This laptop has been great to me thus far. It boots up in about 30s or less. Only issues I have are that sometimes I boot up the laptop and my wi-fi network isn't automatically connected to. It's fixed with a quick restart. I don't think that's a knock on the laptop, but more of a software issue since upgrading to Windows 10. I moved over to PC from a Mac and was hesitant at first, but this Asus ROG laptop is a beast compared to what I had! I'm loving it so far. I have had zero hardware issues and would highly recommend this product as an affordable laptop with some great tech specs.

Bought it for my son to begin college, very good battery, like the dual saving system of traditional hard drive and more stable format. Seems to be holding 3.8 grades so far and likes the gaming features.

Fast graphics. Great computer for students and anyone wanting a prime machine for gaming, streaming movies and TV.

Very fast and able to handle running large programs at the same time. Exactly what I needed. Love the lighted keyboard. Just wish the screen was a bit larger. Other than that, awesome laptop.

For the technical college degrees, this laptop offers the best all around performance features for the price. Since Best Buy has locations in other cities, by adding the Geek Squad, if the college student has problems with the laptop, they can conveniently travel to a local store and get help. Best all around buy for us.

Bought this computer for my son for college. It's super fast drive and quad core helps him with his college coding. Speed is awesome and memory is substantial and space is plentiful on both hhd and ssd. Great for animation projects and coding. I've been also told it's great speed and memory is awesome for gaming and Internet. Blows away most I've seen and researched. It's pricy but worth it.

Has been a very fast computer and been great for what I have needed it for! Only issue I have had is the incompatibility of Windows 10 with programs that I use.

Great Buy..runs fast, only wish that I could choose where to download programs such as itunes and apple as it is taking up space in main hard drive.

First purchased the HP Omen which was a very good laptop but had poor battery performance - only lasted 2.5 hours. Then purchased this Asus ROG G Series and it has been outstanding - so far. Very fast and the battery lasts for all of my classes (mechanical engineering) with plenty left over. Even comes with a gaming mouse. Very happy with the purchase.

I bought this laptop through a marketplace seller approved by BestBuy. The name of the company is Beach Camera, based out of Edison, New Jersey. I got my ROG seeing the value for the money. $1300 for an i7, 16gb of ram, a 1tb HD at 7200rpms, an optical drive, full hd, and an SSD? With an NVidia 960m onboard? What could go wrong? ABSOLUTELY EVERYTHING. I am in the process of trying to return this laptop. I'm taking it to the geeksquad to see what they can do, but I can't recommend this to anyone. It just doesn't work. Plain and simple. With these components, I should be able to run any game I have at max settings with a solid 50-60fps. I can't even run CSGO. Every game I try to load up crashes. I've tried everything; drivers, customization, streamlining, nothing works. The computer just simply doesn't live up to its specs. The only thing it can reliably carry out are its basic functions, such as IE. It runs normal programs fine, but can't run a single game. The whole purpose of a gaming laptop is to run games. If I wanted a regular laptop, I could get one with a similar processor/ram/HDD combo for $8-900, not $1300. I am so disappointed with this hassle, I just wanted to buy a seemingly great machine and finally enjoy playing the games I love the way they are meant to be played. Now I'm thinking of just buying an average regular laptop like an hp or acer, and just buying a ps4/xbox1 to play games on. I'd have to refund all my recent steam sale purchases.... etc. etc. I just wish I had a good machine. But this is a piece of ****. Avoid this like the plague.
