This board was more than I was looking to spend, but it was well worth the price. It will post fine with Ryzen 5000 series chip, but needs a bios update for RAM support. The clear CMOS button comes in very handy when the board won't post with unsupported RAM timings. The 2.5gb LAN port is nice for future network upgrades. I have not yet added M.2 drives, but plan on adding one in the future and two M.2 gen 4 slots will prove handy.
Have used the board for a few weeks now and couldn't be happier. Works great with Ryzen 5800x and 3600 RAM.

So I bought this to replace a competitor motherboard I had bought a month prior to making the purchase. This board had everything I needed plus some. Sure its a little pricey, but it is worth the cost when it comes to being the veins of you computer.
All of the connectivity, as well as all of the ports worked right out of the box, and when I plugged my 5900x into it, I didn't need to flash the bios to use it right away.

This was the motherboard I chose for my first PC build. I did lots of research for a few months before deciding which mobo to go with. The Crosshair VIII hero received high praises every time. I paired it up with a 3800x and it was plug-n-play. Didn't need to update bios at all. Lots of usb ports & different usb headers. For a board in this price range though, I was expecting more fan headers. Another argb header would've been nice too as we all know more rgb = more frames!

This mobo has all the features and build quality for any mid to high-end PC build. I'm a big fan of Asus mobos though gigabyte does a good job too.

One of the best X570 AMD motherboards out there

With the arrival of the new AMD CPUs comes the new generation of motherboards. The issue with the new CPUs is that some of them draw a lot more power, 105-watts vs 65-watts.
Unfortunately, the higher power draw requires a lot beefier voltage regulator design on the motherboards and many fall far short of meeting the demands, especially ALL of the MSi MPG line of motherboards.
I bought the mid-line MSi X570 Gaming Pro Carbon motherboard with AMD's 105-watt 3900X CPU thinking a mid-line model would have decent VRM design (it's 5+2 phase). I was sadly mistaken as the VRMs on the board would overheat at 100+ degrees C which caused the board to slow down the CPU until the board cools down.
Reviews have shown that all of MSi's MPG boards are abysmal in design and have the same overheating issue. I ended up buying this ASUS board and the difference is astounding. Where the MSi board hit 100+ degrees, the ASUS 14+2 phase VRMs barely registers over 50 degrees. The board is slightly faster than the MSi which means the CPU is a couple of degrees hotter.
The only minor quibbles are that the onboard RGB lights are extremely faint with no way of adjusting the brightness and that inserting memory modules is a tad difficult with the type of slots it uses.
It has only two M.2 SSD slots (some boards have three) but it has eight SATA ports (some only have four).
Overall a great board for the price.

Great motherboard for overClocking Ryzen 3000 series. I Have a Ryzen 9 3900XT with a custom loop and with stock settings it’ll boost anywhere between 4.2-4.4 GHz with default bios settings while gaming. Has USB-C which is a big plus, & an extensive rear IO to boot. My only gripe is that for whatever reason, the Gskill RAM that I’m using refuses to OC to 3600 MHz. The most I can get it to is 2933. Kind of disappointing with such a high-end motherboard. Besides that, everything works great !

I searched long time before buying this one. I chose this one for its clean look. With lots of fan headers and rgb headers. Great build for a teenage girl to have the fancy lights. Bios very clean and easy to use. Slight issue trying to overclock the ram. No fclk on bios menu docp wont set up the ram automatically without crashing. Good thing theres bios flashback. Overall I still would buy this again.

Recently purchased a motherboard somewhere else and it failed in less than a week. Should have started at Best buy since they always have my back. My fam always jokes that when I walk into BB they say welcome back and serve me cookies. This mother board is the best.
