I had a (great) old Gateway 17" laptop that was 10 yrs old, still plugging away, but overheating & slow. My wife & I were holiday shopping (not for the laptop) & looked at several models. The Asus model caught my eye (I knew they had been in the tablet market for years). This machine was $100s cheaper than a comparable HP. The 12gb RAM & 1Tbyte of HD space really drew my attention. Lastly, this machine was sold by Best Buy as "open box" (previously sold & returned brand new ... NOT REFURBISHED). That meant even MORE savings! We're totally happy with quality/speed/usefulness (touchscreen laptop) of our Asus & Best Buy lived up to its name!

My previous ASUS was a great machine but had to be replaced, finally. I use this for a home based business and it's critical that it always be working. This ASUS is so FAST that my productivity has increased incredibly! I like the volume adjustment button on the side, so much simpler than having to click on the icon and then adjust the volume. I haven't used it much but the ability to use this as a tablet is a very cool feature! Love the touch screen, won't ever own a computer without that feature. This is just a great laptop/tablet--intuitive, fast, and more! Buy it!

Replacement for another brand that was nothing but problems. So far so good. Easy enough to use. Light and seems fast enough for my needs.

Bought this as a replacement computer for my husband, his old one was very outdated. He is very happy with this new one. Very fast, lite weight and easy to use.

This laptop was exactly what I needed - as a student with a full load of online classes I needed something with good processing power, a lot of memory and a lightweight body since I carry my book bag around a lot. This Asus had all of those things, a comfortable keyboard, and a price that didn't break the bank. The touchscreen and 180 degree flip screen were bonus features I find myself using a lot! All in all a great value for the price.

In the last year I have started doing a lot of video editing as a hobby. I needed to upgrade but had a budget I had to stay within. This computer has everything I wanted and needed for an incredible price. Reliable and capable.

The wife enjoys using this laptop. It's lightweight. Large screen. Fast. Good stuff.

The video quality is awesome! I used an HDMI cable and hooked it up to my HDTV and it was a rich experience. I did run into some slow processing and other performance issues due to Kaspersky. After uninstalling Kaspersky the performance issues were resolved. I am loving this 2 in 1 and it is easy on the eyes.

Bought this to replace old laptop. Bought it because of the specs and the student discount. I used this laptop for a week and it BSOD at least three times before I returned it. Geek Squad was very helpful and I swapped it for a new one of the same model (w/o charging me). So far it has been working without a hitch! It is a very fast computer and great for what I use it for. Keep in mind that if a computer has a great specs on paper doesn't necessary mean it has great performance (i.e. the first one I got of this model). Research thoroughly the computer model before purchasing as it is a major expense and I wasted a lot of time trying to troubleshoot.

Bad hard drive while still under warranty but otherwise this has been a good computer. My daughter especially likes to use it in tablet mode.

I have had this computer for a week. I have done browsing online and watched videos and so far so good. I was very impressed with this laptop, I had it playing tv shows on battery for three hours straight on my memory foam matress and it felt cool to the touch the whole time, never overheated. The battety life is not impressive but if you mess with the settings it does get increased a bit, not deal breaker for me. It feels like a well built computer and I like the casing. I am satiafied with my purchase.

I bought this laptop for my daughter. We were planning on purchasing the one with a smaller screen, but they were sold out. Saying that, my daughter was happy with the bigger screen. It runs fast, beautiful picture quality and I personally like the touch screen. A bonus that it was $150 of regular price. It's nice enough that I may go back and get my own.

Excellent laptop. Has a lot of RAM and memory space. I haven't downloaded a lot of programs. Would recommend this product

Its equipped with dual core i5 Skylake processor and 12GB of ram. I would have liked to have SSD at this price. Comparable models from HP, Dell, Acer & Lenovo at that time had SSD with them. However, I opted this because it was $50-70 bucks cheap and had a USB-C port. Its ideal for college students.

Love my laptop and the touch screen. Does a great job going from laptop to use for work to touch screen like an iPad for surfing the net and shopping.

This is a great budget friendly laptop. The touch screen feature is my favorite!

After much research and multiple tries, I happily brought this Asus home. It met all of the demands I had (except a DVD Rom... I'm told almost no laptops have them... a step backwards in technological advances in my opinion!), and at a fair price. After a months use, I'm finding all kinds of fun things it does that I was unaware of. Win, win. Highly recommend.

This laptop replaced an older Asus laptop which was going on 5 years old. Excellent fit and finish, fast and has many features I like everything about the laptop but Windows 10. I wish there was an option to use Windows 7 but I guess this is a sign of the times. I am very happy with this and use it primarily as a media server for my sound system.

I have had no problems with this laptop thus far. It is very efficient and fast. I get a lot of compliments on house nice and easy it is to type on my laptop. I enjoy the touch screen immensely. As a college student who has to use this laptop on a daily basis it preforms well, even above and beyond what I need it to. Overall wonderful laptop.
