ASUS - ProArt PZ13 13" OLED 3K Detachable Laptop - Copilot+ PC - Snapdragon X Plus - 16GB Memory - 1TB SSD - Nano Black

Coming from a college student that used to haul two apple products at a time, I genuinely would recommend this laptop over those, especially at this price point. The X Plus chip is still a powerful and long-lasting battery, even if it's a year old (at the time of writing this review). The OLED screen makes me want to watch more movies and the size of the display isn't an issue at the slightest. It's portable and feels solid, compared to laptops around the same price point. The speakers aren't bad for casual use either, but it feels like it gets flat the louder it is. (FYI I am not an audiophile, so take that comment with a grain of salt) If you are a person who prefers to handwrite notes and also draw, I would recommend getting this laptop-- albeit the drawing function is finicky, if you can look past it, it still gets the job done and is still reliable. You could get an inexpensive stylus on other marketplaces and it'll work. (I recommend the Metapen brand) Some of the gripes that I have with this device is the kickstand, the keyboard, and how the ports are laid out: You lose out on comfortably resting it on your lap, but a good work around is flipping the keyboard and having the stand rest on the keyboard, making it bearable, although it will act as a tablet. The keyboard is reliable and easy to type on. I got used to it in a matter of a few seconds, but the touchpad is a little annoying. If you're resting your hands on the empty spaces of the keyboard and the surface isn't even, it'll register random left clicks, which hurts it's score. The stylus holder is practically a tiny sleeve that holds it on the side of the laptop. It feels a little flimsy, and with how this sleeve is placed, it sometimes gets in the way of the ports to charge. I really wish they would give us more customization with how the laptop looks. The case it comes with is a dull green, which may make people dislike it. If they would make it black (I believe they made the new PZ14 black), it would have probably been a more popular option-- or if they sold different color cases. I recommend this laptop if you: Want a laptop that can draw, write, and have touchscreen versatility. Want a beautiful display to enjoy movies, videos, and digital creation. Want a Surface Pro without the Surface Pro price tag. Now this is an ARM64 chipset, which means it's not compatible with all programs, compared to Ryzen and Intel's x86 chipsets. If you're playing games, I wouldn't recommend this, I haven't even tried any video games on it yet. I would look up ARM64 vs x86 to decide on a Snapdragon CPU or a Intel/AMD CPU.

I bought this device because of the OLED display and the fact that it included the lighted keyboard with a trackpad and back stand. The keyboard feel is good, but it is not practical, hard to store, carry around, the whole thing is too heavy, not sturdy for lap usage, you must set it up on a desk or flat sturdy surface, it needs a lot of space, this setup won't work on airplane tray. The PC/Tablet portion is super heavy, it has huge bezels and the display is not color calibrated at all. Colors are super vibrant and punchy, if all you doing is looking at graphics it looks amazing, but if you watching movies, people skin tones look like burned bricks and there is no way to adjust other then the super old windows color controls, or the different ICC profiles which do nothing, everything looks super yellow and super red. Not recommended. You better off with a regular laptop for work, and a regular tablet for media consumption. With this kind of money, you better off getting an Apple MacBook Air, More portable, more power, better battery life, and for sure 100% color accuracy.

Sleek and smooth! The screen is super clear. The processor is super fast. The portability is also cool. I love the army green color and magnetic snap on covers. The design is very thoughtful.

I got the PZ13 mainly for note-taking, and for that purpose, it actually does its job. The pen works well enough to get through classes, write notes, and keep everything organized digitally. It’s responsive most of the time, and once you get into a flow, it feels pretty natural. That said, it’s not perfect. Sometimes the pen input can be a little inconsistent, and palm rejection isn’t always reliable, which can interrupt your writing here and there. A lot of that comes down to Windows—it’s just not as polished for pen and touch as you’d expect from a dedicated tablet experience. Even with those quirks, it still works for what I need. I can take notes, sketch things out, and keep everything in one place without carrying notebooks around. So while it’s a little funky at times, especially because of Windows, it gets the job done for note-taking, which is what I bought it for in the first place.
