updated and stands as an integrated Adreno. It's fine for more general purpose and video that doesn't move as fast as higher end games do. For content creators or virtual meeting people, there's a 5MP front facing IR camera (and mic) and also a respectable 13MP rear camera. The use possibilities are pretty endless for this machine.
If you are a person who loves the idea of AI and likes to use it in things like creating artwork with the newest version of MS Paint that includes AI input and creation, this machine comes with it built in. You have a built in CoPilot key on the keyboard that brings up, you guessed it, the MS CoPilot chat window. There's also built in camera features that allow you (using AI) to select the amount of Bokeh blur behind you in meeting calls or helping to render you in a flattering way with lighting filters and facial augmentation. These are all presented by Microsoft as applications, but the machine is nicely set up for you to access these features easily. While using the AI is (for now, at least) more fun than a truly functional tool, you can see the direction things are going with this new technology.
So aside from all these bonus features, there's still more! The keyboard is also backlit which I feel is an absolute necessity these days. It also has a huge track pad with easy to find left and right mouse buttons. The built in speakers are surprisingly good and can play movies at a good volume level with reasonable sound quality. It has Bluetooth for anyone who prefers to connect a pair of earbuds or headphones, and battery life that continues to impress me. I've had the machine about a week and after the initial charge, I've only topped it off once (and I was only down to about 60%). Granted, I haven't tried using it all day on just battery power, and obviously your results are going to vary depending on how you like to use it, but I found it to be dependable.
I currently can only muster up a few minor gripes. The “door” that covers the SD card slot is a wonky thing that I'm never sure I'm using correctly, or about to break off. It also sits in front of the stylus holder, so I can only imagine how awkward it would be to use while storing the stylus. The other thing I find a bit annoying is the small clicking noise the keyboard makes from under my right palm. Every time I move my palm, it makes a low pitched clicking sound. Not sure what's actually making the sound but sounds internal. And finally, a 4K display resolution would have really been outstanding. I'm used to my machines having 4K displays so when you see one that's half that, you miss it. But for the money, you really can't beat the features this guy comes with. Like I said, minor gripes. The machine is a pleasure to use and for my purposes, I'll mostly be using it for it's small size, portability and healthy storage abilities. It will come in handy to download RAW photos from my S24 Ultra when we go on trips, and it has the accessibility most (if not all) people want and need. Plus the battery lasts a lot longer than I'll ever be away from a charging plug, which by the way, it does come with a hefty wall charger to USB-C plug. But I do wish it came with the stylus, I like to take notes and scribble quick drawings and the stylus would have also made it more fun to use the AI creation abilities in Paint. But a really nice machine overall!
