Perfect laptop for a college student like myself. Great for school work, research, etc. and personal use. The 2 in1 touch screen capabilities are fantastic and I have never had a problem with it. I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a decent laptop with a reasonable amount of storage. The SSD is very impressive. It is very fast and processes quickly. I was leaning toward two other laptops (Lenovo Yoga 910 and HP Spectre X360) before coming upon this one with the help of the Best Buy employees. I am glad that I chose this one over the other two. Performs well! Overall, it is a great laptop for everyday usage!

I got quite a few opinions before I bought this and it's definitely lived up to the standards. With the solid state drive and i7, I'm sure this will last me a long time. I have a lot of stuff I store on here and needed a bigger drive. The only downfall is that there's no number keyboard on the right side, due to size. I love that it's touch screen as well. Haven't used it as a tablet, but I'm looking forward to see how the keys work once they're on the bottom(if they type or if they become disabled temporarily)

The laptop feels solid, no rickety parts it seems. The unit is all metal shell and is light weight. The processor seems to have enough power to run our DJ software which can be processor intensive at times. It's not going to be as fast as a gaming rig but good enough to keep up and provide great portability.

Got lucky and this was an open box item at a store nearby. i7, 16gb, 512gb ssd for only $700, you can't beat it. Lightning fast startup and works well with photo editing software (I use Photoshop and Lightroom mostly). A great compromise between getting a table or bigger laptop. Very portable, you don't have to sacrifice power AND you're not paying $2k for it.

It has a good performance and is light and slim but fan is really noisy sometimes and could be annoying for some people. Keyboard could be a little better, for instance to use Home and End keys is necessary to hold the Function key. Despite these issues I think is currently a good deal.

    Pretty Decent Computer

I did a lot of research before buying this computer and seriously considered the Surface Pro, however considering the price, hard-drive size, processor, and ports of this computer I felt it was the much better buy. I love that it has the much larger SSD drive which allows me to put everything I need on the device so I have to rely less on cloud storage, it boots super fast and seems to have more than enough processor and memory to do what I need. I use it primarily as a desktop replacement connected to a 40" monitor and I wireless keyboard and mouse, however when I travel I have everything I need in a tiny device which allows me to manage my business anywhere in the world. I am mostly happy with a few exceptions. The touch screen is not as responsive as I would like it be and is not nearly as nice as my older yoga. Also the touchpad is not as responsive and I can't get two finger responses to work properly.

Amazing laptop...if you clean it up first

Bought this so my wife could use it for email, youtube, netflix, whatsapp, browsing the web, etc. I had to spend a bunch of time to get rid of some of the crapware Asus installed on this laptop (which was a headache because it's not going to be as clean as the signature edition windows laptops from the Microsoft store). Running CCleaner helped once everything was uninstalled. I also added the full version of Office, Chrome, Google Photos Uploader, and WhatsApp for Windows 10. When you finally disable some of the useless stuff on startup, this laptop flies! It gets 10 hours of battery life, has a fingerprint scanner for Windows Hello, and we've never had a problem with Asus fliplock. For something thin and light that you want to last for a long time without future lag, this is a fantastic laptop. Pair it up with a 13" sleeve and it's a great portable machine. No loud fan noise, no hiccups, tons of hard drive space, a full size HDMI port, SD card reader, USB 3 ports, and 1 USB C port. The only con: it's a fingerprint magnet. Asus includes a cleaning cloth which helps a lot. When the laptop is clean it looks slick, like a windows version of the 13" macbook.

Love the touch screen. Very quick in loading any programs or apps. The fan noise can be a little bit too much, especially if you were in a quiet room. The design makes it hard to open up. Thank goodness that I have fingernails that can help get the laptop open.

This is an excellent laptop. I’ve used it for school and work. The light weight, small size, and blazing speeds make it ideal for the classroom and office. I followed up with a more powerful Zenbook with a larger Ssd for my husband to take to work too. It’s perfect for frequent travel as well.

This fully featured Windows 10 convertible laptop meets my expectations. For under $1k on sale, it was a good deal, given the specs on memory, SSD, processor, touch screen, fingerprint sensor, attractive metal finish. As noted in reviews, the fan noise is sometimes noticeable, but usually brief.

This computer is everything I expected and everything I wanted. Long battery life, lightweight and fast, I couldn't ask for anything more. As I read in previous reviews, it is a bit of a fingerprint magnet, but what a small disadvantage to own a computer this great where performance is concerned.

Well balanced for a mobile work laptop. 8+ hours of battery life. Thin compact size, but a bit heavy for it's size. Bright screen and fast boot up with a solid state drive. No real compromises for what I need for work on the move.

The Asus 13.3 touchscreen 2 in 1 is fist, light and a pleasure to work on. Its light and small enough to be practical on flights, even in coach class. My previous laptop was way too big to work with in comfortable in the air. Price was reasonable.

    LOUD NOISES

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

Cons - Louder than a space ship blasting off - Oils from your fingerprints show up all over the machine I read the reviews about how noisy the cooling fan was. Still decided this was a great deal, and I was going to see for myself. I've built my own computers - and fan noise I can normally find soothing. I thought I was watching Top Gun when I powered this puppy up. It sounds like a jet engine preparing for take off. You need ear protection for this. It's unbelievably loud and totally unacceptable. It will chill out, but as soon as you browse the web, open a tab, anything that requires barely any CPU usage, it roars. I returned the first one I got, assuming it was a lemon like the others who complained, and got another new one. It's come with the same issue. I've been out of the computer world for a few years... I find this ridiculous for year 2017. I have to imagine that the folks who say it's quiet are older. (This is a real thing) Older ears can not hear high pitched noises as much as younger ears can. I called ASUS. They already got their money, so they told me to kick rocks basically. They also said I'm the only person to complain about this issue with this model. Best Buy has been nothing but good so far to me through out the entire buying and exchanging process. So, I'm sure I'll have no issues sending this back. This laptop is fast, it boots in about 6 seconds. I like the screen, the keyboard, it's backlit, and it looks slick and modern. The touchpad can be a little annoying trying to highlight words on a webpage. The color of this machine is lovely, but my gosh, the oils from your fingerprints show up like there's no tomorrow. I'm doing a short review on YouTube. Will post videos of the fan noise, and why you'll need a good cloth to clean this thing all the time. The model number will be in the title. My two calls to ASUS made me rethink who I'll be purchasing my replacement from. I wanted to love this machine.

We purchased this for both work and travel. The computer runs fantastic, its quiet, and does well on battery life. The tough screen and tablet functionality are awesome and save effort with our daughter trying to help.
